Retsu's POV. -- 15th of July -- 2407 --
[ Hinode City -- Benihana Estate]
It's been 4 years and 7 months since my reincarnation into this world.
Life within the estate is quiet. The butlers and maids of the estate tend to its need in such a quiet rhythm that sometimes, you would think there is no one here
My life, since the day i was able to grow out of my baby phase –Not being able to control my body– was spend in exploring this gargantuan place. There are many buildings within the estate, with the biggest being our own.
A traditional japanese mansion with the roofs being the color of dark red. It is so big infact that new comers would be lost trying to find their way into a simple bathroom within the estate.
But despite its traditional looking rooms, it's interior floors being all tatami mats, and having wooden sliding doors, you can still find touches of advanced technology within the estate. My own room for example, has a nice living area that houses a modern TV and a computer. Basically anything that you'd want. Each room also has it's own seperate bathroom and bedrooms, making it a truly Luxury home despite what its outer appearance may suggest.
Then, we have another building right besides our estate. When you exit from the side door of the estate, you will see a short wooden road attached to another building right besides our home. The wooden road has a roof made in the same design as the estate, with pillars of the same dark red color that's supporting its roof, besides the walkway you can see the outside gardens and greenery that's encompassing the whole Place
The building here besides our house is a Dojo. It's the place where members of the family may practice and train in anyway they want. It's a dojo as well as a gym, so workout is also possible here
Then we also have a building a little farther than the front side of our home, it's nearer to the big front doors of our estate and houses our workers, gardeners, butlers and maids of the estate. That one is a little more on the modern side, having 3 story levels with a lot of rooms for the people living within
The entire area surrounding the estate until the walls is covered in vegetation, trees, and flower fields. Walk ways and such is also covered on both sides in bushes trimmed like walls, with the bigger road from the front gate to the estate being the biggest one that can let vehicles through
The front of the estate also has a fountain and the road circling it for cars and other vehicles to circle around

'Unh! Since the day my quirk manifested... ' i parry another wodden strike, '... I have been hard at work! ' I'm currently inside the dojo of our house, taking blows and parrying them using my wodden sword
'In front of me is the sword instructor, somone commissioned by the Benihana family to train me in the art of sword handling, something I'm pretty much proficient at but, ' an overhead strike comes my way, but it's too fast for me to parry it perfectly, so i have no choice but to do it the traditional way, putting strain on my tiny shoulders, and making me wince in displeasure
"You are losing focus! " The instructor says, before he strike from my left side, making me quickly change stance to parry that as well. "Good reaction!" He says, before backing away a little
'Currently, it's been atleast 10 minutes since this spar started, ' i think, while readying myself for the next onslaught of blows. 'The focus of today's lesson is to defend against strikes. ' the instructor once again advances forth, holding his training sword in both hands in front of him, my mind calculating hundreds of ways to predict how he will strike next
He begins to raise his sword over his head, making me see everything he's about to do before he does it, so i prepare once again to parry it to the side, although...
"Umph-" ... I'm forced to once again parry it in the basic way, because my body isn't fast enough to parry it the way i want.
'This is my current conundrum' i think, while continuing on sliding his strikes to the side in the basic way thought by the instructor
'Without using my quirk, –something I'm forbidden from using in these spars, i can't augment myself, thus not being able to wield my blade the way i want to, which is becoming more frustrating by the second' i frown, while sliding strike after strike, the instructor not letting any breathing room out for me
"That's enough! " I suddenly hear from behind, turning to see an elderly man sitting on a zaisu to the side. The Instructor stops as well, before bowing to the elderly and backing away
The elderly person, being in his mid 60s now, is my Grandfather. He is from my father's side of the family. Being a retired pro hero. His name is Benihana Hiroshi, former head of the family. His hair has gone fully grey, though his piercing grey colored eyes tell a different story.
