Chapter 5: Special Test part 2
The giant rhino looking mutant stood in front of kiryu. Kiryu gulps "What in the world is that?" The giant mutant charged towards kiryu with its sharp horn, Kiryu jumps sideways dodging it, The rhino collides with nearby stone hill, and it slowly starts breaking down due to the immense power of the rhino mutant.
Kiryu grips his katana tighter but there is a hint of shivering "It's strong….very strong" Kiryu takes a deep breath "Calm down….after becoming a hero there will be more worse enemies to face in the future."
The rhino now charging with even more speed.
Kiryu gasps his eyes widening, "he is too fast!" then he remembers kotaro's words (Even if there is one percent chance of winning…don't stop, stand for your People) "Right what am I doing? Did I forget what I am aiming to do…..After all this Training, After all this hard work am I giving up?" He grips his katana tightly "I can't die yet, not before I complete my dream"
He jumps in the air, out of rhino's reach and Swings himself with the katana and tries to slice off rhino but it's armor was too strong, he lands
The rhino charges at him and gives him a great hit making him fly in the air. He fell right into the trees and on the ground making the impact less painful. Kiryu sighs " That was close" he faints away
Few heroes approached the Mutant rhino. One of the hero who has ice powers freezes the leg of the rhino and another hero with great physical power gave a barrage of punches to the rhino but it's armor still remained unscathed.
It breaks free of the ice and hits the hero away.
The rhino runs away. Hitting many heroes on the way.
Where as our kiryu woke up wrapped in web "What's this?" Then a spider slowly approaches him
Kiryu tried to break out of the web but it was too strong, The giant spider was about to eat him suddenly a strong force caused the webs to break.
Kiryu falls on the ground and the spider was squished to death.
He looks up. The girl who helped him was a beautiful lady with blue hair and uses psychic powers, she says "You couldn't defeat a simple spider? Huh? How can you protect others when you can't protect yourself? Just quit the exam. This place isn't for you" kiryu replies "Thanks for saving and no I am not quitting." She sighs "Your pathetic! What even is your power huh?" Kiryu replies "I got a strength boost, slightly stronger than I usually am." She replies "That's pathetic" Kiryu fumes "What do you mean?! Just because I couldn't kill a spider doesn't mean I am weak" She replies in the same tone "Yes It does!" Kiryu clenches his fists "Oh yeah then how about we fight? Let's see whose stronger?" She replies "let's do it, don't come crying when you lose"
Kiryu charges at her with his katana, She uses telekinesis and shoots a big tree at kiryu" Kiryu slices it with his katana.
In the control room. Shin says "what's is this? Heroes are fighting each other, we should stop them!" Kotaro replies "Nope not yet… I have a feeling that something unexpected will happen"
Kiryu dodges another tree thrown by the psychic girl, he jumps onto the tree and uses it as a path to run and got close to her and As he swing his katana, She uses a strong force that made kiryu smashed through trees.
Kiryu stands up "that blow was strong….I gotta find her weak point, I can try to get in her blind spot" Kiryu ran towards her, Before she could react kiryu changed the direction and got behind her and went for a hit, she smirks and creates a barrier around herself but kiryu swing his katana so hard that made the barrier break and shoot out a strong blow that made kiryu smash to the trees again. The girl gets shocked
She gulps slightly "How did you do that? No one has ever broke my barrier.."
Kiryu heard something and instinctively jumped, The mutated Rhino was charging and ran away.
Kiryu tries to catch up to the rhino "I should stop it before it creates more problems" The girl stops him "You haven't answered me yet!" Kiryu watches it go then a plan forms in his mind "Maybe because I am stronger than you of course" The girl gets angry and shoots kiryu into the air, The force was so strong kiryu used it as a advantage.
He located the Mutated Rhino in the air and finally raised his katana and hit the rhino so hard that it finally breaks its armor and makes it collapse.
The announcer says "All Mutants have been defeated, Now everyone head back to the lobby for the results"
Everyone was speechless thinking who defeated the Rhino that no hero could. The psychic girl flew towards kiryu in shock "You..defeated it?" Kiryu smirks "Nope we did it?" She clenches her fists "We?" Kiryu replies "Yep and the we I meant is teamwork." The girl pauses "Teamwork….." kiryu says "let's go they are gonna announce the results" The girl was quite confused but shook her head and flew away "You confuse me! But whatever our fight is not yet done!"
At the lobby. Kiryu exhaled "At least I defeated one mutant"
Daisuke and Akane waiting called him "Kiryu-kun! Over here!"
Kiryu approached them "Oh Hey there Akane and Daisuke" Akane grins "This test went quite well for me" Daisuke and kiryu sighs "not for me" said both at once. Mayor shin and others come, kotaro waves at Kiryu. Kiryu waves back "It's Kotaro-San!" Haru who stood beside kiryu "You know him?" Kiryu replies "Yeah we met in the training ground" Haru says "Well he is the one who created this Hero society organization" Kiryu pauses "what?" Haru Nods "He gave the plan and Shin initiated it" Kiryu surprised "Well I'll be damned"Shin announces "Hello everyone I have to tell you that scores were decided by your kills count, here it is" A big board showed Row wise Class D, Class C, class B, class A, Class S. And Akane and Haru went to Class B. Some were happy and some were shocked. And Kiryu and Daisuke's name wasn't there in the board. Kiryu looks at his hands "this can't be…." Daisuke puts hand on his shoulder "I guess we should try next year, kiryu-kun." Kotaro steps forward "I have a special announcement to make, we all know that people who didn't get selected are sad, so I want to tell you that the next exam will be five months later so you don't have to worry and one more announcement is that there are two people, Who didn't get selected but They showed what a true hero is….Kiryu and Daisuke they both didn't get selected but instead of scoring by killing Mutants they looked after other heroes in need. Others all saw this as a test but these two saw this as a real battleground and gave their best! So I want to announce that kiryu and Daisuke should be sent to Class A! Kiryu and Daisuke didn't believe what they heard felt like a dream…and both jumped in happiness. They got selected not it's the beginning of their hero journey.
Kotaro says "People who got selected, Welcome to hero society!"
