Chapter 21 - Chapter 21

Chapter 21

The middle-aged man crashed heavily into the nearby cabinet. A burning sting spread across his face.

He sucked in a sharp breath.

It hurt—god, it hurt so much!

He glared at the university student in front of him, utterly bewildered.

This kid looked refined, almost delicate—how could he have such monstrous strength? He himself weighed nearly 190 pounds!

And yet… his own son had once bullied this guy? Was that even possible?

The others were equally stunned. An eerie silence fell over the room.

Dean Ziteng was the first to recover.

He glared at Ye Yu with displeasure and spoke in a deep, authoritative tone.

"Why did you assault a parent? Do you have any basic decency as a university student? Apologize to these parents right now, or I'll seriously have to consider whether you deserve disciplinary action!"

Ye Yu completely ignored him.

His gaze remained fixed on Kurumi.

A few days apart, and she somehow looked even more beautiful.

The wine-red top, plaid miniskirt, and eye-catching black thigh-highs gave her an unexpectedly seductive charm.

"Long time no see, Kurumi. Got any plans later?"

Seeing Ye Yu fixated on her the moment he walked in, Kurumi's cheeks flushed slightly.

She tugged gently at his sleeve.

"Ye Yu, the dean is talking to you."

Ye Yu turned with visible irritation, staring straight at Ziteng.

"You want me to apologize to them?"

Only now did he really look at the man's face. Memories flooded back.

Ziteng Koichi—Dean of Academic Affairs at Nerima University.

Before regaining his memories, Ye Yu had met him a few times.

Once, unable to endure the bullying anymore, he'd gone to this dean for help.

The bastard had told him: "I don't help the weak. If you're being bullied, maybe you provoked someone stronger. You challenged their dignity."

A piece of trash like this was a dean?

Oh—right. He was the beastly teacher from Highschool of the Dead. That explained everything.

His father was a politician. Becoming a dean at some school was perfectly reasonable.

Ziteng pushed up his glasses, adopting his signature "elite society" expression.

Seeing Ye Yu soften, he assumed his threat had worked.

He didn't believe the "expel me" nonsense for a second.

The kid had endured humiliation like a dog and still stayed in school. Now that the bullies were dead, he suddenly wanted to drop out? Ridiculous.

"Exactly. You assaulted a student's parent—extremely serious misconduct!"

Ye Yu's lips curved into a smile as he looked at the fool like he was already a corpse.

"You're an idiot, huh? Didn't you see him screaming 'die' the second I walked in? That was legitimate self-defense."

Ziteng, seeing Ye Yu refuse to give him face, lost his composure. His face darkened.

"Do you even know what you're saying?"

The beaten middle-aged man, bolstered by the dean's support, forgot his pain.

"How dare you talk to the dean like that? No manners at all! You killed my son and now insult the staff? Scum like you will only cause trouble in society!"

The woman chimed in shrilly.

"Exactly! You murdered my son—pay with your life, you filthy dog!"

"You jinx! Because of you, my precious child is gone! Do you know how much effort we put into raising such a talented university student?"

"Filthy bastard—why don't you just go die in hell?"

Hearing their curses, Kurumi's face flushed with anger. She opened her mouth to speak, but Ye Yu raised a hand to stop her.

"You say I killed your sons? What—so I can control lightning? Compress it to the limit, wrap it in telekinesis, and detonate it when the shell fades, electrocuting all four of them?"

The four scoffed.

You? Controlling lightning?

"Even if you didn't control the lightning, my son was on that rooftop because of you! If it weren't for you, he wouldn't have been struck!"

"Exactly! You have to compensate us! My son was my entire future!"

Ye Yu almost laughed from sheer disbelief.

"Do you even know why your sons were on that rooftop with me?"

Their eyes flickered guiltily.

They'd done their research—knew their sons had been bullying and extorting Ye Yu.

But as always: the ones falsely accusing you often know the truth better than anyone.

They didn't care about facts. They needed an outlet for their grief and rage. A scapegoat to recover their "losses."

And Ye Yu—parentless, seemingly easy to bully—was the perfect target.

Ziteng silently endorsed it.

In his eyes, sacrificing one Ye Yu would prevent parental uproar and protect the school's reputation. A bargain.

"Of course you lured them up there with bad intentions."

One spoke with weak conviction.

But the gaudy, bejeweled woman screeched:

"I don't care why! You killed my son—you must take responsibility!"

Ye Yu's cold smile widened. He nodded slowly.

"Very good. Really good. So tell me—what compensation do you want?"

Anyone from the apocalypse who saw that smile would have been terrified.

It meant Ye Yu's rage was skyrocketing.

Blood would flow soon.

But these people clearly didn't understand death was coming.

They thought he was buckling under pressure from the parents and school.

Ziteng pushed up his glasses again, finally calming down.

The trash is still trash. Not even a token struggle.

"Hmph. No amount of money can bring back my precious son! Just give us 200 million yen each. I heard you own a luxury apartment."

Greed flashed in the man's eyes.

"Me too—200 million!"

"Kid, that's settled. You lose some cash—we lost our children!"

Kurumi trembled with rage.

"You people are utterly shameless!"
