Chapter 41 - Chapter 41: God of Thunder

Batman's Talent?

Renjie hadn't expected that completing the Iron Man 2 storyline would reward him with such an astonishing gift.

An overwhelming torrent of knowledge surged into his mind.

Investigation techniques.

Combat theory.

Criminology.

Biology.

Physics.

Driving experience.

And countless other disciplines…

Along with them came complete blueprints for Batman's equipment.

All of it—every fragment of knowledge—flooded into Renjie's consciousness.

With his current technological foundation, combined with the vast financial power of Hammer Industries, he could fully reproduce these pieces of equipment.

For example—

the Hellbat Armor.

As the strongest human in DC Comics—and practically DC's "biological father"—

Batman had mastered countless combat styles, fully integrating them and distilling them into a system uniquely his own.

Now, that combat experience had been inherited by Renjie as well.

With the System's assistance

Renjie went from knowing nothing about hand-to-hand combat

to becoming a true martial arts master—

in less than one minute.

That alone was deeply satisfying.

Beyond Batman's Talent, what pleased Renjie even more was this—

after defeating Nick Fury, the System had gifted him an entire underground base—the Hive.

Under the System's default configuration,

the Hive Underground Base was located directly beneath New York City, approximately 400 meters underground.

Inside was a complete ecological circulation system, capable of supporting over 600 personnel working simultaneously.

Every advanced instrument imaginable was present—

there was even a fully formed research team.

Secret passageways extended outward like tree roots, spreading throughout every corner of the city.

The chief executive of the research division was named:

Alex Wesker.

She was 100% loyal to Renjie.

Unlike Hammer—that slick-tongued arms dealer

she was an ambitious, highly capable intellectual.

The System had fabricated perfect identities for everyone involved, seamlessly filling in all historical gaps.

In the memories of those "in the know,"

that mysterious underground base had existed for decades.

Not only that—

Renjie's contact list now included Alex Wesker's direct communication channel.

This woman specialized in biochemical viruses.

Tyrants.

Zombies.

Parasites.

Lickers.

Hunters.

Nemesis.

Nearly every generation of bio-weapons now lay dormant within the Hive.

This gift was far too valuable.

Beneath a city inhabited by tens of millions—

a biological nuclear bomb, powerful enough to destroy the world, lay hidden in silence.

Without question—

this was yet another pair of ultimate trump cards in Renjie's hand.

Lex Luthor.

Superman's archenemy, a human genius of extraordinary intellect.

At certain moments, his schemes were no less formidable than Batman's.

Beyond that

he was also a technological prodigy.

Many of his inventions were fully capable of standing shoulder to shoulder with Iron Man's creations.

This haul could only be described as—

insanely profitable.

An absolute win.

Yet the thing that puzzled Renjie the most—

was the passive talent called Elemental Affinity.

[Elemental Affinity: Increases your affinity with the elements of this world.]

What it actually did, Renjie didn't yet understand.

But his instincts told him—

this was no ordinary reward.

It was likely a hidden ability—

one that might trigger an entirely new storyline in the future.

Renjie raised his hand and dismissed the System interface.

The wealth and foundation he now possessed

were bringing him closer and closer to realizing his ultimate plan.

Once he acquired the Dwarven Forging Techniques

and finished dealing with the Thor incident—

his next step would be to use Uru metal

to create even more powerful armor.

Suddenly

another virtual screen appeared.

[Notification: Next event "Thor" will officially begin in two days!]

Two days.

That meant—

in just two days,

Marvel's God of Thunder would arrive.

A look of anticipation appeared on Renjie's face.

Thor, stripped of his divine power—

how many rounds would he last under Renjie's guidance?

...

Asgard.

After learning that Odin had left,

Loki went to the royal vault in search of answers.

Trembling, he cradled the Frost Giant clan's supreme treasure—

the Casket of Ancient Winters.

The blood of the Frost Giants within him was awakening, granting him tremendous power.

Yet this surge of strength brought Loki no joy—

only disbelief,

and despair.

"Put it down!"

An aged shout rang out from the doorway.

Loki was forcibly pulled back from his daze.

He stood there, mouth agape, staring at the figure behind him.

"Am I… cursed?"

Loki slowly returned the Casket of Ancient Winters to its place, his voice shaking as he asked his father.

He was lost.

Helpless.

Anxious—

unable to face the truth unfolding before his eyes.

"No…"

Odin answered softly.

He gazed down at his son in sorrow, realizing he had come too late.

Had he not lingered so long on Earth—

perhaps this moment would never have occurred.

"Then… what am I?"

Loki—

known throughout the Nine Realms as the God of Mischief—

was not like his muscle-brained brother.

He was sensitive.

Fragile.

And now, he had realized the truth.

He was not Odin's biological son.

No divine blood flowed through his veins.

He was the forsaken child of the Frost Giants—

his blood filthy, reeking of sin that could never be washed away.

Odin slowly descended the steps.

He looked at Loki with kindness and spoke sincerely.

"You…"

"Are my son."
