That very night.
A torrential rain poured from the sky, and the base's communication systems suffered noticeable interference.
A powerfully built man barged into the S.H.I.E.L.D. temporary base
In the most brutish, brainless way imaginable.
His attacks were wide and unrestrained, overflowing with a savage, violent beauty.
These were agents trained through systematic enhancement, their physical abilities far beyond ordinary humans
Yet before this man, they were utterly helpless.
The S.H.I.E.L.D. agents simply couldn't withstand his assault and were knocked to the ground one after another.
Clint, clad in his nano combat suit, quickly raised his weapon.
"Director Ren, should I take him down?"
Through the comms channel, Clint asked the supreme commander whether he should eliminate the intruder.
After receiving that gift, his attitude toward Renjie had changed dramatically.
"Let him in…"
"That big idiot happens to be the legendary Thor, the God of Thunder."
A smile of anticipation curled at the corner of Renjie's lips. He rose from his seat and headed toward the location where Mjölnir was secured.
But Thor arrived there faster than he did.
An old companion he hadn't seen in a long time—
Was resting quietly on the ground, waiting for its god to return.
Thor let out an excited, foolish laugh.
As long as he could lift Mjölnir, his divine power would return!
However—
What happened next left him utterly stunned.
The Hammer of Thor was firmly fixed to the ground.
No matter how hard he strained, it wouldn't budge in the slightest.
"AAAH!!!"
Thor roared in rage, collapsing to his knees as he cried out in anguish.
Without Mjölnir, he was no longer the God of Thunder.
He was merely a strong Asgardian—
Alone in a strange world, destined to be helpless and abandoned.
Perhaps Thor's tears moved the hammer itself.
Mjölnir suddenly began to tremble, releasing a sharp, piercing hum.
Thor stopped crying.
He stared at the hammer with blazing excitement.
Once more, he reached out, preparing to lift Mjölnir—
But before his fingers could even touch it, the hammer shot up from the ground!
It flew straight into the grip of a wheat-toned hand, steady and firm.
Raindrops continued to drip from a black umbrella.
Android 18 held the umbrella over Renjie as the two stepped into the scene, gazing down at the kneeling God of Thunder.
Thor's eyes widened in disbelief.
He couldn't understand how a frail Earth human could possibly lift Mjölnir!
"Put it down! That's my hammer!"
"It's not something you mortals are qualified to touch!"
Thor roared at Renjie.
As a god, he felt his dignity had been trampled into the mud.
He slowly rose to his feet, his body covered in filth, then charged straight at Renjie!
He would teach this insolent Earthling a lesson—
Show him what the majesty of a god truly meant!
Unfortunately for him—
What answered Thor was Mjölnir, hurled directly by Renjie!
The Hammer of Thunder tore through the rain, flying straight toward Thor's chest!
Thor's mouth fell open in terror as he crossed his arms before his chest, attempting to withstand the blow with his body!
But his power had already been greatly diminished—
Far weaker than it once was.
Thor's body was blasted backward, smashing through plastic barriers and skidding over ten meters across the rain-soaked ground before coming to a halt.
Blood spilled from his mouth as he coughed weakly.
His chest and arms had suffered devastating injuries.
Each rain-mixed breath that entered his lungs sent waves of pain twisting his expression.
His arms trembled so badly he couldn't even clench his fists.
Coulson, who had just arrived at the scene, stared in shock at what he saw—but his reaction was swift.
"Show's over. Ground units, move in."
Through his communicator, Coulson ordered the ground team forward to restrain this so-called God of Thunder.
In the final moments before losing consciousness—
Thor saw that the mysterious young man had calmly returned Mjölnir to its place.
Clearly
He wasn't the only big catch tonight.
When everything was over,
Renjie was about to return to his private laboratory when Coulson hurried over.
"Director, we have to relocate."
"That man took down our people effortlessly."
"Can you imagine that?"
"Elite agents who passed the strictest tests in the world—selected from countless candidates—"
"In front of him, they were like frail old men. Completely defenseless."
"I'm certain he's a mercenary sent by some organization!"
Drawing on years of experience, Coulson offered his strategic advice.
They should return to S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters, where the research conditions were superior—
Not waste time in this remote southwestern region.
"That big guy is the God of Thunder."
"Not long ago, I even met his father."
"He was cast down to Earth—and I'm his teacher."
Renjie replied with a smile.
To Coulson, however, it sounded more like a joke.
Nothing could be more absurd than that.
"Director—"
Coulson tried to continue persuading him, but Renjie raised a hand, stopping him.
"Have someone clean up Mr. 'God of Thunder' and put him in something decent."
"Tonight, there's another big fish on the way."
Recalling the movie's plot, the smile on Renjie's lips grew ever deeper.
"There's more?"
Coulson asked in surprise.
One fake God of Thunder had already caused chaos—
And there was another one coming tonight?
Renjie suddenly stopped, clasping his hands behind his back.
Those peach-blossom eyes narrowed slightly, revealing a profound, knowing smile.
"Yes…"
"The other big fish is—"
"The God of Mischief, Loki."
