I'm watching the night view of the city while sitting on a chair in an empty restaurant. Even though getting even one seat booked here is tough, Tyler booked the entire restaurant just to celebrate today's win.
.
.
A little while ago, after the meeting finished, Tyler proposed a idea of going to a restaurant to have a nice dinner and to celebrate today's victory. Even though I didn't want to go, he still insisted.
"Fine. But I won't stay for too long." I said.
And now here I am, looking through the glass walls of a five-star restaurant. Even though the atmosphere is nice, it still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Even though Tyler is being nice to me and pretending everything is fine, I still can't forget what he did to me.
I held a glass of wine and started drinking it. No, one drink wasn't satisfying. I needed more. I even felt disgusted with myself for sitting here and dining with Tyler. I grabbed the wine bottle and started drinking straight from it.
Tyler looked at me with worried eyes.
"Payu, you're drinking a lot. You should stop now."
I felt angry after hearing those words.
I screamed at him, "Shut up. You have no right to talk to me." I think I'm getting drunk.
My eyes started to blur with tears. I couldn't even tell what expression Tyler was making anymore. Fuck Tyler. I hate Tyler. I couldn't stop my tears anymore. In my life, I always considered Tyler, the closest person to me after my parents. But even he backstabbed me. I will never, ever forgive him.
Tyler then hugged me.
"Payu, why are you crying? Are you feeling bad? Are you in pain anywhere? Please don't cry."
I tried to break free from his hug, but he held me tightly. My silent tears broke into sobs, and I started crying like a toddler. I didn't even cry at my parents' funeral or when I had to sell my parents' company. So why am I crying right now?
"I hate you, Tyler. I really hate you."
Tyler held me tighter. "I'm sorry. I don't know what I did wrong, but I'm sorry. Just don't cry."
After that, my head started to feel heavy, and I fell asleep.
I woke up with a headache.
Wait—where am I?
I looked around and realized I was in my room at the Lin mansion. I couldn't remember what happened last night. My head hurts. I tried to recall last night's events, but everything was blurry.
I heard someone approaching. I looked over and saw a maid. Seeing me awake, she hurried over.
"Mr. Theerakul, are you okay? I brought you hangover soup. Please drink it. And if you feel any discomfort, notify me. I'm right here."
She handed me the soup.
"Wait—how did I get here last night? I don't remember anything," I asked.
She replied, "Master Lin carried you to your room."
"Wait, what? He carried me?" I asked, shocked.
"Yes. He carried you in his arms and laid you on the bed. He stayed by your side and took care of you. He left early this morning."
I was shocked to hear that. Even if I passed out from drinking, he could've just ordered someone else to carry me. Why would he do it himself? Whatever. I don't even know what goes on inside his head.
I took the soup from the maid and drank it. Ugh, it tastes so bitter. Hopefully, it helps with my headache.
Today is an important day. I have to talk to Tyler about our company's 40 million deal. I should get ready first.
