Chapter 16
"Damn it! Where's my crown? Where's my army?!"
Nino shot to her feet, glaring at her equally confused sisters before locking eyes on Ye Yu.
"Send me back right now! I still have to crush the evil Magic Kingdom and protect my people!"
Ichika weakly interrupted.
"Uh… I was the High Priestess of that evil Magic Kingdom."
"You…"
Miku and May were still lost in their roles, unable to snap out of it.
Yotsuba kept her head down, face burning, refusing to speak.
"The game's fun, but don't get too addicted! Look what time it is—we'll continue another day."
Ye Yu smiled and pointed at the clock on his phone.
Nino's reaction was even better than he'd hoped.
His original plan was to deepen his bond with one of the sisters through the game.
He hadn't expected Nino to get this hooked.
Only then did the girls notice—four hours had flown by without them realizing.
"Alright, Nino, time to rest."
Though Ichika was still reeling from her own experience, she knew it was late.
"Yeah, Nino, stop being unreasonable."
Miku chimed in.
"My Royal Knight Commander—turning against me already? What happened to being my sword and shield? Where's your knightly spirit?"
Miku blushed. Now that she was out of the scene, it did feel a little cringey.
Ye Yu soon headed home.
The quintuplets immediately started discussing the game.
Nino was the most excited.
She'd never been into games, but this one?
In that hyper-realistic world, she'd been an empress.
Everyone knelt before her, bowing in reverence.
That feeling of standing at the absolute pinnacle of power—it was intoxicating.
No wonder so many people were obsessed with gaming!
Miku felt the same.
She'd always admired historical warlords—not just for their rugged looks, but for the thrill of leading armies and protecting their lords.
In the game, she was the Empire's greatest sword.
Seeing endless ranks of soldiers salute her… it had felt incredible. She'd completely immersed herself.
While the four sisters enthusiastically recounted their scenes, Yotsuba stayed silent.
Something felt off.
Are we sure we played the same game?
You guys were empresses, knights, mages…
How come I got kissed and cuddled by Ye Yu all night?!
"Yotsuba, what's wrong? You've been acting weird since we logged out."
"N-Nothing… just tired from the game…"
Yotsuba's eyes darted away, her mind replaying the wedding over and over.
What a memorable day…
The next morning.
Ye Yu woke up around 10 a.m.
After washing up and enjoying a hearty meal, he decided to fully resolve the Karuizawa situation.
He dialed the phone he'd given Aiko.
…
"What the hell are you playing at? Why drag me here? And what's this 'surprise' you keep talking about?"
A red-haired guy glared impatiently at Aiko.
Ryuuen Kakeru—the current boss of the entire school.
Flanking him were two girls and a massive black guy—his most trusted enforcers.
Aiko's heart skipped a beat seeing Ryuuen angry.
But Ye Yu's orders were absolute—she didn't dare disobey.
"R-Ryuuen-senpai, I know you're upset! Just wait a little longer—you'll understand soon."
Sweating profusely, Aiko tried to stall.
Ryuuen suppressed his irritation and slumped into an old chair in the school warehouse, staring her down.
"You've got ten seconds. Explain—or you'll end up like Karuizawa."
Blue-haired Ibuki Mio watched coldly, clearly annoyed.
Kushida Kikyo stepped in with a smile.
"Come on, we're all on the same side. Let's talk it out."
Her warm smile briefly made Aiko feel grateful.
But Ryuuen snorted, cutting her off.
"Same side? Don't make me laugh. I'm the king of this school. You lot are just pawns, toys, dogs."
The hulking Albert remained stoic, but Kushida and Ibuki's faces darkened.
They hadn't expected Ryuuen to drop the act so blatantly.
Clap clap clap…
Applause echoed through the dim warehouse.
Ye Yu stood at the entrance—no one knew when he'd arrived.
"Impressive. So young, and already a king."
Aiko exhaled in relief at the sight of him.
She bolted toward Ye Yu without glancing at the others.
He stepped aside to let her pass.
"Thank you, my lord! Thank you!"
She bowed repeatedly and fled the warehouse.
Ryuuen sneered at the newcomer.
"So you're the one behind this? Pathetic. What class are you in? You really think you can challenge the king of this school?"
He stretched lazily and glanced at Albert.
His most loyal enforcer cracked his knuckles and stepped forward.
"Kid, you don't mess with Ryuuen."
As Ryuuen's top muscle, Albert's sheer size alone intimidated most students.
Ibuki glared too.
"You're the bastard who tricked me into coming here? Brace yourself—I'm gonna make this hurt."
Kushida, however, watched Ye Yu with interest rather than anger.
It had been a year since Ryuuen took over.
Challengers like this weren't new.
"Anime world folks really are entertaining."
Ye Yu's smug expression pushed Ibuki over the edge.
She leaped up with a flying kick.
But Ye Yu didn't even flinch.
He caught her leg with one hand and yanked her into his arms.
"Delivering yourself right to my door?"
