Chapter 7 - INSTANT HEALING

Arnold was the first person to realizes earlier about Favour's new ability, and this he thought was the same.

The red light kept getting brighter with Arnold's eyes fixed on it.

He didn't move, utter silence.

Favour's red sleeves glowed in the glimmering red light that misteriously came under her jacket.

Favour still looked as dead as her eyes were still shut.

"Was it possible to harness your powers while dead", Arnold thought to himself as he leaned in closer hoping to see what was happening.

A sudden voice stopped him.

"Don't disturb your sister", a woman voice sounded from behind Arnold.

He shifted his gaze towards his aunt Victoria.

She still tried to treat Williams, cleaning as much blood as possible.

Arnold could sense the desperation and noticed that in any moment, Victoria could be sending Williams and Favour back to a hospital to get the right treatment.

Arnold turned back to the seemless lifeless body of Favour.

It was unlike her to rarely scream during a wound.

She screamed for Paper Cuts, bruises, scratches, burns and many others.

The composure she showed towards this also made Arnold worried.

He placed his back hand on the heart of Favour to hear if she was still breathing.

"Whoo". Arnold let out a sigh of relief.

Never had he been so worried in his life.

As he removed his hands from the chest of Favour, he left and came back with the chopsticks that Victoria intended to use as the tonges.

Finally, Favour began to move. Sudden, underwhelming movements.

Sometimes, she did things like twitches.

This didn't concern the already standing Victoria who witnessed the whole thing go down.

Arnold grabbed his notebook and wrote down everything he saw, William laid on the bed, not a flinch

He didn't move.

The pain unbearable.

Finally, Favour's eyes began to open like a person who just woke up from sleep.

Everyone in the room was caught unaware of the sudden burst of red light that exceeded through the mouth and eyes of Favour.

Williams fell to the floor of the large bed.

He to was caught unaware when he had finally witnessed the scene.

He grunted towards where Arnold and Victoria stood, where he witnessed the live action and reported back to his family and gave them feedback.

Finally, after about two minutes, the red lights began to dim.

"The red lights are dimming", Arnold finally heard as he immediately sprinted back to the room.

'Be careful'.

Screams echoed around the hallway as Arnold paid no attention to it.

He grabbed his notebook and kept sprinting towards the long gestured hallway to his 5year old younger sister who seemed like she was having a rough day.

That was fair to say.

Arnold had never seen his sister so upset about something in his life.

He stood at the border of the door, glancing at Favour during every opportunity.

The buildings white colour made it almost possible to camouflage yourself.

The decor of the building was also very much well organized.

There were plants, trees and a fresh smell that gave the building a thrilling first impression whenever someone entered.

Arnold scribbled on his notebook, acting as though he wrote every single event that happened on his green covered notebook.

He took a few steps closer before his parents arrived.

"What happened?", Williams questioned although he already knew the answer.

His bare upper body exposed his pot belly.

Arnold shrugged. Still fixing his gaze on his sister.

The red lights had receded but Arnold still feared to get any closer.

It was then that Victoria called out.

"Baby, you okay?!".

No answers.

Favour sat up right on the bed with eyes wide open.

She stared at the standing fan that stood at the corner of the room.

Eyes fixed on it.

No movement.

Victoria and Arnold were the only people who stepped closer.

Williams stayed back at the border of the door.

Finally, Favour movements showed life.

She began to look up and down as though she had forgotten where she was.

She snapped out of her daze and turned to face the impending Arnold and Victoria.

Arnold had already known that the red light exhibited from her sleeve was due to her mark.

At that moment, her eyes began to glimmer a bit of red as well which proved Arnold's point.

The flash of light from Favour was so quick and sudden that Victoria had to abondon what she was doing to get out of the hospital room.

It lit up the entire room, blinding anyone who came near it.

Victoria still kept a confused face as she tip-toed closer to Favour.

"Mummy", the now exuberastic Favour screamed once she finally snapped out of her daze and saw Victoria.

Victoria calmed down after her heart raced.

Witnessing the loveliness of Favour made her whole again.

"So how is your leg sweety", Victoria then queried hoping for some good news.

Favour acted instead of spoke.

She looked down and removed the clean cloth that wrapped around her leg.

No blood stains, no blood.

Just scalps as far as the eye could see.

Victoria knelt down.

"What in the hell".

Never had she seen a bullet shot heal that quickly.

None of them had seen it.

Arnold though, didn't look so impressed.

He took a few steps back and grabbed his notebook.

'Instant healing is one of the abilities', Arnold scribbled on his notebook.

Although three question still remained in the minds of Arnold.

'What was that huge flash of light that came out of Favour? What is Favour's Sacred Type? And what does her mark look like?'.

All these questions, Arnold pondered as he scribbled on his notebook.

Victoria still looked at Favour with confused eyes.

The blood, the wounds, the pain, all gone.

It was more of a miracle for Victoria than any logic in the world.

She was just glad to have Favour back loud and lively again after it felt like she almost died.

Victoria though still had lots of questions as well.

She cleared her mind though. The sight of her daughter was all that she needed to see.

Arnold realised that he had to find out more about Favour and her sacred type.

He didn't know any type that one of the abilities was instant healing.

He kept a cold face but still remained confused.

"Wait, so if you healed. Where is the bullet that got shot?".

The question shot directly at Victoria and Williams like a spear as Williams now sat up right on the jumbo bed still groaning.

They wondered if the bullet had healed along with the flesh and tendons.

Victoria bent down.

"How is it possible. My daughter will be living with a bullet in her leg!", Victoria imagined and screamed, not able to contain the tears that flowed down her cheeks.

Then it appeared:
