Jay's POV
I did not how I ended up here that to at 10 in the morning, contemplating whether to ring the bell or not, that is when the door opened suddenly and I was shocked to see the person in front of me, it was Keifer and I don't know what takes over me, I just hug him by throwing my hands over his neck because of missing him and not knowing what has happened and to finally see him it made me at peace and obviously he is shocked by my action and I think he took a minute to realise that it was me who was hugging him.
K: " Jay? , How did you come here?, is everything alright?"
J: " NO, why can't you just inform and leave, are you that busy to even leave a message or take a call, you know how worried I was, one whole day you disappeared without any contact, Did you know how scary it was, I kept overthinking that something bad might have happened to you!" I yelled at him
K: " Jay, I am really sorry- and we were interrupted by someone who was old enough to be his Dad
Kiefer's Dad: "Kief, who are you talking to outside", He comes outside and is confused by looking at us and that is when Kiefer introduce us to each other
K:" Dad this Jay, my friend" "Jay, this is my dad" he smiles at me and back at Kiefer in a teasing manner and I don't understand why and I also still don't know the emergency for which Keifer came here
K's Dad: "Come in and talk guys"
K:"Ahn. Jay come in, lets go inside and talk" and all of us go inside and settled down in the couch and his dad leaves us alone understanding us
J:"So, tell me why did you leave without informing any of us?" I ask him with a light threat in my voice
K:"First of all, Sorry Jay for leaving without informing and I will make sure that never happens again because I don't want you to worry and the reason why I came here is going to sound silly but I am sorry for that too, So I came here because my parents pulled a prank on me saying that my mom was really sick and while leaving I left in a hurry , So I was not able to inform anyone but on my way here I accidently dropped my phone and it stopped working and when I finally reached home only I realized that my mother was not sick they just wanted to spend some time with me, So they pulled this prank so I would come home immediately and I just gave my phone for service yesterday evening, it is still with them. So I was not able to contact you, even though I wanted to because I do not know any of yours numbers so I thought maybe I could inform you guys today when my phone arrived . "
J:"So, your parents just pulled a prank on you just to spend some time with you" I asked in utter shock
K:"Yeah, they are kind of crazy but it is one of the qualities that I love about them, but honestly I didn't think you would notice I was gone, I thought maybe you will call me a few times and leave it but I totally did not expect you here, 3 hours ride from our University' and it honestly makes me happy to think I mean this much to you" he said with sincerity in his eyes
I stuttered not knowing what to say but I thought , It is true that he means more than a friends to me but why? I questioned myself
K:"How did you travelled here and how did you find my address"
J:"I came by bus and Sara helped in finding your address"
K:"Jay, but it really difficult to travel by bus, you could have taken the train"
J:"But the train only leaves in the afternoon and I wasn't able to wait that longer" I blurted out
K:"So you did miss me "
J:"No, I was just worried and now that I see you are okay, I am leaving" I was about to get up that is when is parents entered the living room
Keifer's Mom: " you are Jay right?, You just came now why are leaving right away?"
J: " Yes aunty, I just came because Keifer left without informing any of us and I just wanted to check in if he was okay, So I thought maybe I can leave now."
K's M: " Sorry,It is partly our fault why he came without informing any of you, and I just happy Keifer has already made friends who check in on him." She said emphasising on the friends with a teasing smile
K's D: " Jay, since you came all the way here come let's have breakfast and no there option of denying" I had no option but to just agree and join them I settled beside Kiefer and his parents opposite to us.
K's M : " So Jay, Kief said you both are in the same class, how is behaving there dear."
J : " He is fine but don't know what happens sometimes he just crazy and do something out of the box"
K : " That is totally their fault, I am raised like that."
K's M: "Jay, what are weekend plans? Are you visiting your parents?"
That question kinda stung me because I moved out of my house just be away from them so I reply, " No aunty, I will just return to my dorm"
His parents looked at each other and said "Then maybe you should just stay here for the weekend dear."
