Three week has passed since the battle against the goblins Damien has spent this past few honing his skills over his blood until it become a second nature for him to cast bloodline spells like blood bullet or blood arrow,as for the shadow element he created a new model combining magic hand and the shadow element he can use it to ambush others from any shadow in sight.
As for spells given to him by the shaman he didn't chose to build their models in his mental space instead he focused on those who are already compatible with the elements he already have a talent for like shadow tentacle to bind enemies in place or shadow shield for defence.
Then he opted for berserk in order to double his physical power to be used as last resort when he is cornered,soul shield as a mean to protect his soul for being possessed or attacked and finaly earth shields to use to defend against physical attacks.
While The others spells models were left to be studied at a later date either to use them as or after carefull study to merge it or modify an existing spell models as he didn't have any time to spare for them and the decisive battle is close.
As for the rest for his time he either spend it hunting spirit animal for their talent and to be used by his squeleton army he has now almost twenty level 1 squeleton like the bull or the high goblin as for those lower he has around a thousand of them to be used as away to distract or hold his enemy in a position for him to snipe or in worst case scenario to escape.
Then he looked at his new stats

He was in general satisfied with his stats except the one concerning the elemental compatibility as it was low for high firs circle mage and when he wanted to advance to level 2 it needs at least to be 95% in order not to hurt his future as a mage.
Thus he asked Crowley to commission the trade caravans of the Santini to get him some element crystals who are used to accelerate or increase the elemental compatibility but all they got him where three blood crystal,two earth crystals and one dark crystal 🔮 as they were very expensive and rare they are usually found in mines where they extracte spiritual stones or mana stones and mages need them for all kind of things like fuels for mage towers, experiment,open portals to other worlds or planes to trade with them or conquer for ressources or to be used to make high level artifact or weapons or Armor.
As for now he was getting ready to go to town plaza where a grand ceremony will be hold for the legionnaires who contributed to the victory over the goblins or in this past two weeks against bandits.
A half hour later a carriage lavishly decorated with the symbol of the baron on it has arrived the people who from every corner of the town came to see the spectacle where delighted to see such high figure being near them soon the door opened and a charming young man wearing an all black coat having magistic air around him everyone knew it was the baron the took a step back giving him way and at same time bowed to him some out of respect others over fear of offending him.
Soon Damien was on the plaza he was greeted by Jean and Clark he gave a moving speech about how soldier should their job delegently,their families depend on them to do their job in order to be safe and how their sacrifices will protect their camarades if arms and loved ones.
The people they were moved or precisely the planted one by Jean started applauding and the rest just followed .
After the soldiers they were called one by one and either Damien or Clark gave a medal 🏅 and other like Roy became squad leader.
After Damien said:' let the festivities begin'.
And a grand lunch was held in the honour of this soldiers.
While having lunch Damien asked Clark :' how our preparation for the punitive compaign againg the usurper going'.
Clark anwsered:'we are half way in the training of the new recruits by using their involvement int the operation against the bandits as support unit or reserve to accelerate the rate in which they integrate with the routine of the army but they are still green that's why we are thinking from next week onwards they will be the main force and support by the first battalion at least to get them pass their first blood'.
Damien smiled liking what he heard:' I hope that you will continue the good work as I have feeling next battle will be a difficult one '.
Hearing this Clark anwsered:'we Will be ready fo anything my lord nothing will stop us from killing that traitor '.
After the party continued with small talks here and their after that Damien took his carriage and went towards akanay laboratory to see his progress in making the smokeless gunpowder.
So some time later Damien found himself in front a two story building 🏫 waiting for him was an apprentice alchemist to show him inside where akanay was doing hi experiment 🧪 after getting inside and walking for a while the apprentice knocked on the door and said:' master akanay the baron is here'.
Then damien heard a voice:' please come in'.
Damien then said to the apprentice:' thank you here is something for your trouble'.
He gave a pouch 👝 full of silver coins .
The apprentice:'thank you my lord' he bowed and left.
While this some of money was nothing to Damien it was huge to an apprentice due to alchemy at the beginning is sinkhole for money and it's also helped his image as a generous lord.
He went inside it was typical of what you could find in a alchemist experiment 🧪 room full of tools and compounds.
Damien :' hi akanay how is the experiment going my master alchemist '.
Akanay with big smile said:' welcome my lord to my humble laboratory as for the smokeless gunpowder you will see for yourself '.
He Gestured to Damien to move with him away from a table were powder was put on a plate and a long fuse was coming from right were a steel like door was put with a small window in it to be able to see what's happening safely.
The akanay said to Damien:' would you do the honours my lord and ligh the fuse'.
Damien nodded with his head and with click of a hand he used mental power to turn it to fire element lighting the fuse.
The watched as fire 🔥 moved like a snake towers the gunpowder then boom 💥 and as we all expected akanay has did it again and made smokeless gunpowder he truly deserve his reputation as a first rate master alchemist.
Damien asked :' can we start producing it in grand quantities?'.
Akanay chook hi head:' it will take some time to perfect it the process and train some apprentice to supervise it's production but I can guarantee that by the time of the battle you will have enough for a cannon or two use'.
Damien answered:' that's good news to hear you are really a genius I will leave now in order to continue your work '.
Akanay:' thank you my lord for the praise and goodbye '.
Then Damien went out and took the carriage back to castle in order to get ready for tonight hunt as he found traces of another shadow lynx which will helps his shadow element talent.