his health may have declined, but he is still the same man who once used to fight alongside Yoroi Musha, current number 9 in the hero rankings
"Since the day your quirk manifested a year and a half ago, you have always seemed unsuited for the idea of swordsmanship" Hiroshi says, still frowning. "I think it's about time i found out why that is" He commands more than asks, making me internally sigh, while externally showing no emotion
"That is because of the limitations put upon me" I inform nonetheless. Making him tilt his head, "what limitations? " He questions
"My quirk being restricted, grandfather. I can't use it to augment myself during sparring, and thus can't show my full potential" I tell him
'Quirks are like muscles, as far as i know. The more you use them, the stronger they get. They are a part of us. The idea of not using them early on is something i do not understand at all' i internally think, my eyes though, are still forward, towards the sitting man
He says that in order to enter the bigger leagues, i must first master the fundamentals –not knowing I'm already a master at fundamentals. My techniques are all ahead of this tiny body of mine. And i don't plan on restarting all the way from the bottom, when i can use my quirk to replace what I'm lacking currently
Hiroshi has a thinking face, as if contemplating something, before he waves his hand. "Very well, let us see how much this meta ability of yours can help you in kenjutsu" He motions for the instructor who comes back into the ring
I look at the instructor, before starting to use my quirk this time. 'First, let's augment my heart to start things off. It will pump blood faster, allowing in stronger overall performance'
– Third Person POV.
Retsu begins pumping her blood and circulating them in key areas to boost her performance. First, the heart, then she focuses blood to her tendons, allowing for better flexibility and quick dodging. Then she flows blood to her legs, unlocking stronger sprints and speed. Her core comes next, becoming her balancing point to control her movements better
Next she goes for her arms, shoulder, and even fingers, augmenting her grip and hand strength, allowing her to better control how she'll strike and parry
She pumps a little in her brain as well, just enough to not feel high but enough to boost her performance
You would think using so much augmentation at the same time would be tiring and split her focus too much during battle, but you would forget that the person doing this was once Unohana Yachiru, the being who knew thousands of ways to fight and kill using the sword
Her mental strength is on a level far beyond normal human, letting her multitask however much she wants
By the time she finished augmentingand strengthening herself, not even 5 seconds has passed
"In this spar Retsu won't be only defending. You may both use however many sword techniques you have on each other. You may begin" As Hiroshi gives the signal, the instructor advances a step with his sword in front of him, but he suddenly stops, his breath hits his throat and his eyes widen, as before him...
Retsu has let her left hand free, and is holding the training sword on her right only, her stance looks very relaxed, her eyes are half lit and are looking right at the intructor. No, they are looking right at his soul!
'Her form... It's... Full of flaws?... ' he questions instead of stating, his mind telling him to attack, but his instincts as a professional Kenjutsu instructor is warning him to stay away! 'It's a trap!' His eyes widen! 'Every opening she is showing is a trap! ' what the hell??? Where did she learn such a technique!
Retsu though, doesn't wait for the intructor to get his bearings. 'If he won't advance, then i will' Retsu vanishes from her current spot, appearing right in front of her opponent, her sword ready for striking! It begins to close in on his left side, the side she knows is his weakest the moment they first exchanged blows
The intructor, a man in his early 30s, in the prime of his life, barely manages to shift his form! Blocking her strike. even still...
"Aghk-" His sword hand goes numb, while he slides a step back! But Retsu doesn't let him recover, she's unto him in the blink of an eye, her sword ready for a diagonal strike
This time, the instructor doesn't recover in time, leading to him getting hit on the shoulder! "AGH! " He cries out, falling on his ass, the shoulder getting struck being his dominant side, resulting in his sword falling off of his now numb hand
"I-i can't feel my hand! " The instructor cries! Holding his right hand, trying to move his fingers, but not being able to at all
Retsu quietly approaches the instructor, seeing the half lidded eyed monster aproaching him, he tries to back away, failing to do so before she is before him
Retsu lifts her hand and grabs where she struck him, applying pressure on his shoulded precisely where she needs to, resulting in the instructor begining to feel his right side again
He is panting profusely now, both confused and terrified of the being before him. Retsu though, doesn't even look at him twice, before she turns her head towards Hiroshi
"If that is all, then I'll be in the library" She gives a curt bow before heading out of the dojo, leaving behind Hiroshi and the instructor. Later that day that same instructor puts out his resignation papers before heading out of the estate, no questions asked

"I heard that you put another Instructor out of commission" Kie, Retsu's mother who just entered the library to look for her daughter, asks this question when she found her sitting there with stacks of books, all regarding history
"You do know you are supposed to learn about those books in middle school, right? " Kie questions, her tone playful, knowing full well her daughter is a genius when it comes to these stuff
Retsu never tried to hide her intelligence from anyone. In the history of the Benihana bloodline, Retsu is the first to ever be this advanced for her age. Those who were above her were simply more intelligent because of their quirks
Some may argue that she too is using her quirk to become more intelligent, and they are partially correct
Retsu does use her quirk. In fact, she passively does it 24/7!
