Chapter 2 : Mutants
As the foot steps grew louder, A hulking shadow figure approached slowly. A giant
mutated wolf came growling
Kiryu said "Ooh a puppy…I mean dog…I mean wolf….a giant wolf" Akane clutched kiryu's shirt tighter, shutting her eyes very hardly" A giant wolf!? Oh this is bad
really bad!" Haru got closer to the Fire lamp and grabbed it, Swings it close
to the wolf making him scared of fire, it growls loud and goes away. Daisuke says "That thing isn't a wolf that's a whole bizarre creature"
Akane takes a peek "Is it gone? Really gone? Are you sure? Please tell me your sure
please!" Daisuke replies "It's gone Akane-san!" Akane gives a sigh of relief.Akane shivers slightly "What did you mean by bizarre creature Daisuke?" Daisuke replies "That thing was too big and scary looking for a wolf…That's a whole different creature I must say" Akane gets scared pulled kiryu's back collar making him choke "A big, scary looking wolf! What if it comes back What if it
comes when we are sleeping we must leave" Kiryu struggles from Akane's grab
"Hey Akane your gonna kill me before the giant wolf does "
Haru in deep thought "This isn't normal…did the meteor crash made animals evolve? It's
impossible for them to evolve in such a short time…..Maybe it's the virus that shin told us about. That makes sense"
As the people felt quite relieve More footsteps were heard, Four giants wolves came people screamed and ran out of the cave, Haru 's expression terrified "Everyone
our now!" Kiryu finally decided to get serious "Daisuke and akane let's get out of here" Akane looks in horror "Uh no they are gonna eat us" Daisuke says "There is still hope let's go!" They ran out of the cave, Everyone seem to have split in the forest, Kiryu, Akane and Daisuke kept running away from the cave.
"No shot Sherlock that was close" said kiryu. Akane's leg still shivering from
the near-death experience "Oh God I still can't believe we survived that….but
we are in middle of the forest more wolves or even worse monsters could come"
Daisuke looks around "We gotta look for some shelter to stay" He spotted a
small cave "Let's go there" They entered the cave and settled there, Something worse happened a giant spider came from the shadows, Akane faints away by the
horror and Daisuke panics "Oh no kiryu-san what do we do?" Kiryu stands in front of the giant mutated spider "This place filled with bizarre creatures like in Hell's paradise but we can't run all day, we should learn to fight
back! We are animals after all!" Kiryu picked up a stick dashed towards the spider, Spider too ran towards kiryu . Spider raised his one hand which had a sharp pointy end towards kiryu, he dodges it and stabs the stick directly on the head of the spider. Kiryu gets tired and faints away too. Daisuke gives a really
bewildered look "He defeated it….a giant spider with undistinguished features
and it surely looked very strong how did he manage to do that!"
Hour later Akane wakes up clutching her head then looks around "Where is the spider? Is it gone?" Her gaze finds the dead spider and next to it Kiryu sleeping.
Akane gets really confused, Daisuke came back with handful of sticks "oh your
awake akane-san" Akane asks "What happened here?" Daisuke smiles "Confusing
right? Kiryu defeated the spider" Akane replies "Kiryu did?" Daisuke Nods,putting the sticks down "Yeah unbelievable right? He somehow managed to do so."
Akane sits her gaze fixed on kiryu and spider "This guy is something else" She
approaches kiryu shaking him slightly "Hey kiryu wake up" Kiryu rubs his eyes
"What is it? Tanabe?" Akane hits on his head "It's AKANE you idiot! Wake up you
have got some explaining to do!" Kiryu looks at her "What do you mean?" Akane
asks "How did you defeat this spider?" Kiryu looks at the spider "Oh this…I
don't know I noticed I have gotten stronger maybe adrenaline rush?" Akane
replies "Even adrenaline rush can't give you this much strength you dummy…Whatever, we gotta get out of this place somehow" Kiryu sighs "we can't, there are still monsters roaming. Let's just sleep." Daisuke Nods in agreement "Yeah kiryu's got a point we should stay here tonight , we'll see tomorrow. Let's take turns on sleep, I will go first you and Kiryu can sleep"
Akane replies "No, Daisuke we both had fainted away and had our rest, you can
rest we will handle" kiryu shocked "Who's we?" Akane smirks " You and me, will
stay awake" Kiryu defends "I thought we were taking turns" Akane yells "Of course you staying awake with me, what if another spider attacks?" Kiryu was forcefully dragged by Akane" Daisuke gives a nervous laugh "Good night "
Akane sighs and leans towards the wall of the cave "This is the worst, We are still
recovering from that meteor catastrophe and now we are constantly getting
attack by some giant animals and insects, And you kiryu seem to be really calm
in this situation! Aren't you scared?" kiryu giggles and then his expression
turns serious "Scared yeah of course I am, but still don't you think this world
is better than last one?" Akane confused "What do you mean?" Kiryu settles down
looks at the sky "Before there was so much corruption, women weren't allowed to
go out of the house at Night time because of some creeps, So much scamming of
money, robbery and the world was becoming a world of crime but People are so focused on saving themselves and working as a team where as they used to play their role as individually which made a lot different world? I think this new world is safer than last one" Akane's eyes widen and the softens "Your right…..actually I never thought those words would come from someone…especially you." Kiryu smiles "There is a lot of things Akane, There is a lot of things you don't know about
me" Akane giggles "Oh yeah what would that be? Eat ten snacks in ten seconds?
Though I guess I need to know more about you"
The next day as they woke up, they heard strange noises they looked out of the cave
towards the forest and saw many giants creatures roaming "What is this?" Said
Akane, Kiryu looks around "This is bad" Daisuke trembles and points at the sky
"Look one is heading our way!" A giant
mutated eagle head towards the cave, They stepped back and got in the corner,
The cave was too small for the eagle to enter, It's legs trying to grab them. But on time a gun fire hit the head of the eagle killing it completely. Few helicopters came for the rescue. The helicopters had a Three
star logo.
The people with suits exited the helicopter and started rescuing the survivor who
got lost in the forest and good heavens that all the people survived.
Kiryu looks at them with a childlike behavior "Ooo look they are like heroes" A soldier approaches Haru " we are the rescue Squad, We protect people from those Mutants, We give a transmitter to all the leaders to stay in touch whenever needed." The soldier hands him the transmitter "Thanks for your service" Haru watches them go then looks at the
transmitter and mutters to himself "I see shin wasn't lying about the virus, and this thing might be helpful to be honest."Haru declares "Alright everyone we are heading back to that cave" The group members in disbelief. A member says "Are you kidding? What if more monsters come? Haru replies "There is no other place to go, We will leave when the time comes till then we are staying here"
