"Welcome home Ryan."
Various shouts greeted Ryan in return, not fazed by the fact he had thrown open a door almost ten times his size. Once they noticed Helena by his side they immediately turned their questioning gazes to her, causing her to take a step behind Ryan.
"Who's the pretty blonde?"
"Is that your girlfriend?"
The last question caused her face to go bright red, that tied with the loud shouts and music, along with Ryan pulling her further into the chaos became too much for Helena's ears and brain causing her to become disorientated and lose her footing. Ryan of course caught her, it felt as if time slowed when he caught her and sped up after he helped to steady her.
"Settle down!" Irina yelled, causing the guild to go silent. The guild may or may not have a slight fear of her. She was in the top ten for a reason. "This is Helena and she has expressed interest in the guild. Is the Master in the office?"
"You can go right up Irina." Felicia, the lady behind the bar, replied with a bright smile while drying a glass. She had curly blond hair that was tied in a loose messy bun a lot her head, all of which was under a hair net. Due to the distance Helena was unable to see her eyes, but she was undoubtedly beautiful. Was being gorgeous a guild requirement?
Irina nodded, gently throwing Helena over her shoulders causing the blonde to squeal before heading up the stairs. "This was the quickest way through the crowd." Irina explained, but it really wasn't everyone parted for her as she walked by.
"Careful with the beautiful lady." Levi, a long, dark blue, haired man, also from behind the bar yelled. Helena immediately identified that he was the one Ryan was referring to earlier. Irina explained that he was the resident cook, which Helena could gather from his apron and hat, and women spokesperson. Some would call him a womanizer, but he was faithful to his grumpy, drunk, samurai Ayla.
Helena was dazed, were they always this rowdy? But somehow, it had her feeling warm, she hadn't been here more than fifteen minutes and she could tell they were a close knit family.
"Helena"
Irina was snapping her fingers in front of her. She didn't even realize that they entered an office, much less the fact that Irina had placed her on the couch. "Oh, sorry. Didn't think the guild was that rowdy, it feels like family though." Helena blushed embarrassed, causing laughter to echo throughout the room.
Helena, for the first time since entering the room, raised her head. Directly across from her was a muscular short haired man with a stubble, he was also really handsome, it seemed looking good was really a requirement. He looked like he could rip someone in half without really trying. The only thing preventing her from crying in fear was the fact the man was smiling.
"Why do you want to join the Haven Guild?" he asked, in contrast to his rough and manly look, his voice sounded tired. He sounded like he was lacking a week's worth of sleep, the bags under his eyes definitely added to the look.
"This might sound-" Helena was cut off by Irina's glare. She straightened her posture and gathered her thought.
"I mean, someone who I once knew always spoke about this guild and said she has family here." she explained avoiding Irina's scolding eyes. Helena closed her eyes waiting for the rejection, not even she thinks she'd buy that, she was just waiting for the guild master to start questioning her and her background, asking who this family was.
"Good enough for me, come and get your mark stamped." He replied, beckoning her over.
Helena couldn't help but look at him in bewilderment but did what she was told regardless. If he decided to let her in because he was in a good mood she would not block her own blessing.
"Where do you want it?" He asked as he opened a drawer in his desk and pulled out a magic stamp, it was her first time seeing one in person but always saw them in the books her mentor left her.
"The back of my shoulder please." Helena turned around, dragging down the neckline of her blouse so he could stamp it in the correct area.
"Color?"
"Orange"
The stamp felt cold against Helena's skin and the guild master couldn't help but laugh. "I could've stamped it through your clothes, it's magic." he laughed. Helena turned red, embarrassed and she gave off an embarrassed laugh.
"I also have a tiny partner, is there a condition for her?" Helena asked as Cercy slid down to her wrist, revealing herself. The guild master stared at the snake for a while before his face broke out in a smile. "Just make sure she doesn't bite."
"My name is Syrius Silver, you can call me Master Silver, Master, Silver and Inso, I don't really care."
Helena gave him a confused look on the last name but nodded regardless.
"Now, let's go announce our new member." Silver smiled walking behind them as they exited his office. He motioned for Helena to follow him as he made his way over to the small balcony that overlooked the guildhall before yelling.
"Let's welcome our new member Helena in a Haven-ly fashion, with beer and music."
The guild roared in excitement as Irina brought Helena down to the first floor and over to the bar.
"What can I get yah?" Felicia asked with a friendly smile, up close, Helena could see that her eyes were an extremely light grey shade. She quickly scanned the bar and noticed another bartender was assisting the other guildmates. She also noticed the mountain of liquor on either side of the door that led into the back.
"Do you have any vanilla-cinnamon milkshakes?" She wouldn't be surprised if they didn't, it was a bar after all. And her own personal mix, she wasn't sure if it was an actual drink.
"Yup, we serve every drink you can think of." Felicia smiled heading around back to prepare the drink. "Extra cinnamon!" Helena yelled as she disappeared behind the door.
Helena quickly covered her mouth after realizing she yelled out.
"So how do you like it here so far?" Irina asked, sliding onto the seat next to her eating a slice of what looked like cheesecake. Helena looked at her confused, where did she even get that? But her features did look softer compared to earlier today.
"So far so good. I can certainly say the guild is lively." she laughed, wrapping her loose side braid into a bun. Irina nodded, taking another bite just as Felicia returned.
"Vanilla-cinnamon, extra cinnamon, here you go. My name is Felicia by the way, I don't think I introduced myself, you can just call me Fel for short." She introduced placing the creamy drink onto the counter in front Helena. It was in a retro milkshake glass with whipped cream on top, sprinkled with cinnamon.
"Thank you Fel." Fel winked in response and walked off to serve another member.
Before Helena could take a sip of her milky desert, a shirt hit her on the side of the face and Levi's voice could somehow be heard over the chaos of the already loud guild.
"You hit the lady you exhibitionist."
"It was an accident."
