Uhm so, basically, you might not be able to get how mana works in the story so I'll just explain how mana exactly works.
The threshold is basically the main storage of mana, (more thresholds)=(more mana capacity)
The thresholds can only multiply up to (6 tiers) a 1st tier can go to 2nd tier when mana is increased to the maximum limit of your current threshold, though risky, it's an effective way to forcefully create a new threshold.
When one reaches the 6th tier, the limit of threshold the body can have is capped.
(maximum tier can only be broken when extreme amount of mana spirit enters the soul) (meditating mana into the soul creates mana spirits that can allow the body to develop more threshold than body can actually contain.)
What is Mana spirit?
Mana spirits are the mana in the air that experts compress to their soul, mana spirits are 10 times denser than normal mana.
Once a person cultivate mana spirit at 6th tier, they will mive to 7th tier.
The 7th tier thresholds and above can only store mana spirits.
What are the use of Mana spirits?
- By releasing mana spirits out the threshold, anyone with weaker threshold can pass out just by making contact with the mana spirit since their threshold is unable to contain it.
- Increase in magic power, using the mana spirit instead of ordinary mana is more practical, since the mana spirit is 10x denser, the power it contains is naturally 10x more powerful.
- Mana spirits can revive, create, destroy, rewrite, anything can be done with it as long as mastered.
I guess that's pretty much it, as for the rank scaling I'll explain it below.
In adventurer guilds they refer to color based rankings which are
-Bronze (capable of doing small tasks like chores)
-Silver (capability of slaying goblins and wolfs)
-Gold (capable of killing an army of orc)
-Platinum (capable of slaying greater demons)
-Diamond (capable of slaying calamity class monsters)
In magicians, its a whole different way of classifying their own capability, they refer to Magic Cycles.
-1st Cycle (capable of normal spells)
-2nd Cycle (capable of offensive types of spell)
-3rd Cycle (capability to cause mass destruction)
-4th Cycle (gains ability to manipulate surroundings)
-5th Cycle (gains more control over their mana)
-6th Cycle (capability to place barrier on themselves)
-7th Cycle (magic spells that can eradicate a village)
-8th Cycle (gains ability to create their own spell)
-9th Cycle (capable of creating all types immortality and creating world domains)
-10th Cyle (capable of existence erasure, creation, Awareness, Cognition, and capable of manipulations like Causality, cosmic, dimensional, energy, elemental, biological, destiny/fate, and law manipulation, changing lifeforms themselves.

The Scorch Kingdom has 5 rankings
Which are:

The Kingdom of Raja have star ranking system to differentiate strengths of their men.

Lastly, the holy church with only 3 rankings on their arsenal.

-Holy Knight
As for other countries from other different continents, they pretty much just copy others ranking system.
The demon continent, they pretty much have their own rankings and seniority which are:
-Ancient demon
-Arch demon
-Greater demon
-Noble demon
-Lower demon
Monsters with only four rankings
Low threat= capable of causing slight injuries
Calamity threat= capable of village scale destruction
Catastrophic threat= capable of erasing a kingdom
World threat= capable of destroying the world
Ah also, world skills will be introduced later on, so I'll explain it briefly.
Basically world skills are the skills obtained when acquiring 10th cycle, the world skills are born from a individual's ideals.
For example when you reached the 10th cycle while having revenge as your goal, then you will recieve the suitable world skill for the revenge.
