Chapter 3 - Anaerah

[...]

Zyrus closed his eyes, as he breathed deeply. The dull ache of memory transfer remained in his head but it also grounded him, to think calmly. After all, there was a lot to take in.

First of all, he had been practically transmigrated into the world of novel, or rather into his favourite Novel.

The Legend Of Arcania.

"Damn it, out of the hundred i have read, just why this one." However instead of being happy and excited. He groaned.

This world....this world it's practically a death sentence for someone like him, one who doesn't have anything other than his knowledge.

Of course, knowledge was an extremely powerful tool, however it's useless of you don't have the power to control it.

Second of all, he had been chosen as a Successor.

The Successor Of The Apex.

A tilte even the protagonist, the heaven's favourite child haven't recieved. That was something to be proud of atleast, however the idea of being Successor.

To a broken person like him, it wasn't really enticing. Though ignoring it.

The third reason, Zyrus shifted his head to the side. For a good moment, it was hard for him to even look away.

It wasn't his fault, to a mundane person like him, seeing a being of such beauty would obviously have it's effects.

As the silver beam of moonlight spilt on her, the surroundings seem to blur. Beside him, draped in that serene moonlight lay a girl.

He don't know why or how, it's just that he felt a thread of some connections between them, it was a strange feeling to describe.

However, just as he looked at her more. His reverie was broken by the chime of system.

[Transmigration has been completed.

The system had dealt with Fated error.

You can now see your status, host.

Ding- Quest has been recieved.]

"Oh...show it." Zyrus said feeling strangely apprehensive.

"Hmm, how strange. This body is sixteen, yet it's Unawakened." Zyrus thought rubbing his chin, he was in control now. The transmigration and pain had made him feel like hell, however now he was good.

Though his status wasn't finished, it seemed. He looked down, glancing at the next column on the golden blue screen.

Zyrus read the column seriously. He now clearly, understood the connection that, he seemed to be feeling between them was.

'Well, to think that she will be accidentally transmigrated. How ridiculous.' He thought shaking his head as he pushed his body up through pain and sat.

Then he looked at his new body. It was pale, almost to the point of malnutrition. Then, he quickly looked at the patches of blue and black on it, that send multiple flicker's of pain when he brushed his fingers against it.

"It seems you got a pretty good beating, huh." He chuckled lightly trying to ease his uneven heart.

"Ugh."

Just then a small whisper of sound entered his ears, making him look at the side. There, the girl's eyes quivered and soon they slowly fluttered open.

For a moment, they were a bit hazy and confused then as clarity came in them, she jerked up with a small yelp.

Zyrus, quietly looked at her as she sat.

Beautiful.

The words came into his mind, almost instantly.

Pale platinum blonde hair, some bordering on the edge of slivery white, shimmered like glass sheen in the perpetual light of moon. While icy gold also painted some of the beautiful edges of her hair.

Her hair's being long and wavy, loosely flowed down with curls.

Meanwhile, her eyes they were clear luminous blue in colour almost leaning towards an icy azure colour rather than dark blue.

Her skin was very fair porcelain, almost alabaster with a smooth and matte finish with no visible blemishes or strong undertones.

In short, she looked utterly gorgeous.

"Ah, huh? What?" Anaerah looked around holding her head confused through hazy pain.

Meanwhile, while Zyrus and Anaerah were having their introduction the scene outside was totally different.

On the carriage holding horse's rein, three man sat. Their face was covered with a black mask, thier eyes brimming with malice and crime.

"Uh, boss. What should we do now? It seems that house GoldShade is now trailing us." A man in the right said his voice heavy and perhaps a bit nervous.

"Yes, boss. They have a high ranking guards with them, we won't even stand a chance of we are caught." The other one also added.

Meanwhile the boss of them for a moment was quiet then, jerking the ropes and increasing the speed of horses pulling the carriage even more he spoke.

"It's fine. If we move with the speed we are going now we will reach the next city before they can catch us, and then use teleportation circle to get out." The boss said then he continued.

Both of the kidnapper's then looked at him as if wanting to say something but hesitated. The boss of course, noticed that and said.

"Just say what is it?"

"Um, ah boss, we don't get it. Till now you haven't ever layed a hand on noble, however today you have kidnapped one and none other GoldShade daughter that is. I think that it's very dangerous, you know how nobles are." The right one spoke.

The boss sighed.

"It was orders from the headquarters." That all he said.

And yet they both understood.
