Chapter 9 - Say My Dear Bond-4

"What do you mean, you can't do anything about it? Isn't this chamber created by you?" Anaerah asked frowning slightly.

The golden eyed man looked at her for a moment, then sighed. He shook his head as he spoke.

"No, Bond. These chambers....where The Apex had left his legacies weren't created by me. Rather, i am already long dead...this is just a fragment of my will. That i left here..to see who will be the chosen one."

The man spoke as he cleared her misunderstanding.

"Who are you, then?" She asked her expression remaining the same.

"..." Quietly, the man shifted his gaze towards Zyrus once again then in a heavy voice he finally spoke.

"It doesn't matter who I am lady, even if you have fate with you...it will all be nothing but useless." He spoke then once again went quiet, as if reminiscing something.

"Then, what do we do about that? That knight will kill Zyrus." She spoke in a dark and grim voice.

"We just have to trust the boy, lady. Nothing that happen's in these chambers will ever be something as meager as coincidence. So...just watch, after all great perils are known to shape a great person."

"Useless, Oldman." Anaerah muttered.

"..."

"S-shit!" Zyrus staggered, as blood flowed down from his chest furiously. He turned as his head sharply, as he looked at the black knight behind him.

The knight flicked it's sword to the side, as his blood on it's blade spilt down on the black stone.

Then, it moved again.

Clang

A loud ring of metal meeting metal rang in the vacant halls, as for the first time since this fight began. Zyrus was able to block a blow.

'Calm down, calm down. You will just die, if you don't calm your nerves.' Like a mantra, Zyrus rang the ever familiar words in his mind.

"Ugh." Groaning, under the weight of the strike he held on. From the pressure exerting on his body, even more blood came out of his chest and nose.

However, he still held on..somehow, as he glanced at the timer once again.

The knight looking at the teenager, holding the weight pushed with even more strength. Zyrus knees, lowered slightly as the force became almost unbearable.

However, instead of pushing with his meager strength, he tilted the blade of his sword a little, as the Knight's sword slid down along his.

Though, the knight being the master of weapon, he was instantly recovered. As it spun on it's ankle once and aimed straight for the boy's head again.

Zyrus ducked, just in time barely dodging the feral blow. The knight as if he was aiming for that, twisted his blade and brought his hand down diagonally towards left...straight for Zyrus's neck.

Zyrus yelped his instincts screaming. In the nick of the time, he raised the flat of his blade and placed it straight along his neck.

The Knight's sword struck.

'Too strong.' Zyrus tried to hold the blow, however he was literally flown into the air from the force of the blow. His neck almost breaking.

Zyrus, landed on the ground or rather fell on the ground, rolling on it. Yet, he stood up without wasting a single second...who knows when would the knight move.

"Haa haa" he breathed raggedly, his lungs felt like they were on fire, his sides hurting while sweat and blood mixed and marred his face horribly.

Tired, he glanced at the knight who ducked slightly as if preparing for another move. However Zyrus stilled when he looked at the Black Knight's eyes.

There in the eyes of Black abomination, there was.... disdain?.

Yes

As, if he was just an insignificant insect trying to eat more than he can chew, the knight looked at Zyrus with utter disdain...like he wasn't even worthy of emotions other than it.

Like a string that had been stretched, to it's limit finally snapped. A flood of uncontrollable anger and rage filled Zyrus eyes.

"Why the fuck, are you looking at me like that?" He spoke straight to the Knight, his voice cold and harsh.

The Knight tilted it's head, as if it couldn't understand what he was saying.

'Why the hell, am "i" being subjected to such emotion, here?' Zyrus truly couldn't understand.

He couldn't understand it one bit, that why would he...

[0:19]

The one who had been kidnapped from his world...the one who had been forced to commit something horrendous...who had been beaten so much, that even such a simple and unconscious thing as breathing was hurting ardiously.

When he was fucking holding... struggling yes, but still holding his own against an Awakened as a normal boy, why would he have to face such an insult?

The Black Knight moved.

"Ahhh yes, i get it now. I get why i have to face this shit. It's pretty simple actually, huh...the reason i have to suffer so much is because I am weak."

Zyrus laughed as he finally understood the reason.

It doesn't matter, if he was transmigrated just today, it doesn't matter if he was just a child. Be it, Earth or be it Arcania...the simple rule of the universe is that the weak dies.

It doesn't matter the circumstances, it doesn't matter the state. It doesn't even matter about just humans.

It was as simple as that, the weak dies by the strong that's all.

As if an unknown burden, that had been weighing on Zyrus's mind lifted up. He calmed down.

Not in a regular way...no, Zyrus whole mind calmed down so much. That for a moment, he looked like he was in an enlightened state.

The world around him stilled, the Chaos in his mind dying down, as only one thing remained.

That bastard of a knight.

Zyrus looked at the knight coming towards him, at a rapid speed.

"Hey, you know what bastard. Thank's, thank you very very much. Because of you..I realised something very crucial. I realised what did i lacked...and what do i need to survive in this wretched world." Zyrus also crouched slightly.

"That's why, i promise you. Even if i die here right now. I...an Unawakened being will still scratch you."

Copying the same stance and same sword placement as the Black Knight, he charged straight at him wild grin.

A grin filled with rage and hatred.