And shes circulating her blood throughout her body all the time because it helps strengthen it further. Quirks are like muscles, the more you use them, the stronger they become. But she doesn't use it to Augment her brain to boost her intelligence. In fact, doing so has negative affects more than positive
It is fairly safe to do it once in a while –like today at the spar, but doing so continuously can be dangerous for the brain. After all, the brain of the human body isn't something one should mess with, humans don't even know how it fully works yet.
Retsu looks up from her book, seeing her mother Kie looking at her, but being so engrossed in her research, she didn't quite catch what she said. "I'm sorry what? " So she asked to make sure
Kie rolls her eyes, letting out a sigh before getting up. "Come on, today is my off day so let's go have a little mother daughter moment in the gardens" She says, making Retsu get out from under all these studying
Because it's the Summer season, the humidity is very high, resulting in more casual clothing for the duo
Kie is in a one-piece blue dress, having also a big hat on top to cover herself from the heat, while Retsu is donning a similar wear, just the color white
The duo are in the gardens now, walking around and admiring the scenery. Occasionally talking about trivial stuff
"You know, it's pretty hot right now, why don't we visit the beach? " Kie asks, getting a shrug from Retsu. "I don't mind. When should we go? " She asks, getting Kie to smile
"Well, my schedule is kinda full right now, with the hospital getting busier, i have to tend to many patients right now. And you know your father is always away at work" She says, getting a nod from Retsu
"So i thought, why don't we inform him first, before making arrangements for a time where both of us are free to go visit" Kie says, getting another nod from Retsu
"That's a good plan. Let's do it" She says, before the duo head back inside, where Kie goes to get her phone to call her husband
The duo are now within the living area, sitting on in front of low tables on zaisu's. Kie is holding her phone, having dialed her Husband's number and waiting for him to pick up
After a minute it goes to voicemail, "this is Tetsuya, if I'm not picking up, that means I'm busy, leave a message and I'll contact you later" The voicemail says in a very deep masculine voice, before going to voicemail
"Huh, no luck there i guess" Kie says, before shaking her head and canceling the call. "Maybe he's at work solving some crime right now, or in a battle fighting villains" She says, then gets an idea. "Let's go see the news, maybe he's on TV" she says, before the duo head to the TV area
Once there, they change channels until they get into live news. "Hello and good afternoon. This is xxx channels and i am your host today. We just got news of an ongoing villain attack at Musutafu central city! We will now be cutting to the scene"
The scene changes to show a reporter, her mic in hand as she narrates the ongoing fight behind her. "It's been a few minutes now, here at Central Musutafu city where a big battle has been ongoing on xxx street. A duo of Villains, one a giant man whose mutation quirk made him twice as large as before, becoming a 400 cm (13"12 ft) tall giant, the other having an electric-hair type quirk that let's him discharge electricity by motioning his head forward"
Behind the reporter, the scene is ongoing. The Giant villain is swinging his hands forward, trying to swat the few pro heroes on scene, while a man with spiky glowing blue hair, and scared frantic eyes is looking left and right, perched on the shoulder of the giant man, and occasionally motioning his head forth, discharging bolts of electricity at the trying to advance hero.
"It looks like a stalemate for now, but we'll-" She doesn't get to finish her sentence, before from the side, suddenly a blurry figure shots forth and towards the villains. He moves too fast for the 2 villains to react and stops 2 feet infront of the giant
The camera finally catches this blurry figure. seeing who it is, both the reporter AND villains are left speechless!
Wearing a costume entirely in the colors dark red, with black linings dominating the suits sides. The chest plate having a blazing symbol in the color black. His forearm areas being dominated in the same pattern, the sleeves being connected to his middle fingers with the string-like patterns resembling veins on his arms. His chest area is also somewhat protected in a compacted suit in the color red. Having ab pattern designs to them.
