Chapter 20
Under Ye Yu's control, the insects filed neatly back into the small blue box in his hand.
This was the Insect Control Box he had crafted using his unique ability. With this tool, even those without insect manipulation powers could command the bugs he summoned.
He grabbed Kushida Kikyo's right hand—she was still frozen in shock—and a burning heat spread across her palm.
She didn't dare pull away.
After about a minute, Ye Yu let go.
Unnoticed by her, a red, six-pointed star pattern had appeared on her palm.
He handed her the round box.
"This contains one queen insect and several larvae. The larvae can control ordinary people. The queen can continue reproducing."
The box required ability energy to operate. Since Kushida had none, Ye Yu had imprinted a fragment of his power directly onto her palm.
"I… control others?"
Kushida didn't fully understand, but the moment she held the box, it glowed.
Suddenly, it felt like an extension of her body. She could sense exactly how many insects were inside.
She even instinctively knew how to use it.
"You're really giving this to me?"
Kushida was stunned. In her eyes, the power to control anyone was godlike.
Ye Yu didn't answer. Instead, he handed her the sheet of paper he had just manifested.
"These ten people circled on the list—you have ten days to kill them. For the rest, make one or two appear before Karuizawa every day to apologize and beg her forgiveness."
Kushida paled again.
More killing…
If he had such terrifying power, why not do it himself? Why force her to suffer over and over?
Seeing her silence, Ye Yu kept smiling.
His gentle gaze felt like a sharp blade piercing her heart.
"You can do it, right?"
Kushida shivered instinctively and shouted, nearly on reflex:
"I can! I absolutely can!"
Ye Yu patted her head gently, voice pleased.
"Good girl. That's the right attitude. The ones with crosses—you don't need to worry about them. They're no longer necessary."
Kushida's heart tightened again.
No longer necessary… means he killed them too?
"Alright, you can go now."
With a casual wave, spatial power activated.
Kushida vanished from the bedroom.
Ye Yu followed her briefly with his vision—saw her appear safely near the warehouse—then withdrew his gaze.
He had given her the Insect Control Box because he needed someone to handle this dirty work.
He had finally been sent—by some merciful angel sister, presumably—to a normal world. He was here to enjoy life, not play full-time babysitter.
Occasional rescues were fine, but solving every single problem himself? Then who would eat the delicious food? Who would comfort the beautiful heroines?
He lay back on the bed, ready to chat with Karuizawa, when his phone rang.
Unknown caller.
"Hello?"
"Ye Yu, is this you? This is the Dean of Academic Affairs at Nerima University. There's an urgent matter. Come to my office immediately."
Ye Yu's patience snapped.
I'm finally in a normal world after transmigrating, and you want me to suffer through school?
"No time. Don't call me again unless it's important."
"Ye-Ye Yu? Did I hear that correctly? What did you just say?"
"Seriously? A deaf person can be a dean these days?"
Ye Yu hung up impatiently.
On the other end, a black-haired man wearing glasses stared at his phone in disbelief.
Did I just get insulted by a student?
Rage ignited in his chest.
In front of him stood three men and two women.
The most beautiful girl was none other than Tokisaki Kurumi.
The others: three middle-aged men and a plump, richly dressed woman dripping with jewelry.
"What did that little bastard say?"
"Is he too scared to come? That damn kid killed my precious son!"
Kurumi's eyes flashed with anger.
"I told you—this has nothing to do with Ye Yu! The police already said it was an accident! Why are you cursing him like this?"
But the four grieving parents were beyond reason.
"Shut up! This doesn't concern you—stay out of it!"
"He murdered my son! He has to pay with his life!"
The dean narrowed his eyes and raised a hand for calm.
"Everyone, please stay composed. I'll call Ye Yu again. He might not have heard me clearly."
Ring ring…
"Ye Yu, about the matter—"
"I said I'm busy. Expel me. Get lost."
Beep beep beep…
The dean's hand clenched the phone so hard his knuckles whitened.
That little shit dared insult me like this?!
Kurumi, hearing Ye Yu mention expulsion, grew anxious.
Why are you being so impulsive?!
She quickly apologized on his behalf.
"Dean Ziteng, please don't be angry. He might be shaken up. Let me call him."
Ring ring…
"Are you trying to die?"
Ye Yu was genuinely irritated now.
Endless calls? I said expel me. Can't you understand human speech? No one interrupt my new lessons with Karuizawa!
"Ye Yu, it's me—Tokisaki Kurumi!"
"Haha, Kurumi! I thought it was some annoying dog earlier."
Beside her, Dean Ziteng's face twisted—he wanted to strangle this insolent brat.
"It's about the rooftop incident. Dean Ziteng wants you to come to the office. The parents are here too."
"Great! Be right there."
Three minutes after hanging up, Ye Yu gently pushed open the office door.
Everyone froze—then rage exploded.
Especially Dean Ziteng.
This bastard was on campus the whole time?! So disrespectful—he doesn't even see me as human!
"You bastard! You killed my son—die!"
One of the middle-aged men, unable to contain himself, charged with a raised fist.
Ye Yu's eyes turned glacial.
So enthusiastic right from the start.
He extended his right hand.
A single slap.
In an instant, the man flew backward at terrifying speed.
