Chapter 3 - chapter 3: " Let's put our best acting skills then."

I was on my way to the office after finishing breakfast. Even during breakfast, Tyler tried to make small talk, but I cut it off. I wasn't in the mood to talk. I handed over the papers regarding the meetings.

Suddenly, a maid came up to me When I was on my way to go out..

"Mr. Theerakul, Mr. Lin is waiting for you at the door."

I never agreed with Tyler that I would go with him, so why was he even waiting for me?

"Okay. I'll be there."

When I got there, I saw Tyler wearing a black shirt. He waved at me when he saw me, like we were still kids. I had to admit—the black shirt really suited him. But I didn't show any emotion and said coldly,

"I thought the Lins were very rich. So aren't we going in separate cars?"

Lin smiled and said, "But now we are husbands, so we should go together. What will others say?"

He wrapped his arm around mine.

"So, husband, let's go together."

"W-wait—" Before I could even say anything, I was dragged by Tyler.

I sat in the car with him as it began to move. Memories flooded my mind. I remembered the first time I saw him in kindergarten. I had thought he was an angel. In my defence he completely looked like one.

(Payu, 4 years old)

Payu: "Mom, look! That's an angel."

Tyler, holding his mother's hand, looked at me.

I let go of my mom's hand and went over to him.

"Wow, you look like an angel. Your blue eyes look just like the sky."

Mrs. Theerakul (Payu's mom): "Payu, looks like you've made a friend. Say hi."

Payu: "Oops, I forgot to tell you who I am. Hi, I'm Payu! Haha."

Suddenly, a bump jolted me back to reality. I realized Tyler's hand was on my chest.

Tyler said, "Sorry, there was a bump in the road, and you have a habit of not wearing a seat belt, so I caught you."

I pushed his hand away.

"It's okay. I'm fine."

I looked out the window.

When I was twelve, our family business started going downhill. At eighteen, after my parents died, I had to sell the business and start a new one. It didn't make much money, but I still had my pride. Meanwhile, the Lin business grew bigger and bigger.

I completely despised Tyler. Watching him on TV, winning award after award while my business struggled, filled me with nothing but hatred.

I looked out the car window again. We had arrived at the Lin Company. I stepped out of the car. The building was even bigger than before. According to our marriage agreement, he would give my company a 40 million deal with his company, and after marrying him, I would also receive 5% share of his company.

Tyler stepped in front of me.

"Darling." He held out his hand for me.

On my side, the marriage agreement was purely money-related. On his side, there was only one rule—we had to act like a real couple in front of others, especially in front of his step-uncle.

I took his hand.

"Let's go into the company, darling."

"My uncle will be there too."

I have a feeling today is going to be a wild meeting.

" Let's put our best acting skills then."