He is wearing high boots, not knee high but half of it. Having shoulder pads to help him protect his shoulders better while striking at his enemies. His head is also somewhat protected, his suite covering him till his neck area and from the sides going up until his ears, covering them also.
His skin is white, though on the tanner side. His visage is rough, giving him a perpetual series and no nonsense vibes. His eyes are blazing rubies, with his head being covered in a patch of stylish black hair
"It's... IT'S PRO HERO NUMBER 6, REDVEIN! what is he doing here is Musutafu City??? " the reporter exclains and questions at the same time
The two villains by now are pretty intimidated. Seeing a top ranked hero here to take them down. But you know what they say, a cornered rat will always bite back, no matter the size difference
"GET HIM! " The lightning-for-hair villain yells, prompting for the giant villain to strike out with his fist, –probably weighing a ton, towards Redvein
And in response, Redvein simply raises his right hand, –Reinforced with his quirk, and stops the giant's strike in place! Before his feet the concrete tyles explode!
He stays in place though, not a single inch moved by the blow, casually stopping a blow weighing at least a ton with apparently no effort
He opens his mouth finally, "i would surrender if i were you two" He says in a very serious look, though already knowing his answer
And he gets it once the giant villain retracts his hand before sending a back hand his way. Redvein Dissapears from his spot! Appearing behind the two villains in the air, his fist pulled back, before gravity lets him fall on the two villains
He first strikes the one on the giants back, sending the poor soul flying, not letting him even try to use his quirk, before preparing a sledgehammer strike for the giant villain
The villain though, has time to turn around, seeing as his passenger just got send flying, it doesn't take a genius to figure out where his opponent is
Looking up, the villain sees redvein beginning to descend on him, so he gets into a defensive stance to tank the blow. Seeing as he is much bigger than the hero, believing in his strength to pull through. Unfortunately for the poor dude, Redvein is on another level
In terms of physical strength only, Redvein is second in the whole hero ranking, only behind All Might, –though one shouldn't compare to all might now, because that man's strength is leagues apart, leaving behind a huge gap between the number 2, and number 1 spot
Anyways! Redvein, seeing the villain prepare to defend, let's a little smirk show on his face, his eyes glowing more red, and his quirk, Hemomelt, which allows him to pump heating blood through inside of himself, as well as outside of his body
Redvein's hands are suddenly covered in a thick layer of blood, the blood exiting from the cuts he made in his palms, making the scent of rusted iron tangible in the air. His form begins to smoke a little, with his tan white skin getting a certain glow to them
Now reinforced both inside and outside of his hands, Redvein truely embodies his name, becoming a red, veiny meteor that crashes down on the villain, Crushing him into the floor!
After the fight is over, Redvein checks for anyone injured, and seeing no one, quickly exits, hoping that his family weren't on the news to see him. Because they'd know, the only reason he's in Musutafu, so close to Hinode City than his agency, is because he is visiting
Unfortunately for him though, his family saw him on the scene from start to finish

Author's Note/ this chapter just became WAAAAY too long, so I'll not have a longer Author's note here
Name and surname: Benihana Tetsuya
Appearance and Age: 195 cm (6'4 ft) tall, Ruby red eyes, Straight Black hair, chiselled visage that makes him look sharp, straight nose, serious pointy eyes that gives him a no nonsense attitude. He is 27 years old
Hero Name: Redvein, Number 6 (rumored to be going up the rank in the coming hero bilboard charts ranking)
Quirk: Hemomelt, Allows him to control his blood in any way he wants, but also has the added affect of boiling as well. It's boiling point is strong enough to melt steel
Personality: Quiet, assessive, and authoritative. A no nonsense kinda guy. Though he isn't harsh. And although he doesn't show his harshness or Dissaproval by voice, a one side-look from him, and you wish you could split the earth in two and shove yourself inside
Loves and cares for his family –Retsu and Kie– in his own way, though most of the time he is away because of his pro hero work –especially once he became a top 10
married to Shuzenji/Benihana Kie through an arranged marriage when he was 21 years old and freshly become a pro hero
Kie is 26 years old so that makes Tetsuya 1 year older than her
