"Is this Callum's shirt?" Helena asked more to herself as she finally took a sip of the milky goodness that sat before her on the counter. The shirt looked like the one he had on earlier, same long sleeve navy shirt. It was surprisingly soft.
"Yup, Callum has a habit of subconsciously losing his shirt. Has something to do with the way he was trained when learning magic, probably to get used to the cold." Fel, who had reappeared explained. "Irina usually carries around extras for when he loses his on team missions."
Helena turned to look at Irina who was nodding in agreement, what that the same cheesecake or another slice?
Staring at Fel as she moved around the bar, she couldn't help but ask the next time she passed by "Have you ever thought of modelling?"
Fel paused at the question and chuckled, "I am a model. For Glindale, have you heard about them? They have branches in all states I believe." Helena nodded. Only someone living under a rock wouldn't know about them, which is quite ironic because she lived in a cave and in the forest up until a few weeks ago.
As time passed Helena made her way around the guild introducing herself here and there to various members and getting to know them in return. Ryan had wanted her to meet his sister and cousin but unfortunately they were out of town on a mission. She had also introduced Cercy to as many members as she could.
Helena had also learned that upstairs had the harder, higher ranked quests but Ryan's team was free to choose from there as they had already proven themselves by accidentally destroying towns. No casualties though, at least that's what they told her. She couldn't help but wonder how you accidentally destroy a town, and how everyone remained nonchalant about it.
A loud ding sounded throughout the guild which Helena assumed was from the clocktower they had passed. It was now midnight, she realized.
"It's now midnight and I have nowhere to stay." Helena stated and then squealed as the realization sat in.
"Don't w-"
"I know the perfect place." Ryan yelled, popping out of nowhere cutting off Irina and scaring the crap out Helena. Before she could even answer he grabbed her arm dashing out the guild, not even giving her the chance to say a proper goodbye as he pulled her behind him.
"Um, Ryan?" she asked as he kept dragging her behind him, even though he was pulling her, it was oddly gentle.
"Yeah?"
"Where are you taking us?" Helena asked, finally realizing she's letting a man she met today lead her to only God knows where. There's no way she was getting kidnapped right? Everyone saw who took her, there's no way they wouldn't help her.

But she only joined today, they'd definitely help Ryan cover his crimes. If push comes to shove she'd use her magic.
"You'll see soon."
Helena could just hear the smile on his face and just like that all her worries crumbled as he pulled her through the forest towards a faint light source. As they got closer Helena could make out that they were approaching a house. It was small in cozy way and looked like something her mentor would've build.
"This is my house. Spend the night with me."
Helena's head went blank as Ryan dragged her into the building. "Ryan, you do realize I'm a woman right? You can't just bring me to your house and ask me to spend the night." She explained red faced, hoping he got the idea of why what he said sounded wrong.
Ryan made a face at her before grabbing his chest dramatically, "Are you planning to do something indecent to me? I can't believe you. And here I thought you were a decent person" he tsked shaking his head, while giving her a disappointed look.
Helena's face turned red and she was practically steaming. "No, I'm not." she squealed. "Then you have nothing to worry about." he smirked, dragging her into the building and stopping at a red door.
"This is the guest room, have a good night." Cere who was in Ryan's shirt slithered out like it wanted to say something but Ryan held it mouth shut.
"Wait." she called grabbing his hand as he walked away. "Thanks." she blushed, closing the door before sliding down behind it.
"Come on Helena you got this."
Helena looked around the room. It was a bit messy but she shrugged just making sure there were no hidden cameras before using magic to change into a long white nightgown and hopping into the bed. Cercy had taken this time to curl up on Ryan's night stand, saying a quiet goodnight before dozing off. Helena placed a kiss on her head before curling into the sheets.
"So soft." she mumbled letting sleep overcome her.
Light shone in through a window hitting Helena right in the face. "How is it already morning?" she grumbled getting up. Helena made her way back to the main area of the house while trying to find the bathroom. "Good sleep I take it?" Ryan's voice drifted into the room clearly filled with humor as Helena yawned and rubbed her eyes.
"Best sleep I've gotten in years, the bed smells nice. Like cinnamon." Helana yawned again, too tired to even realize what she was saying. Silence filled the house until he called her over for breakfast.
Helena followed the sound of his voice into the kitchen where she saw two plates of food shared, eggs, sausages and toast. There were two smaller plates that she hadn't initially noticed, which Cercy and Cere were eating from. "Why didn't you wake me?" she asked poking Cercy's head.
Cercy shook her head before replying. "I did try and got tired. Then Ryan offered me food." Before she could argue back Ryan tapped the table with a smile.
"Dig in."
"Can you show me where the bathroom is? I'd like to freshen up first."
Ryan nodded bringing Helena back to the room as the bathroom was adjoined to the guest room, weird but she chose not to quest it as went to shower.
