Chapter 39 - Chapter 39: Train the God

To prevent the King of the Nine Realms from launching a surprise attack—

Android 16 kept his gaze locked firmly on Odin.

The moment Odin showed the slightest sign of movement,

his iron fist would smash the god's skull without hesitation.

Android 18 positioned herself in front of Renjie, shielding him protectively, her eyes filled with warning as she stared at Odin.

If he dared take even a single step forward—

he had better be prepared to be beaten down.

Renjie's physical body was, ultimately, far too fragile.

Even with the protection of the nano-armor,

even with the enhancement of the Tyrant Virus,

standing before a Skyfather-level existence—

he was still not strong enough.

He needed even more powerful armor.

"Truly unbelievable…"

"To think that the civilization of this planet has advanced to such a degree."

"And yet… I don't even know your name."

Odin spoke thoughtfully from the side.

These android warriors before him were vastly superior to his own Destroyer Armor.

"Renjie."

Renjie answered simply, revealing nothing more.

When dealing with an old monster like Odin—

the more you spoke, the more mistakes you made.

The dark-gray tone of Renjie's armor instinctively instilled a sense of oppression and dread.

Even Odin, a Skyfather, could not remain entirely unaffected.

Especially after witnessing Android 16 and Android 18—

two beings who should not exist.

From this moment on, in this universe—

aside from the highest gods themselves,

no one would dare look down on this seemingly weak human from Earth.

Seeing Renjie remain silent while guarding against him at every turn,

Odin finally stopped walking and decided to speak plainly.

"Young brother, you didn't invite me all the way down from Asgard just to see my face, did you?"

"If you don't explain yourself soon, I'll be taking Mjolnir and leaving."

Odin laughed lightly as he spoke.

He understood perfectly—Renjie's entire plan was to draw him out.

A simple provocation, yet undeniably effective.

For the King of the Nine Realms to call Renjie young brother—

was proof enough that Odin now regarded him as an equal.

"I want Uru metal."

Renjie did not beat around the bush.

Odin's attitude alone was proof—

the power Renjie now commanded already posed a grave threat to Asgard.

Renjie's demand caused Odin to burst into laughter.

"For the peace of the Nine Realms, Uru metal must never leave Asgard."

"I'm sorry, young brother—but this is the one request I cannot grant."

Odin shrugged, rejecting him with a lighthearted tone.

Absolutely not.

If Renjie could create androids using Earth's metals alone—

then with Uru metal, who knew what kind of monsters he might produce?

Impossible.

Not even worth considering.

For the balance of the Nine Realms—

this request had to be refused.

But once Renjie had made a decision,

did he ever abandon it simply because someone said no?

Renjie stopped walking and turned to face Odin.

"If you won't give it to me,"

"then I'll take it myself."

He conveyed his will plainly—through words alone.

"Heh… so what you're saying is—you plan to steal it?"

Odin was amused into anger.

The majestic pressure of a god-king surged forth with his voice.

In all these years, no one had ever dared speak to him like this.

Even the Frost Giants had never been so presumptuous.

And now—

a mere human?

"Just you?"

"A mere human?"

Odin abandoned all pretense of kindness.

He sensed Renjie's ambition—

a scheme far greater than anyone realized.

"Just me."

Renjie replied calmly.

No matter what, he would obtain Uru metal.

Facing the overwhelming pressure of the God-King,

Renjie did not waver.

He was an atheist.

He believed firmly that human will could overcome destiny.

Odin was nothing more than an alien.

If wounded—

he would bleed all the same.

The legendary god-king and the mortal from Earth locked eyes.

An invisible storm of willpower swept across the field.

The expression in Odin's eye slowly shifted—

from anger,

to surprise,

to admiration,

and finally—to awe.

This young human possessed an extraordinarily powerful soul.

His will was harder than steel, fiercer than flame.

Even divine pressure could not shake it.

There was no doubt—

he was a true powerhouse.

Odin smiled bitterly.

Under Android 16's vigilant gaze, he raised his hand and summoned Mjolnir.

But as the hammer flew toward him—

it was seized midair by another hand.

A dark-gray armored gauntlet.

It was Renjie.

At the very moment Odin acknowledged him—

Renjie had become worthy of wielding Mjolnir.

"Renjie… if you wish to obtain Uru metal,"

"then listen to my request."

"My unworthy son is currently on Earth, searching for the hammer he has lost."

"Find him. Train him as his mentor. Help him become the next king."

"I will bestow upon you the title of Sage of Asgard."

"I will teach you the Runic Arts and Dwarven Forging Techniques."

"Not merely the rights to mine Uru metal."

"You will gain the respect and love of the people of Asgard."

Odin bypassed Android 16's raised but uncertain hand, placing his palm against Renjie's armor as he spoke.

"Odin… have you truly grown senile?"

"You're handing your son over to me to train—are you really at ease with that?"

Renjie used Mjolnir to gently pry Odin's hand away, sneering as he questioned him.

Yet Odin only smiled.

That All-Father's Eye of his seemed to glimpse another future entirely.

"I believe that all things in this world are bound by fate…"

"You. Thor. Loki. Hela…"

"The fate of the Nine Realms will be rewritten because of you."

"Under your leadership, the Nine Realms will rise toward a new era of glory."
