Chapter 24 - Aftermath? [3]

"Windmill, windmill for the land~

Turn forever hand in hand~ Take it all in on your stride~

It is ticking, falling down~ Love forever, love freely, turned forever, you and me.

Windmill, windmill for the land. Is everybody in?~"

Ken was singing one of his favourite songs ever… while literally charging the meteorite with his mana.

"Hey, Sooyoung. Do you know any way to avoid Newton's third law?"

He looked at Han Sooyoung, who was also doing the same thing. She looked at Dokja, who was sleeping soundly, then looked at Ken, clearly done with him.

Dokja apparently had really low points in mana, even though he nearly maxed out every other stats. Which is pretty bullshit. And with that excuse, he only did his job for one hour, and told them to do the rest, since they have a higher amount.

He even gave them some mana recovery potions just in case. According to him, it would take ten hours of continuous charging in order for it to complete. And the reason Ken and Han Sooyoung are doing it together is simply because doing it together will be twice as fast.

She looked at Ken for a while then kept doing her job without answering him. When Ken asked the same thing again, her response was simple.

"It's impossible."

Ken also knew that it was pretty much impossible, but he wanted to try it, since that would not only double the force of his attacks, but also make it so that he doesn't take any damage from his own attacks.

"Since this is a fantasy world, it should be possible, no?" Ken asked again.

Han Sooyoung looked at him again, and said, "Maybe. I don't know, since a third rate author made TWSA, it might be possible."

"Hmm… I think it is possible as long as telekinesis exists, right?

Telekinesis allows one to move objects through a magical force. So, with an insane degree of mastery, one should be able to move energy, force, and abstract concepts like that.

Then, they can simply redirect the force that came back to them when they punched something, using that. So, technically, wouldn't it be similar to ignoring it?

And, since the force that was supposed to come to me has been redirected, then it would mean that the opponent, or whatever that was attacked, will experience twice as much force."

While Ken was ranting all that, Han Sooyoung was calmly hearing his explanation. After he was finished. She simply says one word.

"Nerd."

Both stayed quiet for a while, just doing their job. Then Ken suddenly starts again.

"Hey, did you know that science can technically prove that god exists? Even though atheists say it can't." He had a hint of excitement in his voice.

"Shut up. I don't want to hear anything." She replied in an annoyed tone. Though, he keeps going on anyway.

"Hey, you have to hear this one out!

Since the universe was created after the big bang, and time, space, everything came after it. So, what was the big bang again? Supposedly a large thing containing absurd mass, which somehow exploded and created the universe.

Now here's the catch. How did it exist when nothing existed? Okay. Even if it did, what was the reason it exploded? As you might know, everything needs a reason to happen, nothing is random, or can happen without a cause. You know, the thing saying, everything has a cause and effect?

So, if it exploded and created the universe, then that must mean something triggered it. Meaning, whatever that did that, indirectly would still be god, no?

Since the very concept of god is that they are the creator–"

"Can you please shut the fuck up?! I just can't fucking take it anymore!" Han Sooyoung cut him off in the middle of a sentence.

"... But what I was saying made sense… and I was trying to explain it in a way so that an atheist can understand it…" Ken only replied in a sound, barely above a whisper.

After that, they didn't speak for about an hour. Meaning, it has already been three hours since they started charging the meteorite. Meaning they only have one and half an hour left.

"Hey, Sooyoung." Ken called her out again. And this time she started ranting about why she doesn't want to hear him out and what not. But when she looked at his face, he seemed actually really serious.

"Have you ever thought if this world is fake?"

"... What are you trying to say?"

As the atmosphere became more tense, he started again.

"Have you ever thought, if this world is inside a novel? Like… if this world was made by some real people, and we are fake?

Since fictional characters would actually be fake in a sense." Ken looked at Han Sooyoung, who was not only tense, but also in deep contemplation.

"Hey, hey. Haha, why are you taking it so seriously? I was just joking." He naturally shrugged it off like it was actually nothing.

[Han Sooyoung has used Lie detection (lvl 1).]

[Poker face (lvl 1) has neutralised the effect of Lie detection (lvl 1).]

Seeing the message, Han Sooyoung looked at Ken, who was back to doing his job. Seeing her staring at him, he only looked at her and lightly smiled.

Though, he really is someone who doesn't know how to smile… and looks really ugly because of that.

That was the thing that was going on from the perspective of Han Sooyoung. But on the other hand, Ken also got the notification. Since at the end of the day, he had the poker face, which resisted detection type skills. Since Sooyoung used exactly that, it resisted, and sent a message to Ken.

Ken was thankful that people will have a harder time to find out the truth, even if he indirectly tells them. Which means, they can really know it, when he really wants to tell them about it.

But at the same time, he was a bit hurt. Since the skill cost quite a fortune. Just 20,000 coins, decent numbers, right?

After charging the meteorite for another hour and an half. The meteorite started to show signs of crack, which is why Sooyoung called Dokja, waking him up.

As the cracks started getting bigger and bigger, a burst of light appeared, and the front of the meteorite completely collapsed.

[For the first time in the scenario, you have met a being from another world.]

[Affinity towards other world species has increased.]

[You have earned 2,000 coins for your achievement.]

After the blinding light came to an end, a giant humanoid wolf came out. Looking a lot like a werewolf, but also different in many ways.

"Is it time already? I'm from one of the five ruling species of chronos. I am the great first wolf."

He was bigger, way bigger than a werewolf. Likely three or so meters. And a more elegant look compared to them. And just from the look, one could tell that he is strong.

"I am Imyuntar, Lycaon."

While Lycaon was giving his introduction to Dokja, and having a conversation. Ken saw that Han Sooyoung was looking for something in the dokkaebi bag.

When he asked it, she simply answered by. "Why are you asking that? Don't you also need the other world interpretor?"

Just then, Ken realized one thing. The thing called, inter dimensional translation existed in ORV, but it was not for free. But in specific situations, with specific skills and scenarios. Not for free. But even then, he could understand every character that the protagonist, Dokja could understand in ORV.

Meaning… 'I really am a dumbass.'
