" The city is so beautiful from here". Diamond said in admiration.
" I know right". Tanya agreed.
Diamond took out her phone and took a picture of herself and Tanya, capturing the moment forever.
Soon there orders were taken and their foods were served.
Tanya's eyes lit up she took in the sight of the food.
" You never get tired of eating, do you?". Diamond asked in disbelief.
Tanya smiled mischievously" Oh I do, when I'm satisfied".
Diamond chuckled hysterically before concentrating on her food.
Her mind leaving the present and drifting to some minutes ago when she had seen the email sent to her by the company. The company. She still couldn't believe it.
She decided not to get her hopes up as she was just going to be interviewed and hadn't yet been given the job.
She dismissively waved off her thoughts and decided to focus on the present.
They had finished there foods in no time and resolved to staying a little longer before heading back home.
Diamond couldn't thank Tanya enough for sponsoring their outing and covering the bills. Some times she wondered what life would be like without Tanya. Tanya was the only family she knew and she never for one day gave her reasons to doubt her love. She was indeed the sister she never had.
Time went by fast and soon they were on their way back home.
They were happy to have reached home before the curfew despite the traffic jam.
Having had enough to eat, the both girls ventured up to their room feeling exhausted. They bid each other goodnight as they finally departed to their various rooms.
Despite being exhausted, Diamond couldn't get her mind off her upcoming interview. She wondered on what it would be like and the things that could go wrong. Pushing her thoughts away, she decided to get some sleep.
She closed her eyes and mumbled some words of prayers and within minutes she had fallen asleep.
