Diamond woke up feeling strong and rejuvenated as she yawned and stretched.
Yesterday was really hectic but today she was going to enjoy every bit of her day.
She sat up on her bed and stared at her room before her gaze gently settled on the pile of clothes in her laundry basket.
"Yes I would start with doing my laundry."
She got out of bed and lazily slid her legs into her furry slippers before going to her wardrobe to look for clothes to wear.
She slowly pulled out a sundress and placed it on her bed before going to shower.
Diamond came out of the bathroom after a few minutes, wrapped in a towel.
She quickly slid into the sundress before going to her makeup station where she brushed her hair and applied a lipgloss.
"Perfect", she said and took her laundry basket and headed out.
Diamond strolled towards the laundry room with her laundry basket. She quickly put the basket down and began filling the washing machine with water before adding detergent and finally putting her clothes inside.
She decided to seat on one of the stools and wait for the washing timer to go off.
She decided to wait and get it all done at once, rather than coming back later.
She pulled out her phone from her pocket and began scrolling through some funny videos on Instagram, not noticing when the washing timer had gone off.
"Oh", she exclaimed when she finally took notice of it.
She hastily stood up and began to remove her clothes from the washing machine before rinsing and spreading them.
Phew, she said as she drained the washing machine and rinsed it. She picked up her phone and left.
She decided to go check up on Tanya since they were supposed to spend the day together.
When she reached Tanya's room, she gently knocked on the door but she got no response.
She wondered what Tanya was up to and gently opened the door only to find Tanya sleeping and snoring.
Diamond burst into the room and then pounced on Tanya's bed causing Tanya to jerk up.
"Hey, what tha", Tanya screamed.
"Good morning", Diamond said with an annoying smile.
Tanya now sat on the bed, her hair messy, staring at nothing before she spoke. "I hate you".
"I know right", Diamond said excitedly and gave Tanya a peck on her cheek, making Tanya to smile .
"Common, you have to shower", Diamond said while dragging Tanya out of the bed.
Tanya groaned in disagreement, "but I was just about to meet my prince charming".
"Don't worry, you'll definitely meet him", Diamond said, pating Tanya on the head before gesturing for her to go shower.
Diamond moved towards Tanya's wardrobe.
"What shall you wear today", Diamond said as she glanced through Tanya's wardrobe.
"Uhuh", Diamond said as she pulled at a blue gown, "this will do".
She laid it on the bed and then sat beside it. But she soon got bored and decided to watch some videos on her phone but she was soon interrupted by Tanya.
"I'm back", Tanya sang.
Diamond shook her head in disbelief. Tanya was unbelievable.
"Get dressed already", Diamond said, handing Tanya the clothes she had brought out.
"I could enjoy this every day", Tanya said as she collected the clothes and slipped comfortably into them.
"Well I'll urge you to enjoy it while it last".
"Oh I will", Tanya said as she combed her hair.
"Ha ha ha", Diamond laughed ironically, rolling her eyes at the situation.
Diamond hands flew to her tummy as it made a rumbling sound. "I'm hungry".
" Yh, me too, let's order food". Tanya suggested.
"Great idea". Diamond agreed.
Tanya went ahead to order food as they both made there way downstairs.
They decided to watch a movie while waiting for there order to arrive.
Tanya was quite impatient, pestering now and then about the delay of there order when they suddenly heard the door bell.
Ding dong
"Finally!". Tanya exclaimed as she jumped off sofa and went to take there order.
She hastily dropped it on the table and unpacked it impatiently.
The aroma of freshly cooked pizza wafted through the air, making Diamond's stomach rumble with hunger.
Tanya let out a sigh of relief as she took the first slice of pizza. "Mmmm,Yumm". She exclaimed, biting into it.
Diamond chuckled seeing her friend in this state. She knew her friend could go totally bonkers for food.
"Easy", she cautioned Tanya.
Diamond was about to unpack her food when she heard a beeping sound from her phone.
She quickly reached for it. Her eyes widened as she began to scroll through it.
"Omg, omg". She exclaimed excitedly as she began to jump on the sofa.
Tanya who was now surprised and anxious as to what her friend was so excited about impatiently asked.
"What's going on, what's the fuss about".
" I... I...". Diamond stammered. Gasping for breath after her jumping fit.
She took a deep breath to calm herself before she finally spoke.
"I've just been invited to one of the companies I submitted my CV for a formal interview, squeaa!!!".
"No way". Tanya said in disbelief.
"Yes way".
"What's the name of the company ".
"It's um... Olive heights". Diamond confirmed while scrolling through her phone.
"Olive heights". Tanya murmured thoughtfully, trying to figure out something before she suddenly snapped her fingers in realization.
Tanya's eyes widened"Omg that's one of the most Biggest and influential companies in the world". Tanya exclaimed.
"No way". Diamond said in disbelief.
" Let me see", Tanya said and snatched Diamonds phone from her hands. Her jaw dropped as she confirmed what her friend had just said.
"Yes way, omg, babe this is a good news, this calls for celebration".
Diamond could not believe what she was hearing. She had been searching for a reasonable job since she had graduated from college and now, here she was being considered to work in one of the most Biggest and influential companies.
Maybe she was lucky afterall.
"Diamond, Diamond". She was suddenly pulled out of her trail of thoughts by Tanya's call.
"You are crying". Tanya said, worry flashing across her eyes. " Oh come here". She said pulling Diamond into her embrace.
"Don't cry. She said, patting Diamond on the back, moreover, your interview is next tomorrow".
"What?". Diamond exclaimed pulling away from Tanya's embrace.
"It's written here. Tanya said, holding the phone up to show Diamond. Didn't you read that part".
Diamond grabbed the phone from Tanya's hand, eager to confirm it for herself.
Diamond couldn't help but freakout as she confirmed the date and time. She had an interview on Thursday by 10:00am and she was the least prepared.
"Chillax, it's just an interview, all you have to do is to put in your best". Tanya finally spoke, gently squeezing Diamonds hands.
"It's just an interview". Diamond repeated, taking a deep breath.
" I'm in impressed babe, how did you manage to pull this off". Tanya asked. She still couldn't believe the reality of the situation.
"I don't know. Diamond shrugged. I just submitted my CV to some companies, I figured out that would be more faster".
" Wow that was really smart of you. Tanya said. And now it's time to celebrate, common, she beckoned on Diamond. We are going out".
Tanya swiftly put away there foods while Diamond went around the house to make sure everything was in check before they bolted out of the house.
It didn't take long before their cab arrived and soon they where at there destination.
It was a fancy restaurant. One of the most Biggest restaurants that served almost any delicacy you could name.
They took a seat in the corner near a glass frame that gave them a precise view of the city.
