Chapter 4 : Special Test
Kotaro looks at the sky then at kiryu "Even if it's a army of millions, winning chance only one…Don't stop stand up for your People and fight!" Kotaro looks at his watch "Oh right Its almost time! I gotta go, good luck on the test!"
Kiryu shouts "Hey Dude! What's your name?" Kotaro stops looks at him "It's kotaro! Suzuki kotaro! See you later!"
Kiryu smiles "He just left saying some great things…I wish I come across many people like him."
Finally the day of the special test arrived .
Kiryu enters looks around the bustling lobby "Oh wow! So many!"
The announcer announces "I hope everyone is here now! As we know the amount of Mutants are increasing! We must use our powers and fight! To protect. So we are conducting this test to decide which hero deserves to be which rank!
There will be three tests! First will be fighting small weak Mutants! So get ready everyone!
The door opens! A big room with many Giant red ants. The heroes rushed in
Kiryu grabbed his katana "Alright it's a piece of cake!" But as he said that more ants started to come the door behind him closed Kiryu starts panicking "What in the world! What's this? Solo leveling! I am not Jin woo to handle this many ants! A giant ants leaped on kiryu, the ant goes to bite but he blocked it with his katana! He was quite struggling then a sharp water attack hit the ant. Kiryu gives a big exhale "Thank you" He looks towards the direction where the attack came and shockingly it was Akane standing pride fully "Oh kiryu, never knew you would have needed my help" Kiryu walks away "I take it back!" Akane yells "Hey where the hell do you think your going!" Kiryu grips his katana tighter, thinking "Damn it! If this goes on I might not score well!" He looks around the room and finds many cctv "As I suspected they are watching our every move, I need to make a move before this test ends" He spots a young boy struggling to fight a ant, kiryu seeing the opportunity charges towards the any "That boy is too young he must be traumatized, I should help him" kiryu Swings his katana and kills the ant . The boy bows to kiryu "Thank you thank you Thank you! I thought I was dead right there!" Kiryu looks at him "You shouldn't have come here! It's clearly says people above fifteen should be taking this exam!" The boy replies "I am thirty" Kiryu froze, speechless "...…" The boy looks at kiryu "....umm you okay?" Kiryu regains composure "Oh sorry! Right I have to go fights some ants!" As kiryu said that the first test was over the announcer announces "All the ants have been cleared out". Kiryu froze again "Your kidding me...I just killed one ant among thousands"
After a small break , Test 2 was ready . The announcer says "In test 2, you should rescue people" The door opens revealing a big room with buildings structures, bridge like a real city and fire all around, there are hundreds of puppets across the room which resembles people in danger, There were ants there too
The heroes charged. The water power users tried to calm the raging fire. Some are fighting the mutants and some are rescuing the puppets. Kiryu trying to decide what to do.
Suddenly the model of the building collapses as a Mutants collides with it, It was about to fall on the water power users , Kiryu grips his katana charges at the model "I can't save them! But If I manage to cut off the building…this is ridiculous idea but worth a try!" he leaped high and Swings so hard slices the building into parts, This gave them enough time to run away!" Kiryu well didn't know how to land falls on the ground. Akane approaches "You okay? That looked like a great fall, but hey you saved us" kiryu gets up "Yeah I should probably save the puppets now!" As he said that the announcer announces "The victims have been rescued! You all may proceed to a next test" Kiryu in disbelief "I couldn't save at least one puppet"
In the control room, The mayor shin along with some others members and one of them was Kotaro. Kotaro gives a small smile seeing the test.
The third and the final test began. The battleground
The door opens leading to them to the forest behind the headquarters . The announcers says "There are a lot of Mutants there! Now this is the final and ultimate challenge! Go get them Heroes!
Kiryu grips his sword tighter "I should at least get better in this test or else I have to try next year, but I won't be as motivated as I am now. I will lose confidence and Yep never be a hero"
The heroes charged towards the large forest, All of them are separated and even kiryu is lost.
Kiryu sighs "This forest is quite big and less Mutants I don't think I will ever defeat a mutant in this test" On the other hand, Daisuke who is also alone walking ,shivering "This is bad….I didn't even kill one of the monsters, in the first round I only managed to kill two ants, in the second my powers wasn't needed after all my power is fire and there was fire all around too and now I don't even find one….what if I get left out while others become hero, they expect so much from me and I am just a disappointment" A girl came screaming and hid behind Daisuke "There's a big big mutant it's too strong I cannot beat it" Daisuke turns serious "Alright stay behind! I got this" A giant wolf came growling. Daisuke's eyes widen, thinking "It's a wolf" He remembers one time when a wolf entered their base and Haru managed to scare it away with a fire lamp, Daisuke takes a deep breath "right I can use fire….but there are trees, what if the forest catches fire" He gulps. The wolf came closer and closer, The girl griping Daisuke's shirt tighter. Daisuke clenches, thinking "I am so pathetic! Even though I have a great opportunity I can't do anything, this is ridiculous!" Daisuke fists gets surrounded by fire aura, Daisuke charges his fist with more fire "Control the fire, control the fire. If I keep it controlled I can punch the wolf without causing the forest to get caught in the fire" He takes a deep breath and charges towards the wolf and punches it very hard, making the wolf collide with the trees and it runs away.
Daisuke exhales "He's gone!" The girl surprised "Y-you saved me!" She bowed deeply "Thank you very much!" Daisuke flails his arms "It's okay it's my duty as a hero after all" Girl blushes slightly "M-my name is Aoi kono and I have water magic!" Daisuke freezes "Water magic?!" Aoi Nods, Daisuke falls on the ground "I was so worried that the forest might catch up fire but I could have used your powers" Aoi shouts in concern "Hero-san! You okay?"
Back in the control room. Shin says "Everyone's doing well, It's worth the budget used for making this set" A young man whose name is Kyo " Yeah your right." Then kotaro says "Still no one has found the ultimate mutant" Shin freezes "Don't tell me…" Kotaro smiles "Yep there's a very overpowered mutant in there"
Back to kiryu, who is still walking around trying to find a mutant to kill, "Where are they? I should at least kill one "A loud disturbing roar was heard. Everyone in the forest froze. Kiryu almost drops his katana "What was that?" Kotaro smiles "it woke up". A giant disturbing rhino looking mutant approached kiryu "Oh boy"
