Third person POV. -- 17th of July -- 2407 --
[ Shizuoka Prefecture ]
The decision to have a vacation was made. Kie then went on to clear her schedule at the hospital she's working at. deciding to make it atleast a 7days trip, she cleared out as much as she could, resulting in her getting called by her family, the ones who own the hospital, to know of the reason
"What is going on there Ki-chan? Why are you suddenly clearing your schedule so much? " A feminine voice, clearly belonging to a woman –maybe around Kie's age, is heard talking through the phone with the Benihana Mistress
"Relax, Aimi-chan. It will only be for a week. Besides, I'm sure you guys can manage without me for a while" Kie says through the phone, inside her room and in the bed
Aimi, sighs through the phone, "alright, i guess we'll manage without you then. By the way, you never told me the reason your not coming" Aimi states, her tone suspicious
Kie sighs, "nothing gets out of your sight does it" She is still smiling though, her tone light and playful, before she proceeds to tell Aimi her reason for not coming...
"Ooooooh~ i see~" And immediately starts getting teased for it. "A vacation with the whole family huh~" Her voice drawls out. "Guess 'The Brute' will be there too then~" Aimi's voice teases from behind the phone –reffering to Tetsuya as 'the brute'
Kie, despite her 6 years of marriage, still gets flustered, her cheeks going red because of the teasing. "hey! Stop that... " She weakly protests, earning a laugh from the other side of the phone
"Haha! I'm just messing with ya. By the way, where are you guys headed? " She asks, making Kie sigh in relief. "We're gonna go to our summer beach house at Umioka City" Kie informs her
"Heeeee~ that far huh~" And once again she begins getting teased. "Bet you'll be climbing that tree the FIRST MINUTE YOU'RE ALONE WITH HI-" "OKAY-GOOD-TALKING-TO-YOU-BYE! " Kie IMMEDIATELY hangs up! Her face beat red now, her heart hammering in her chest, and her hands on her cheeks
'Why can't i ever build a tolerance for the teasing???' She questions, and gets her answer the moment Tetsuya is out of the shower, drying his hair with a towel while only his lower half is wrapped, giving Kie another full picture of those toned abs and perfected physique. "The shower is ready, whenever you wanna hop in" He informs her, getting Kie to snap back from staring
'Yeah i bet those are the reason' Her eyes are furrowed, looking at Tetsuya's toned chest and abs. 'Abs are my greatest enemies. Whenever Aimi-chan teases me about him, i immediately get reminded of his body, making me flustered' her eyes begin to narrowmore, making poor Tetsuyafeeluncomfortable
'What did i do this time?' the poor dude questions if he's done something to get stared at so heatedly
Kie gets out of bed, dragging the blanket with her until she's to the corridor leading to the bathroom, holding her hip all the way there...

Mornings for Retsu is a routine by now. She sleeps at night around 9 o'clock, waking up at 7 in the morning, 10 hours of sleep for the child body that will help it grow tall and healthy
She has a morning jog around the estate, the climate being fine in the summer at this hour so she wears a loose fitting sports jacket and pants. After a 15 minutes light jog –where she is warmed up enough, she practices a few hundred perfect sword swings, then she'll practice on her formsa little as well
After that, around 8 is breakfast time. For mornings, she most of the time will have bacon and eggs, right besides some veggies and a glass of milk. Simple, and healthy for her child body
Today though, after she finished practicing and went to refresh herself, going to the dining area she finds her parents there as well, sitting and eating breakfast.
She joins them, and the trio have their breakfast while discussing their trip. "I've cleared my schedule for the next 7 days, so I'm free for the week to go" Kie informs
"All right, in that case, why don't we go now after breakfast? " Tetsuya asks, getting shrugs from the other two. "Fine by me" "I don't have anything to take care of, so let's do it"
It was decided then. After breakfast, Kie goes on to ready some essentials she'll needs for the trip, and Retsu heads to her room to prepare as well
Once they're ready and donning outfits fitfor the trip, with Kie and Retsu having similar summer long dresses and shoes, of course in different colors, –their nigh identical looks are indicator of their relationship enough, no need to have matching dresses too–
Tetsuya, is donning a flowery hawaiin sleeveless T-shirt and shorts, the upper 3 buttons being loose to show his toned chest, making Kie stare at it a lot
For a woman who flirts and flusters her husband all the time, Kie sure is weak on the defensive
Anyways, the family of trio are ready, their luggage put into the car they'll be taking, and they begin heading out towards the exit
The car they'll be taking is a sleek, silver coloured Lexus LS 500 from the year 2390, a luxury car famous in japan. The plating is smooth silver, kinda reflective with the windows being tinted black. Over all, a smooth ride that will make traveling for hours way easier and fun

