Tundra called out, "Hye, Namulenza, tell her your tales. I'm sure even someone as despicable as you wants your extremely distant family member to get their memories back. Especially since out of anyone, you'd know best how pained she is to have lost her sense of self."
'Despicable? Me? Tell him I will because of how very much I care about my sweet-old extremely distant family member,' Namulenza told Hirune in a voice that sounded as though she was just crying.
She seemed confused about the voice in her head for a second but nodded, "She says she will."
Tundra nodded, "Good, just rest up for today though, alright?"
Hirune grabbed him by the hand, "I want to go on a walk. Three days is a long time, not just that, but Namulenza can tell me her stories while we walk. Though that means I won't be able to talk to you that much because I'll be mostly in my head."
Tundra nodded, "If you want, but first, go get dressed. I'll lead you to your room."
After Hirune put on a white short dress they started on their walk. Namulenza telling Hirune her former favorite story with a large lump in her throat.
As she told it, Tundra stayed quiet and walked through the town hand in hand with Hirune. Her facial expression shifting every so often as a reaction to her story for a solid hour. Then when she finished her story, Hirune beamed, "I haven't even heard the other ones, but I've decided, this one! This one's, my favorite! Oh, and this Don Quixote book sounds really good, do you know where I could buy a copy?"
'You own a copy already. It's in your old home so just ask Tundra to take you there,' Namulenza responded right before she broke down into tears in her dark and empty throne room. A jester that was entertaining her just a couple seconds before she started telling her tale to Hirune for the thousandth time muttered, "My lobster is too buttery, my stakes too juicy." Which got his head blown off by a simple flick of Namulenza's finger.
Hirune looked at Tundra with hope, "Can we go to my old home? Namulenza says I own a copy of Don Quixote and that I left it there."
'She left her copy of Don Quixote last time? I'm surprised,' he thought, trying to get his head around that. Though he proceeded to brush it off and nodded, "Yeah sure, we can't take too long though. We have some bad people after us." Hirune nodded and got all excited. Swinging her eyes largely back and forth as they walked to her old house.
Once they arrived, Hirune stared at it with wonder. It was painted red and had a small little porch with low walls also painted red around the porch. Black spiky gates erected out of the walls, a part of that gate being openable as long as you had a key.
Tundra walked around the back, leaving Hirune alone for a moment and came back around with a pair of keys, "You showed me this on our way here the first time around. Though I'm not even sure why we didn't just take the keys with us." His words went in through one ear and out of the other, as she was too busy looking up at the plaza above her head.
Tundra opened the gate and door. As they entered the home, she seemed entranced by it, almost as if it was her first time seeing it, "It's so pretty~!" She exclaimed as she looked around for any sort of bookshelf or something. None where to be found.
Tundra walked into her bedroom and looked in the closet, then under the bed, before finally opening the drawer on her small nightstand, the drawer was filled with books, the cover of the one with the most battle scars reading, "Don Quixote."
He pulled out the book and skimmed through the pages, just to see that the pages were all yellowed out and had a bunch of dark marks on them. He stared at it for a moment and called out to Hirune as he sighed, "I found it! But it's not in good quality..."
She rushed over and snatched the book out of his hands, "Let me see--" She paused as her eyes flashed purple for a split second. Seemingly as though a memory had just been retrieved. "Oh, well... Mrs. Escola did tell me I should learn how to take care of books," she said as she stared at the book solemnly. Then she sighed, "Namulenza you said something around the lines of theories and combining artifacts if my memory is serving me right, so... Is there something I can do to fix it?"
'I do have a ton of literary artifact skills, but none of them can fix this because none are chrono literary skills, sorry.'
Hirune nodded, "I understand. Target: Don Quixote to- Forsaken Realm." The book was promptly consumed by a dark cloud and disappeared into the Forsaken Realm.
"I guess I'll have to buy a new copy," she checked her pockets. "Huh?"
"You threw all of your money into the street to stop someone from eating someone else," Tundra said seeing her reaction to her empty pockets. "Don't worry, I'll buy it for you. After all, I owe you a lot after you killed Arachne. I'm going to be honest I wasn't strong enough to defeat her myself."
Hirune instantly declined, "No, it's fine. I'll just save up money to eventually buy it."
Tundra rolled his eyes, "No, I insist. After all, how much can a book cost--" He stared at the price that read '1,000'. He took it to the counter and bought it, "Okay, were going home now, after all, I'm sure you want to read that as soon as possible."
'You're getting soft. Remind me, when was the last time you bought something for someone? Oh yeah, it was when you bought Arachne that earring! You know this is quite rare, you letting your guard down around someone? Oh, I'm going to LOVE when this girl breaks your heart as badly as Arachne did, if not worse,' Cuelebre spoke in his head.
'You talking in my head? That happens one in a thousand years, but do you want to know what isn't rare? You being a bitch every time you do,' he responded as he walked home with Hirune, who was already reading it on the road.
Then she suddenly started walking in another direction. Luckily Tundra noticed and followed her as she kept walking, 'Where is she going?'
Eventually, the reached a large hill, where she tripped and fell on the soft grass. But she didn't stop reading and just laid there, right next to a stone with a small sword stuck in it. Tundra walked over to the sword and tried to pull it out, but failed, 'What in the King Arthur?'
Hirune turned back hearing him straining to pull out the sword. She sighed and put the book string between the pages and closed it, holding it under her arm, she stood up and casually pulled out the sword, "This thing? I remember this clearly surprisingly enough. Namulenza gave it to me once while she was wine drunk on a Tuesday. Let's just say she regretted that after I plunged it into this exact stone. You see, while she was still a queen, she'd cursed this stone so that if anyone accidently or purposely stuck their sword in it, it would be like King Arthurs sword. The only person that could pull it out being her or someone related to her. But because that time it was someone related to her that plunged the sword into the stone, she couldn't pull it out and only I could."
Tundra sighed as she put the sword back in the stone and went back to reading. He sat with his back to the swords flat side and looked around, expecting to see a peaceful view. Instead, what he saw was a view of two titans fighting in the ocean.
