After finishing the meeting with them Damien was left alone in the study thinking about the futur and what it's hold for him.
While he was contemplating he heard a knock on the door 'sir it's Crowley I have an urgent message from the mining village in the mountain 🏔️ '.
Hearing this he said 'come in'.
The door opened Crowley come in and handed him a letter ✉️ after reading he frowned the letter was written by the mine manager stating they attackes from the goblins has increased but today an army of goblins was seen heading straight to the town more precisely his castle 🏰 while they didn't have an exacte number they numbers between three thousand to five thousand.
While the combat ability of the goblins is weak individually but they are deadly in large numbers specialy since they can breed fast a goblin go from a baby to adulthood in just a three month or less in rare cases so a tribe of a few thousand in a few month can become in the tens of thousands fast.
Trying to maintain a calm demeanor he asked Crowley to convene a meeting with all his subordinate as fast as possible to discuss what it the best way to deal with this threat.
Few hours later the five knight, alchemist,the five master blacksmith, chamberlain and Crowley all of them were present here to discuss the strategy to use against the goblin and ressources to do so.

After that it was Jean turn he said:' we are lucky that this invasion started after harvest time but if we don't react fast some village and trade caravans may get destroyed which will have a great impact on economy of the barrony as it may stop immigrants or trade caravans from coming as for what strategy we use I am with akanay expect we need to trim their numbers considerably before thinking of subjagting them and if possible a pitch battle is better for the town prospects and reputation of the barrony as for ressources we have now problems in provisions for the town or the army we can supply for a long time'.

He took a breath the continued:' from the latest intelligence gathered by Bruce and his rider the army of the goblins I numbered around five thousands and composed of three tribes two small ones made up of one thousand each and a big on leading them madding up the rest of the five thousands and from the record we have studied this kind of horde of goblins is usually led bye a high level 1 life form either a warrior or a shaman and sometimes both and under a doze low level 1 life form warriors'.
He stopped again to let the latest information sink in then said:' but usually the power they project is a peak middle level knight at best so my plan is simple use the legionnaires as anvil on a hill or slightly elevated terrain supported by musketeers and artillery to blast them from far away and up close use cannister shoot to finish them as for the archers will be used to guard the rear of any attacked.
The continued:' at same we will have to prone attack made one led by by me two knights,five squires and twenty riders to decapitate the leadership of the goblins and second one lead by a knight ,five squires and eighty riders as a flanking attacks to destroy the moral of the army what do you thin of this plan my lord?'.
While hearing this Damien was tapping on the table then after a while he stopped and said: we will do as you say commander in chief expect for one thing we will use all the cavalry in the flanking attacks to have a great a momentum as for the leadership I will take care of it'.
Hearing this he was puzzled of how the baron will after all even if he got some power from tha blood he is at best a low level 1 knight or wizard so it's must be he got some help from the main clan it's the only explanation.
Then Clark said :' we would as you say my lord'.
After that they all left to prepare for the army to march tomorrow to face the goblins in order to minimise the damage done to the barrony.
While Damien and Crowley were left alone in the study room the latter asked the former:my ask my lord why do you wish to do this dangerous task after all you are the lord?.
He looked at him and said:' it's s simple really first I need to test my powers against an intelligent enemy and a safe one so goblins fit this criteria perfectly second I wanna see if the leader of the goblins can be used after all anyone who reach high level1 form must be good at something thirdly i need to convince the knights that I am strong to deter in though of betrayal or rebillion at least in the short term finally I want to make the goblins my subject and to do that I have to beat them for them to understand it'.
Crowley smiled,bowed and just left .
While alone Damien started contemplating that before he start doing expriment 🧪 on different subjects like necromancy,shadow manipulation, his blood and finally the lotion of his power he need to have a stable territory after alle from what he read in novels this kind of experiment take years to complete and wizard just get immersed in it not caring about the world at all.
So another cultivate force, flourishing economy, a United territory and finally a fearsome reputation is a must of he want to keep his territory.
