"Why are we getting off?" Helena asked confused, this was not their stop and the next train stop would've bright them closer to their destination.
"Guild members usually check-in with the county's official so they know we were here in case we go missing." It was Rene that answered, her voice was surprisingly soft but extremely pleasant. "Oh! That makes sense." Helena nodded in understanding as she walked beside Elena.
"What's our plan? It's my first mission and nothings really being explained." Helena whispered embarrassed suddenly feeling shy again. "Oh, well, we're gonna get a carriage to bring us, well we'll probably need to get two, but we'll get a carriage to bring us to the county's office and we'll probably end up staying in town for the night and then tomorrow we'll head out back to the train station and don't be afraid to ask any questions. I'll be happy to answer." She explained.
Helena nodded with a small smile suddenly feeling small. "So what's the process? Is everybody gonna go with her or are we staying outside or what are we gonna do?" " It's probably best to get an inn near the train station so we're gonna have to look for an inn while she gets the carriages and hopefully she'll meet us at the Inn with the carriages." " Let me guess, Irina is gonna go for the carriages and we're gonna look for the hotel." Helena laughed naming the she in Elena's sentences.
Elena nodded as the group paused, "Ok guys this is where we part temporarily. I will contact you guys as soon as I get the carriage and you shall tell me the location of the Inn you chose. Now these are very expensive so please do not waste them and please stick together as we do not want to lose anyone or waste time running around searching for the other party. Please stay together. I shall be back shortly." Irina explained handing out the single use communication crystals to everyone.
Everything nodded as Irina walked away and Andre led the way. "I've been here before, I know where an Inn is." He grumbled. "Really!?" Elena asked surprised running up to walk next to him. Her words drowned out as Helena tried to control her breathing.
"Everything okay?" Ryan asked stepping next to her. "Yeah, I'm suddenly thinking it was a bad idea for me to come on my first mission with so much people." She whispered not really wanting any to hear and feel hurt, but it was honestly how she felt.
"Hey" Ryan said pausing and tilting up her head. "No need for all of that. I honestly thought the mission would just be the two of us but honestly, I only agreed for Irina to join us so that you'd feel more comfortable and then you agreed for Elena to join us so I thought it would be OK."
Helena gave him my mug, so then he forgetting all of her grievances. "You didn't think I'd be uncomfortable when you were sneaking into my bed." she asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Well- I mean." Ryan at least had the decency to look embarrassed, stumbling over his words. Helena laughed no longer feeling down, causing Ryan to smile. " Well as long as you're feeling better that's all that matters." they continued walking, quickly catching up to the others, causing Elena to look back.
" Are you guys ok?" she asked, just sensing their presence. "Yeah we're all right." Ryan answered smiling down at Helena. It was about a five minute walk to the Inn and the owner recognized Andre. "Andre mah boy it's been awhile." the old man greeted.
Andrea showed a rare smile going up to hug the man. "Dr. Ellis, how are you?" He smiled. Even Elena seem surprised by his reaction. "Now now, you know I am no longer a doctor, I'm just a little old inn keeper." The man laughed. Andre argue and ask if he had any vacancy.
"Sure do but we only have two rooms available." He replied looking at the group behind Andre. "That's completely fine. We can do one for boy one for girl. Right?" Elena asked looking around. "We won't be staying long anyways." She added.
Everyone not there and Callum gave a verbal yes. Everyone followed the old man into the building collecting the two room keys. Ryan took one and Elena got the other. "I am going to put my bags down and come back to catch up with the others." Andre whispered to Elena, but it was still loud enough for everyone to hear.
Elena looked at him somewhat lost, but nodded regardless. Andre led the way to the room being as he was the only one that has ever been here and after putting their bags down, everyone left Andre to catch up and the others to wait on Irina.
"Are you ok?" Helena asked looking at Elena's still somewhat dazed face. "Yeah I guess I'm just kinda used to being one of the only persons he shows emotion to. I mean I'm happy but it's kind of weird I guess."
"It kinda feels like seeing a cat that always drinks milk going to drink water first it's not impossible just weird."
"That was also a weird analogy." Helena laughed. "Huh, I guess you're right." Elena agreed. Ryan and Callum were already outside, but there was still no sign of Irina. Before Helena could ask if they should go looking for her, Irina just appeared again.
"I located a merchant that rents carriages, but he was unwilling to rent since he does not do overnight and it will take a while to arrive to the county's office so we have to go first thing in the morning." she explained looking somewhat tired. "There were only two rooms available and we took them one for meals one for females." Callum explained.
"What do you propose we do?" Irina asked heading inside. "Well, we haven't gotten a chance to look around as yet, so we could do that." Ryan suggested. Irina nodded agreeing along with the murmured yeses of everyone else. "We can also do a buddy system instead of having everyone walk around." he added.
Irina nodded once more and before Elena could even get a chance to speak, he grabbed Helena's arm, pulling her off in a random direction.