As they're heading towards the car, Tetsuya gets a call from behind. "Wait, Tetsuya. I need a moment with you" It's Hiroshi, Tetsuya's father and former head of the family
Tetsuya, seeing him goes towards his father after he tells his wife he'll be with them in a moment. "Come on dear, let's wait in the car" Kie says to Retsu, getting a nod from her and the duo heading towards the car
A few minutes later, Tetsuya comes and enters the drivers seat. He begins starting the engine and swerving the car around the fountain and towards the exit. Kie is sitting Besides him on the passengers seat, with Retsu at the back, their seatbelts all put on
"What did he wanna talk about dear? " Kie questions, making Tetsuya look to the rear-view mirror, seeing Retsu having opened a book and start reading it. "It's nothing to worry about, he just wished us safe travels" He informs, his eyes back to the road
Kie shrugs too, before looking ahead.
The car exits the estate gates, beginning to accelerate on the asphalt of the clear street, and heading out of the city

It's currently 06:30 pm in the afternoon, the sun is setting, and it's also when the Benihana family get to their beach house here at Umioka City
Near the shores of the city, on a slope facing the ocean view, A modern two-story beach house designed in white, black, and soft grey, built to fully embrace the ocean view is seen. The structure is clean and geometric, with sharp lines and flat roof sections accented by dark trim. Large floor-to-ceiling glass windows dominate the sea-facing side, allowing natural light to flood the interior and offering uninterrupted views of the water.
The upper floor features open balconies with glass railings, extending outward toward the ocean and creating a seamless indoor-outdoor feel. On the ground level, wide sliding glass doors open to a shaded terrace, perfect for catching the sea breeze. Concrete, stone, and dark metal details balance the bright white exterior, giving the house a sleek yet relaxed coastal luxury aesthetic—modern, airy, and designed entirely around the horizon of the sea
The many glass windows also have the feature to be turned into Two-way Mirrors, Reflecting light from the outside, so that the interior becomes invisible

As the car's engines turn off, Kie and Tetsuya begin to unbuckle their seat belts. Looking behind, they see Retsu's head drooped down, her book forgotten on her thighs, having fallen asleep because of the quiet roads and warm atmosphere within the car
Even mentally strong, Retsu's brain and body is still that of a child. And when she feels tired, she doesn't fight the feeling like she can, and instead just goes to sleep
Kie scoops her up in a hug, while Tetsuya gets all the bags they brought with the essentials. The beach house is maintained once in a while by the staff of the family, ensuring it doesn't collect dust here, so once they enter, they see the place immaculate
They begin to unload what they brought while Retsu is put in her room to sleep peacefully
And like that, another day comes to an end and night falls on these shores

Morning comes, and with it the sound of the sea shore hitting sand. Seagulls singing in the sky, and within the Benihana Beach House, the couple waking up in bed
They spend a little time under the sheets, just talking about nothing particular, before getting out to start with the productive day
Kie heads to Retsu's room to wake her up, but doesn't see her there, making the woman frown. 'Maybe she's in the bathroom' Kie thinks, and just calls out to her that breakfast will be ready soon, before coming to the dining table
Tetsuya readies breakfast, before he joins Kie on the marble table, putting the trays down. "Where is Retsu? " He asks, making Kie look up from Her phone, "in the bathroom i think. I called for her, so she should be here soon" Kie informs, before Tetsuya sits down, both waiting
A minute passes and no sign of Retsu, making the couple restless. "RETSU? SWEETHEART YOU THERE?!?" Tetsuya yells out, still not getting an answer, making him frown
He gets up and walks to her room, knocking and not getting an answer either. "Retsu, you in there? " He asks, still no answer, making him worry so he opens the door and goes in
He looks around, not seeing her in bed, so he goes to the side corridor leading to the bathroom and toilet. "Retsu, you in there sweetheart? " He asks again while knocking on the door, still no answer. "Retsu! " Not a sound, so he goes in.
He opens the door, and sees she's not here either, making his eyes widen. He checks everywhere but doesn't find her, leading to his paranoia getting the best of him
He runs back down, "She's not in the mansion" And informs Kie, who immediately gets up, panicking "what? But she was here with us! No one should be able to come inside the house without us noticing either! "
"I know! But we need to find her! She's not in the mansion! " Just then, the front door to the mansion is opened and Retsu walks in, having come back from her early morning jogs
Kie immediately runs to her, holding her shoulders "Sweetheart where were you?! You made us worry! " She says, making Retsu tilt her head, "worried for what? I always go for a light jog in the morning" She explains, her face puzzled
"Yes but that's back home! Here you have to tell us! " Tetsuya says in a loud but worried voice, right besides them. "What's the point though-" Retsu stops, as she immediately sees the reason
'Of course, in their eyes i am but a little girl, no matter how much intelligence i show, they'll never put my safety at risk' Retsu's old heart begins to warm up. Never in her first nor second life did she have parents who cared that much for her, so she often went out whenever she wanted, never getting anyone worried like this for herself before
So it never did occur to her until now to put herself in their shoes. Retsu is very old, yes. But sometimes, even she can miss stuff like this.
Retsu's specialties lie in reading human nature and knowing emotions, but practicing them are different than knowing them. She has unknowingly done something –which she thought was normal, not taking their feelings regarding her in consideration. Thinking they'd be all right with her jogging just like she does every morning back at the mansion
She gets a scolding from Kie, something she's not often on the receiving end of, not in this nor her previous lives. The feeling it gives, she knows of it, but knowing it is different than experiencing it. It's a whole different feeling entirely
Retsu nods her head, accepting her blunder and promising to not do something like this -when they are outside the house, all on her own, at least not until she informs them first before she does it
"Sighhhh, there is no use dwelling on it now. What's happened has already passed. Let's go have breakfast" Kie sighs before they go and sit at the table to eat breakfast, the food having gotten a little cold now, but no less delicious
While sitting, Kie suddenly laughs a little, "haha~ honestly, you are so mature and understanding for your age that, sometimes i forget that you're a child. It should be my fault for not informing you not to do stuff like this without informing us when we're outside" Kie says, looking at her daughter
Tetsuya sighs, shaking his head. "Who knew being a parent was this difficult. You were always very quiet and behaving, leading to us becoming very lenient. Our other relatives and friends always complained about parenting being the hardest job ever, so we never understood. Now though it seems, we should have thought you stuff like this earlier to avoid these misunderstandings" He explains, looking towards Kie who nods too. Before the duo look at Retsu
Kie starts, "We planned on not enrolling you to any kindergarten because of your matureness, but now we think that we should have." She says, making Retsu suddenly look up with wide eyes
Tetsuya continues, "You're currently 4 years and 7 months old, so it's still possible to enroll you until you go to elementary school." Seeing the slowly forming frown on Retsu's face, the duo exchange a look
"I know honey, this may look like punishment but it isn't" Kie puts a hand on Retsu's shoulder. "It's only going to be for a year at best, then your school will start so you don't have to worry about it anymore. And you may not know it now but it's going to be very helpful for you later" Kie says, with Tetsuya putting his hand on her head, ruffling it a little. "It's going to be good for you, sweetheart" He says
Retsu, because of one simple blunder, managed to make her life worse by enrolling herself into kindergarten. 'Siiiiigh, what a drag... '

