While Damien as refining the blood of the high goblin he consumed the military camp around was bustling with moving soldier and logistics personnel.
The soldiers were responsible for guarding the camp from in possible attack,others were resting,some where doing some light maintenance to their gear after the battle either cleaning the musket from the residue of firing or sword for the cumulated blood of their enemies or a small dent on their armor done by some attacks, others were recuperating in tents from some injuries received but they were all on threatening or incapacitating and finaly they were those who were on patrole duty.
As for the logistics personnel they were tasked with calculating how much ammunition is left especially for the artillery,the fighting capability of the army due to injuries or finally to give replacement to soldier for any gear war broken or became unsable and also to give some the slavaged gear ,some shovels and necessities for a camp to function to the goblins as per ordered for their superior.
As for what the goblins were doing first gurky was having a meeting with larve about what to do.
He started talking first:' exalted shaman larve what do you of our new overlord?'.
Larve liking the way gurky talked to him spoke :'in my humble opinion our only choice is to be loyal to our new overlord and make ourselves useful to him in order no to be discarded '.
Gurky then said' their is no question about our loyalty after that bloodline skill he used one us and turned us to vampire I can feel it in my blood that even thinking about betraying him will be Mets with total destruction it's not like I want to after all it's th way of the goblins to follow the most powerful and most cunning what trouble me is what he needs us for as from what can I see his army is pretty good'.
Larve with a heckle anwsered:' from the latest intelligence we got from the royal tribe he just become lord of this territory,all his followers are either from his main clan or native to this territory so their loyalty is not a hundred percent so he probably want three things from us first to use us a counterweight to those knight,two probably to be hidden dagger to be used against his enemies when he doesn't want to acte directly as our race is everywhere thirdly he probably want to us to do his dirty work for him if necessary as don't forget he is no longer human and he probably want us to turn others like him'.
Gurky touching his face like he is deep thinking what shaman said and he spoke:' what you said seems about right I can never rival your wisdom but what you think should we do first'.
Larve said: for me would to right every speel and potion I know and give to the lord as for you is simple gather our people unde your leadership enforce your authority so that none of them do anything stupid as to not anger the humans,build a good camp,increase our number and our best when we are asked for and if I am right will surely be rewarded '.
Gurky:' I would do as you said as those low life need always a tight leash in order not to do something stupid I will go now'.
The guru left the tent and went to mange the defeated goblins as for the shaman she started working on those spell models and all the knowledge he has to present to Damien.
Meanwhile in a tent similar to that of Damien but less decorated Clark was sitting with the other knights and discussing the battle,the merits and what's next.
Bruise was saying;' if I am right our next battle will be against Manheim so easy wins like this would be doubtful but at least we had a taste of those weapons could do'.
Marinid said:' to be more precise the next battle would against those pirates and vagabonds that are massing near the town then we fight Manheim as for those . weapons we need to increase the production special those cannons the can destroy an army like they are nothing '.
The Clark said:' so for now bruce I want you to concentrate on gathering intelligence over those brigands that are massing their numbers, equipment and how many knight or warrior or wizard they have as for you marinid I want to at least have three times the numbers of artillery and muskets a have know as you have said if they are use well we can annihilate an enemy without seeing us as for the rest I want to drill the new recruit as for the new battalion and supplements with veterans specially those that have gained some merit to be officers in order to effectively manage it dismissed '.
They saluted him and left.
While Clark was alone he was thinking about what kind of help has the main clan sent to the lord to aid him or is all a ruse and the baton always had this support around him after all he know Crowley used to be a powerful force under the father of the baron but due to an injury he chose to look after the baron as for he combat ability he probably was at peak level 1 life form but even that would not explain how fast he subjagted the goblins.
What kept Clark puzzled was that he subdued them but rather he did it by just by killing the leader and the others seemed mostly unharmed.
As for the baron he did it himself is just impossible from what he knew and changed that happened to the baron he is at best newly advanced medium level 1 so he doesn't that kind of suppression over other same level in order to make them kneel without a fight.
As for him he is following the clan orders to serve the baron as long as it doesn't contradict with his principles but he kept getting a bad feeling every time he meet the baron especially when he saw one night sneaking away toward the forest he wanted to follow him but the butler stopped him as for that felling it was the same when he hunted those evil or dark creatures.
Also he didn't like the idea of subjugating the goblins after all to him they no different than any vermin so being associated with hem is a deep humiliation another thing he has a deep hatred for this kind of creature he is a knight and his goal is to destroy any thing or creature that could endangere humans and goblin were on this list of must be eliminated as for why he didn't voice it in the meeting this knight kind of thinking is frowned upon by most people labeling those thinking this way as purist so he has to look for away later to annihilater those vermin's in order to restore his honour from being with in the same faction but that for later.
So after finishing the cleaning of the battlefield, trowing those corpses in mass graves under the order of the baron and giving the provision to those goblins.
They started their Triumph march back home to be treated as heroes.
Sometimes later as the army was entering the town they were greeted by a cheering crowd happy to see them and singing song of praise toward the baron,the knight and soldiers.
But most the praises were towards the handsome knights and soldiers as most people still had the same idea that their lord is a good of nothing so winning the battl has nothing to with them at best he knew who to chose the leader of his army but even so he deserved some praise for at least not fleeing and leading his army even if its just an name.
So as the moved through the cheering crowd they arrived at the castle where the rest of his followers were waiting for them to congratulate them then Clark excused himself to led the troops to the barracks and Damien told the others that they will have a meeting and a briefing about the battle and what's next as for now he just wanted to go rest.
