Staring at the expanded version of the System Shop that was in front of him, Julian was spoiled for choice as his jaw dropped in shock.
'Wow!'
He wanted all 5 goods that were for sale in the System Shop!
When he unlocked the System Shop after getting to Level 10, Julian didn't really understand its significance till now.
'Damn! This is like a personal market that I can carry everywhere with me!'
He truly wanted all 5 goods that were for sale but unfortunately, right now he only had 207 DP.
'F*ck, why didn't I accept those minor System missions then?'
He suddenly regretted not having sex with Lilith and Pandora in the bathroom. Though it was not much, the System still promised a few more DP and EXP if he had sex with both ladies in the bathroom.
Julian didn't regret too much though, that was already in the past. Next time, he would plan better around the System Shop.
The 2 things that attracted his attention immediately were the Lesser Vitality Elixir and the Goblin Cleaver Shortblade.
This was because both were things that he needed right now.
The Shortblade seemed like it was specially made for him for his Goblin Nest raid. As for the elixir, Julian simply didn't have enough adjectives to describe how important a life-preservation tool was.
Goblins were clearly a minor race in Gomorra, so minor that they weren't even listed among the 12 major races of this world but this did not make Julian to underestimate them.
As a bouncer, life taught him long ago not to judge a book by its cover and neither by its reputation.
Life taught him to judge mostly from personal experience.
He knew how fickle human life was. And in this world of Demons and Dragons, Julian had no doubt that even Demon's lives were fickle here too.
He would embrace anything to increase his chances of surviving.
Apart from those 2 though, he also liked the Ironbound Ring for obvious reasons, the Mirage Lantern too.
Julian had a hunch that the lantern was related to the Illusionist Class.
But of the 5 goods, the one that shocked him most and left the greatest impact on him was the Skill Tome.
He literally had to do a double take when he first saw it. 'There are skill tomes in this world?'
Julian was shocked.
From everything that he already learned about the power system of this world, every Class and Race had a fixed number of skills that they unlock so it did not make sense for there to be skill tomes.
The existence of skill tomes can literally break the power system.
Afterall, it was the unique talent of Mages who were scholars to create self-created skills that made them so feared.
Julian was perplexed but he didn't lack people to ask and since he was already inside the library, he quickly sought Rune's help and he found the answer to what he wanted.
According to Rune, there are skill tomes but in the history of Gomorra, Awakened have only ever discovered 8 different skill tomes.
Skill tomes are extremely rare.
Julian's eyes widened. 'Their existence alone is already crazy enough, it's fair that they are extremely rare but the System just offered me one so casually?'
'Damn!' Julian's eyes gleamed with excitement.
He already noticed subtle differences between skills gotten from the Skill Tome and other skills.
Of all the skills that Julian already unlocked as a Level 10 D Rank Mage, they all had limitations but none of them had a cooldown.
To him, a cooldown didn't matter much.
He quickly narrowed his choices to between the Skill Tome, the Lesser Vitality Elixir, and the Shortblade.
Then Julian grimaced. 'I don't have enough DP, f*ck!'
On one hand, the Skill Tome was an extremely rare opportunity that he did not want to let pass him by. On another hand, due to his current weak power, he needed the elixir as a life-preservation card.
And on the other hand, though he already unlocked a few skills after getting to Level 10, Julian still didn't want to enter a goblin nest without a weapon.
This put him in a dilemma.
Julian racked his brain for more than a minute, then his eyes narrowed as he thought. 'How long does goods stay available in the System Shop before changing?'
He quickly looked at the System Shop panel again and that was when he noticed a timer at the top of the thread.
[11 hours: 23 minutes]
He blinked. 'I still have 11 hours!'
He quickly cusped his hands as he did the calculation in his head.
If he decided to leave the Skill Tome for now, his 207 DP would be enough for him to purchase both the Goblin Cleaver Shortblade for 160 DP and the Lesser Vitality Elixir for 45 DP and still have 2 DP remaining.
And if he managed to complete the 'Goblin Nest' mission, Julian grinned. 'I'll get a whopping +2000 DP!'
That was all he needed to make his decision.
DING!

Seeing these series of notifications, Julian grinned as he finally stood up.
Seeing him stand up, Pandora immediately discarded the novel that she was reading as she also stood up and stretched, making her purple gown cling tightly to her body as she revealed a generous view of her stunning body shape.
"Are we leaving?" She asked curiously.
Julian nodded and bid farewell to Rune before finally leaving the library.
On getting back to his bedroom, Julian finally told Pandora about his plan. In his words, he wanted to go out and exercise to slowly regain his strength since he was feeling rusty after 10 years of inactivity.
Hearing that, Pandora believed him and immediately volunteered to follow him but Julian rejected her proposal.
With a Level 91 Succubus following him, he was not sure if that could be called training anymore.
Pandora could simply wipe out all the Goblins with a sneeze and that was not what Julian wanted, he actually wanted to train and get used to his powers.
He needed to if he was going to fulfill his ambition of conquering this world.
After managing to convince Pandora to stay back that he would be fine, Julian finally accessed the System Mission again and directly accepted the mission.
The Debauchery System lit up with new notifications.
DING!

[You have accepted the System Mission: Goblin Nest]
[Initiating transportation in 10 seconds… please wait…]

Julian waited 10 seconds as Pandora curiously stared at him, then a rift suddenly opened right in front of him in his room.
BZZZT!
Julian was taken aback as he stared at the rift that was shimmering with bluish white qi, but he quickly managed to regain his composure.
He looked at the curious Pandora and winked at her. "I'll be back before you know it".
Then he stepped into the rift and disappeared.