After breakfast,the family begins heading out to the famous entertainment areas around the beach
Kie is donning a nice blue colored summer dress. The length going all the way to her knees with a nice wavy accent added to them, being sleeveless and having flowery strings holding the dress up on her shoulders.
On her feet is a pair of white string-designed summer shoes, having a little heel to them and a white flower design at the crown. Her toes are manicured in a light pink color too
She's donning a big summer hat that has a blue sash wrapped up around it, with her silky black hair let loose, and white glasses on
Tetsuya has a pair of white shorts, long white socks and polished white shoes. For top, he is wearing an open buttoned hawaiin t-shirt, with many different brush stroke like color designs with the shirt itself being Light Blue. He's also wearing a pair of glasses and a cap hat to protect himself from the heat, as well as to better hide his identity.
You would be suprised to know how much a person can blend in with just a pair of glasses and a cap
As for Retsu, she has an outfit similar to her mother's, with the dress going down to her knees but not having the wavydesign added to them, instead, the edges of her dress is a different color. the colouring is prominently blue, with white accents around the edges
The family has just entered the amusement park here near the beach, with many people walking around in different varieties. Some having different skin color, like red, blue, or othef skin tones, some having mutations that show with one having a third eye, one having tusks growing out of his teeth, a woman with elf-like pointed ears, a girl with pink skin-
'waida minute! ' Retsu follows the pink skinned kid's back with her eyes, seeing a head full of pink curly hair, and two yellow curved horn-like antennae on her head. 'Ashido Mina-san? ' Retsu questions, her hand intertwined by her mother's to not get lost
The girl turns around, her hand holding an older man's –her father most likely, and is smiling brightly towards him, pointing towards a stand to the side about a shooting range
Retsu is able to see her face now and can confirm that, that is definitely Ashido Mina, from class 1a of UA high school, a future pro hero named Pinky. Her Black scalera and yellow eyes unmistakable
"Should i interact with her? ' Retsu questions, looking as the father daughter duo head to the stall after a woman who's skin is pink comes back with some ice cream in hand
" Retsu? " She suddenly hears, making her snap out of it and look towards Kie, who is looking down at her in worry. "You were spaced out, are you well dear? Is the weather affecting you too much? " She asks, making Retsu shake her head
"No, i was just thinking about something. What was it you asked? " She says and asks, diverting the topic. "I was asking if you wanted to ride the ferris wheel first or not? " Kie asks, letting go of the topic since she doesn't seem to wanna talk about it
"Alright" Retsu acceps, and the trio head to the ferris wheel seen in the ditance
While walking away, Retsu looks back, and sees Mina laughing as she is rewarded a pink plushie after her dad shot it down for her in the stance
Retsu looks ahead, 'if fates dictates, we'll meet again. I shouldn't be so shocked about them. I've lived for 4 years in this world now, they may have been behind screen back then, but now they're all real human beings' she thinks
Retsu, in her 4 years and 7 months of living here, has always been surrounded by unfamiliar faces. No one she's interacted with she's known the fate of. But the characters from the show are different. Retsu knows them, knows their fate, what will happen to them. She knows everything, she's been there alongside themas they journied together
But it still comes with a little shock when she sees somone she's known for a long time, for the first time
It's a new feeling for Retsu. Something she hasn't experienced before, not in her thousands of years of living.
