Chapter 6 - New Companion

"I'm famished, let's head to a restaurant first."

Kalila said with Lodan naturally agreed to.

They both took stole a pirate ship and Kalila used her magic to make the ship move on it's own till they arrive to the next continent.

Kalila went to the storage room of the pirate ship to search for foods, she opened one of the boxes that caught her off guard, a silver haired girl with a green dragon costume was sleeping inside the box.

"Oh, it's the same girl back then, I wonder what's she's doing here."

Kalila was curious so she tickled the silver haired girl that made her laugh loud enough to annoy Kalila.

"Argh! What a loud voice she has."

Kalila furiously pinches the girl, waking her up completely.

"Huh? Have I arrived? W-wait I-it's you."

The girl was flushed with embarrassment.

The silver haired girl kicks Kalila on the face and ran, Kalila furiously chased her all around the ship until she caught her legs.

"Heh, finally got you."

Kalila tickles her legs finding it quite amusing, she smiled like a demon.

"NOOOO!"

The silver haired girl collapsed after a whole minute of tickling.

Lodan who was awakened from the noise went out his room out of concern, only to see Kalila on top of another girl that looked familiar.

Lodan rubs his eyes and looks again.

"Oh that girl."

Lodan sighs and went back to sleep, knowing Kalila can handle it herself.

"What should I do with you Hehe."

Kalila drags the girl to her own room.

She changes her clothes to that of a maid then adds cat ears for the finishing blow, atlast, her masterpiece was complete.

A few hours passed before the girl woke up, Kalila was alerted with her magic, she rushed to see her immediately and have fun.

"Huh."

The girl looked with wide eyes, her attire was so uncomfortable that it made her flushed like a tomato, Kalila who appeared to the scene pulls her to the chair, forcing her to sit.

Kalila held the girl's chin up, their lips was only a few centimeters away from touching.

"W-what are you-"

Kalila blocks her lips from spouting any word and adds a red ribbon tie on her maid outfit.

"There, complete! You look so cute!"

Kalila proudly compliments her work, hugging the Girl out of joy.

"U-uh, Thank you?"

The girl was confused, she slowly swayed out Kalila's grasp and hid in another room while Kalila was hugging nothing at all.

Kalila notices and frowns in disbelief.

"What a shy one, I guess she will open up at some point, tee-hee."

She maliciously grins, planning something devious for the poor girl who can only hide from Kalila's demonic deeds.

In the quiet of the night, a figure moves through the shadows, a silent predator in search of a soul to claim.

With every step, they leave a trail of darkness, a cold wind that chills the bone.

Their laughter is a hollow sound, a mockery of joy, as they revel in the pain they cause.

"And then... RAHHH!"

Kalila screamed her lungs out, scaring the caught girl hiding in the corner.

"Enough! Leave me alone!"

The shy girl angrily fought back, finally chasing her fear away, not.

"Ohoh? My cute maid is talking back now huh?"

The shy girl's fear comes back and backs away.

"Can you not, p-please."

The girl politely asked, almost begging with teary eyes,

Which seduced Kalila who's fond of cute things.

"Heh, sure but if you tell me your name"

Kalila replies as she wipes her drool, approaching the girl slowly

Kalila's touch was as gentle as a summer breeze. She drew the girl into a soft embrace, tucking the smaller head beneath her chin as if shielding her from the world.

Her arms didn't just hold; they offered a quiet sanctuary, her hands tracing soothing, rhythmic circles against the girl's back. In that silence, Kalila leaned in, resting her cheek against the girl's hair, her entire posture radiating a steady, unwavering warmth that whispered she wasn't going anywhere.

"M-my name? My name is Jiji, I told you my name, promise you won't make fun of me anymore."

Jiji fearfully asked, asking for certainty and assurance.

Kalila moved towards Jiji and began to climb on top of her. With deliberate movements, she positioned herself until she was above her.

"Where are you headed to? Let's go on a journey together!"

Kalila politely asks Jiji who was flushed below her, head smoking like steam.

"A-ah, I'm just roaming the world to taste different k-kinds of foods."

She replied with a shy tone.

3 days passed when finally, the Rock Continent was on sight, the Continent where the Ember Kingdom resided, their next location, Then finally.

