By evening, news had already fly left, right and center and so every single soul adult, children and even old people were running into our compound. Some were crying and others stood and were just talking sadly of cos! It was a very sad day and even the sun was gloomy, everywhere was tensed and you can feel the bad energy in the air.
Niri is such a sweet soul and even though he was very young, you can say he lived a purposeful life. Though always sick Niri was always trying to show his kindness in his own little way, he belonged to boys scout and he was very committed to it even on his sick bed Niri will beg you to drop him in church just so he will be able to attend the boys scout, little wonder all the members of the boys scout were In the compound already, one will say that's all what Niri did with his life but no! Niri was a member of a group of sickle cell patients where they meet every week to encourage one another. As little as Niri I have learnt a lot from him so I really don't know how to react to the news of his death, am I happy? Or sad? I really don't know because truthfully for the past two years this boy has known nothing but pain, he was always in pain that I feel him dying was for the best but on the other side its Niri; that's my only brother, my 'beautiful brother' like I fondly call him hmmmm I really don't know if I'll ever recover from the death of Niri.
Live has taken so much from us yes! You can say that and now it has come for the only bond that kept us together, I really hoped we recover from this! At this point my mother's skin was already looking pale with her clothes thorned and since the act from the hospital she hasn't said a word, women were seated all around her consoling her, some were of the opinion that she cry's again but some were saying it's okay for her not to cry, my dad on the other hand looked so angry and hasn't aid a word to my mom at least not that we know of, even though we don't know why he was that angry we all just assumed that anyone in his shoes was going to feel the same way Afterall so we just let him be.
My uncle was still around but from the look on his face you can tell that he is not happy with what was going on and definatly he was not going to let his sister and her children who are mourning to slip out especially knowing that they have nowhere else to go, he just lay low for now, Feng passed out from the news; she is one emotional person I know of but she has a way of shutting people out and acting I don't care about anything but deep down she is so scared and emotional and I know that the feel apart at some point like she did with all of us but the two of them were besties since they attend the same school, she would fight anyone that called him a Sickler so everyone called her "Niri keeper" and that name stocked with her for the longest until she started to refused people her calling her the name; everyone is going to deeply miss Niri, his smiles, he is very organized and so he helps keeps the house put together when ever he can because he is mostly sick.
Ohhhhh death' where is your sting, you are weak death! Is this all you can do; I thought you were strong why come for Niri? Weak NIRI so calm and peaceful yet you didn't spare him but its okay, we will survive this and we will be fine was I sure about that no am not but I had to say something, few of my friends from my school had heard already and were here trying to stay with me in these hard moments. That bandit who attacked our village that night thought they just attacked a village the probably have forgotten that something like that had happed but there is my family that never recovered from it and am not just talking for our own family because I know of at least five families that never recovered.
My mother and father had ignored each other for days but we all thought they were giving each other space and time to mourn their son separately, little did we know that what was coming was worst than what those bandit did to our family!
