Chapter 7 - Chapter 07 | He can cook

By the time the duo got back to the apartment it was already dark. While the guild is only a thirty minute walk from the apartment, they didn't take into consideration that the sun was just setting late and it was now 8:30. "Can we head back to your place instead? I suddenly feel drained." Helena sighed.

"Unless you don't want me there- sorry I didn't take into consideration your feelings."she squeaked with a bow. "Hey, hey, no need for that let's go." Ryan replied helping her up.

"I-"

Before she could finish her sentence Helena fainted and Ryan caught her. "Hey, Helena!" Before he could shake her again her eyes opened. "Is everything okay? You fainted." He asked concerned. "I'm fine, that used to happed quite a bit." In reality she only got up because Cercy bit her.

Once she was on her two feet Ryan stooped in front of her. "Get on." Before she could refuse he pulled her legs forward causing her to fall onto his back with a yelp.

"Hey" she pouted, but placed her hand around his neck nevertheless. "You're really warm." She muttered resting her head on his shoulder. He jolted slightly before responding, "I'm a fire mage, it's only natural I'm warm." He smiled teasingly.

He listened to her even breathing realizing she fell asleep.

Not wanting to gostle her awake Ryan took his time walking back. It didn't take long for him to get home and he reached into his pocket for the Kay's not wanting to melt off another door knob. As he entered the master bedroom he gently placed her onto his bed, covering her with a sheet before leaving. It was mid autumn and the weather was getter colder.

Ryan stepped out before stepping back into get a chance of clothes. He pulled out a T-shirt and boxer deciding on showing outside for the night.

....

Helena woke up to an arm wrapped tightly around her waist causing her to squeal. The sound was quiet but loud enough for Ryan's sensitive ears to pick up. "What's wrong?" He asked groggy clearly not aware of what the situation currently was. Helena didn't answer, she kept staring ahead face red.

Ryan peeked over noticing her read face and realized what the issue was before jumping back. "My bad, I showered outside yesterday completely forgetting ya were here." He explained sounding a tad embarrassed.

"You showered outside?" she asked now intrigued, she face showed slight confusion which Ryan found adorable. "Ya, there's a waterfall not too far back, yah wanna see?" He asked giving her a toothy grin.

She was supposed to decorate the apartment today, but who could pass up a waterfall? She nodded eagerly, immediately sitting up, her hair was a mess on account of her not putting it in a braid before bed. Her clothes were slightly askew from turning in bed but somehow it added to her adorable charm.

"We should probably eat first, it's a little walk but ya didn't eat last night. Whaddya want? Eggs? Bacon? Waffle?" He asked standing up revealing his shirtless frame. He had taken a shirt to wear yesterday but got too lazy to actually put it on. Helena nodded staring straight at Ryan's abs with her face tinting red. Ryan pretended not to notice with a smile on his face and left to the kitchen.

Helena still feeling embarrassed used magic to clean herself before exiting the bedroom. Exiting the bedroom she could clearly see around the house, before she hadn't taken notice but now she could see it clearly. There was a green couch that looked extremely comfortable, across from it was a tv and over to the other side of the room she could see Ryan still shirtless with a green apron tied around him. Between both rooms was another door which Helena assumed led to the second bedroom.

She went and sat on the couch before turning the tv on settling on a channel was showing a silly cartoon. Helena became so enamored by the cartoon that she didn't even realize Ryan was walking over until he was right in front her. "Breakfast for the princess." He teased handing her a plate before taking a seat next to her and placing his feet on the coffee table.

"Crap did ya want something to drink?" He asked getting up and setting his plate on the coffee table. "No, no it's fine." She waved trying to get him to sit back down but he ignored her, walking over to the fridge and pulling out a jug with blue liquid. He poured two cups before butting back the jug and coming back over.

"Blueberry." He smiled handing her a cup. "I could've conjured up some with magic." she pouted while taking a sip, her eyes winded in surprise. "This is delicious." She smiled taking another sip.

"I bet magic juice wouldn't have been as good." He winked taking a bite of his bacon.