The weathered wooden hull grated against the pebbles as the keel bit into the shallow shoreline. Frothing white surf swirled around the dragon-headed prow, which loomed high over the wet sand. With rhythmic precision, the ship hauled in the salt-crusted oars, and the heavy linen sail collapsed in a heap of shadows against the deck as ship rose to the surface.

Kalila went to Lodan's room and smacked his head.

"Oy-Lodan, we arrived to the continent you told me about."

Kalila informed as she picks her nose and proceeding to rub it on Lodan's pants, he just stretched and went out to see the surroundings to locate the current location of their arrival.

"Seems like we have to walk from here on out."

Lodan jumps down the ship with his bag and weapons.

"Hey Jiji, come here!"

Kalila approaches Jiji who was still asleep and carries her.

She jumped out the ship while carrying Jiji who just woke up from the sudden action.

"G-give me a break."

Jiji who looked up at Kalila who was carrying her with elegance and grace.

With a slight step, they traveled at lighting speed.

Lodan barely catched up, within minutes they arrived at the Capital city of Ember Kingdom.

In the heart of the Ashlands, Cinderopolis did not merely sit; it flickered. Every household was a spire of stained glass etched in undulating oranges and orange-reds, designed to catch the sun like a flint-strike, otherworldly kind of architecture.

The streets were rivers of amber neon where the citizens moved in silk robes that mimicked rising smoke. The central plaza pulsed with the a fountain of liquid light that cast dancing shadows against the marble canyons. No corner was dark; even the alleyways glowed with the soft, persistent hum of copper-filigree lanterns.

As leaves fell, the city didn't dim—it blossomed into a roaring bonfire of electric blues and searing golds. To look upon it from the dunes was to see a fallen star, still burning, refusing to let the night turn it to ash.

Kalila and Jiji found themselves drowning in a kaleidoscope of electric and eternally searing crimson.

"T-this city is unbelievably futuristic! AMAZING!"

Kalila was astonished and uncontrollably joyous by the wonderful landscapes and landmarks.

However, trouble always ought to come where peace does, the protective sensor detected unknown individuals which warned the city's special armed force famously known as Crimson Paladins.

A formidable force, they stand in a disciplined formation. Their armor gleams a deep crimson, suggesting strength and authority. Helmets with narrow eye slits give them an unyielding, focused gaze.

Above their shields, a dense array of spears points skyward, their tips sharp and ready. They occupied the field with an air of silent readiness, their collective presence creating a palpable tension. To look upon them is to see a well-organized and determined unit.

Jiji passed out once again from intimidation.

On the other side, Kalila who was carrying Jiji, hands her over to Lodan.

She clicks her neck, finger, and every part, warming up for the fun to come.

"Who are you people. What business do you have in our sacred kingdom!?"

The most intimidating man who clearly held the most authority out of the hundred impenetrable army of men stepped up facing Kalila who has to look up with her short stature.

"Good! I like your bravery human!"

Kalila backs away and gets on a ready for combat position, which did not intimidate the leader of the men.

"Are you making some kind of statement that you aren't human? That pointy ears and suspicious hoodie."

The man suspicions came to light, he understood no mercy was needed.

"Then don't hold any grudge in hell if I kill you!"

"Heh, fine by me! Show me what you can do orge face!"

The two clashed, creating a blazing shockwave, the leader stopped underestimating her and immediately switched to a more serious combat style.

Kalila maniacally fought against the paladin's immovable armour of holy light. She moves like liquid shadow, darting beneath the heavy, rhythmic swings of his consecrated blade, her daggers searching for the narrow gaps in his interlocking plate.

The paladin stands like a fortress of gold and iron, each of his strikes carrying the weight of a divine decree that cracks the stone beneath her feet, just then, the paladin had already noticed the gap as he couldn't let the fight go on.

"What lineage of elf were you born from. Not only great magic control but also sword skills at display?"

The paladin puts his spear aside, he no longer desired to fight someone who's better off as an ally rather an enemy.

"Cuz, I'm not an elf. Duh"

"We will let you pass, however the three of you must be interrogated under my observatory."

The paladin sighs and finally allowed them to enter the city with slight conditions, Kalila simply grinned and agreed.
