Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 Stories from the Past

Nadia was a little surprised to see Kayrav's attitude just now. She didn't expect to see a Kayrav who was so different from the Kay she used to know.

"You're out of line, Kay! I want to go to my room to see Razel."

"Nad." Once again, Kay's hand held Nadia's hand as she was about to walk away.

"Let go, Kay!"

"Come home with me tomorrow. Find an excuse to your husband so you don't continue your honeymoon here." Kayrav stared at her as if begging the woman in front of him.

"Don't be crazy, Kay! I won't do what you want." Nadia pulled her hand away from Kayrav.

"Then I will declare war on Razel to take you from him," Kay said firmly, and managed to stop Nadia in her tracks.

Nadia turned her head, seemingly unable to believe what Kayrav had said.

"I'm not an object you can fight over, and don't do that because you already know who will win. Razel is my husband, and he already has me. Don't become a man who will be hated by everyone for taking me from my husband. I also cannot be with you, Kay. I cannot."

"I don't care what people think of me. I will make you mine, Nad."

Nadia looked frightened by Kayrav's words this time. Nadia walked away because she wanted to see her husband.

"I didn't expect you to be the Kayrav who used to be dirty and poor. Now you've become a successful person and you even organized this reunion," Razel praised after shaking Kayrav's hand.

"I also didn't expect you to marry Nadia—our classmate." His eagle eyes looked blankly at the woman who was currently standing next to Razel.

"No one here expected me to get the popular girl from our school, and I'm very proud to have her." Razel gave Nadia, his wife, a soft kiss on the hand.

Kayrav's gaze turned cold as he looked at the woman he used to love, and still loved even now.

"Can you tell me how you got married to Nadia?" Kayrav asked seriously.

"Hahaha! That's a secret, Kay." Razel laughed proudly as he kissed Nadia's hand again, and she just smiled slightly at her husband.

The school reunion brought Nadia back together with a man from her past. The man she had once loved secretly from her parents, and when Nadia's parents found out that Nadia had a relationship with Kayrav—an orphaned and poor teenager—Nadia had to stay away from Kayrav because of the huge difference in their social status, like heaven and earth between the two of them.

"Kay, what are you doing?" Nadia asked.

Kayrav pinned Nadia against the wall, where Nadia was alone in the bathroom during the reunion.

"Do you love Razel, Nadia?" Kayrav asked firmly, his eyes staring intently at her.

"Why are you asking that?" Nadia stared back at Kayrav sharply.

"Just answer me."

Nadia remained silent, staring at the man in front of her. "You don't love him, do you? Then why did you marry him?" Kayrav asked again.

"That's none of your business, Kay. Excuse me, I want to go back to the reunion."

Nadia pushed Kayrav away and walked away.

"I know why you married Razel. He helped pay for all your father's medical expenses, right? Your family went bankrupt and you had to quit college to work as a restaurant waitress. Your father had a stroke and needed a lot of money for his treatment."

Nadia's footsteps stopped. She stood still where she was. Tears slowly rolled down her cheeks.

The man named Kayrav felt sadness and guilt at that moment. He slowly approached Nadia and gently hugged the woman he loved so much from behind.

Nadia was shocked, but for some reason, her body couldn't resist the embrace of the man who was her first love in high school.

"I'm sorry, Nad, I shouldn't have come late," Kayrav whispered softly into Nadia's ear. Kayrav's face was so close to Nadia's shoulder.

Nadia slowly released Kayrav's embrace and now stood a few steps away from him.

"I don't want to discuss this. Now, I am Razel's wife and I want to live happily with him. Our relationship is in the past and I have forgotten it."

"Forgotten? Are you sure? I know that when you said those hurtful words to me, it wasn't from your heart, Nad. You just wanted to protect me from your parents because I know who you really are."

"Enough, Kay! Once again, I don't want to discuss it. Now, my life is only for Razel because he is a very kind person who has been willing to help my family. He is my angel."

Kayrav smiled crookedly. "Angel? Hmm!"

"Kay, honestly, I'm very happy to see you become a successful person now. I hope you find your happiness."

"You are my happiness, Nadia, and I deliberately created this reunion so I could meet you."

Nadia's eyes widened upon hearing that. She and her best friend, Tita, who had been confused for the past few days because of the mysterious reunion invitation, finally had their questions answered.

"You shouldn't have done something like that, Kay."

"This was the only way I could see you."

Nadia sighed. "Kay, you know I'm married to Razel now, right? So, from now on, we'll live our own lives, and I'll always pray for your happiness."

"I'll be happy if you can answer my question, Nad."

"What question?"

"Do you still love me?"

Nadia's eyes widened again at Kayrav's words. Honestly, what Kayrav asked was difficult for Nadia to answer.

"Kay, I want to go back to the event. Good night." Nadia turned around and walked away from there while wiping her tears.

Kayrav stood tall with his hands in his pants pockets.

"I know the answer, Nadia," he said to himself.

A man was watching the two of them, and he seemed to be walking towards Kay.

"Mr. Kayrav, I have all the information about Mr. Razel and Miss Nadia. What will you do next?" asked the man with white glasses.

"Cooperation. I will invite Razel to cooperate with my company."

"But... Mr. Razel's company is still new. You won't get anything if you cooperate with that small company."

"Come on, Leon! That's not what I want. What I want is bigger and more valuable than what you're saying." Kayrav showed a smirk.
