Jay's POV
We went to his car and and finally he answered all my questions that we were going to get his phone and the mall for shopping.
I was a little embarrassed when he said the number of texts and calls he had received from me but I couldn't help it and I just shrugged it off by smacking him.
When we reached the mall, he said we came shopping for my clothes for the weekend stay, To be honest even I didn't think about it and admired him for being so thoughtful, the we finished our shopping and went to get ice cream and it was really that we were able to sit and talk happily after the tester events.
Then we returned to his car, I thought we would be heading home but he said he was taking me somewhere special, When we finally reached it was beautiful beach and the best part was it was empty, I jumped from the car and went near the waves and started playing and splashing water at him and that is when he suddenly pulled me into a hug, I was surprised by his actions but what surprised me more was I hugged him back because of yesterday's happenings I understood that he means so much to me than I thought and thought that something bad might have happened to him did not sit with me well, I knew I needed this hug and I did not want to pull away and we stayed like that for a while before returning to the car.
Then we returned to his home and Kiefer showed me room and I went in and took a shower and quickly changed into the clothes that we brought and I opened the door and went out and Kiefer also came in the same time. We both smiled at each other and went downstairs and joined with everyone for dinner. We settled down in the dinner and his parents started talking, joking and bickering with each other and honestly they were really cute
That is when I noticed Kiefer and he was laughing and admiring his parents and that when I realised why it was so easy for him to talk with others and love others easily and he grew up in a place that is filled with love, unlike me he was brought with love and he was easily able share that with others.
A tiny part of me envied him but I couldn't help but admire him. Now, I know why it is easy and natural for him show love and care.
Kiefer's Dad: "I thought you guys will stay here and spend some time with us but you both left us alone and enjoyed" he said with a sulk
J: "It was all Kiefer fault uncle, he was the who dragged me along with him"
K: "Excuse me we went for shopping for your clothes"
Kiefer's Mom: "Whaterver guys, you guys are spending tomorrow full day with, I thought we could do a movie night tonight but you both look tired so you guys rest because tomorrow we have the whole day planned"
Kiefer and I nodded at his mom's word in agreement, After dinner we went upstairs to our room to retire sleep after saying good night.
I settled in my bed and tried to sleep but I couldn't and turned around trying to sleep, but couldn't and went out when noticed light coming from Kiefer's room.
I gentle knocked his room , he opened in a minute
K: " Jay?" " Do you need anything?"
J: "Were you sleeping? Did I disturbed you?"
K: "No I was just arranging my room and I wasn't asleep and I wouldn't mind if you disturbed me also" he said with a smile
J: " I wasn't getting any sleep, I notice lights was still on in your room"
K: "Come in"
I went inside and noticed his room, it was really nice, I notice his medal and photograph and I took one where it was a picture of two kids and I recognised one was Kiefer and asked him " Who is the other kid ?"
He seemed to be little stiffened by my question but answered " He was my baby brother"
J: " Was ?"
K: " Yeah, he died when I was 6" he said swallowing a lump in his throat and I noticed his face was showed saddness
J: " I am sorry"
K: " It's okay"
I kept the photograph in the place and moved the next one, I was about to take it Kiefer came running behind me to grab that photo in my hand but I quickly took that photograph and started running on his bed and around his bedroom for a while and finally sat when our breathe finally gave up
J : " Kiefer is this cute little girl you?"
K: " My mom really wanted a daughter but she was not able to so she used to dress me up a girl and take photos"
J : " Wow you are so cute"
K : " and you know the worst part is she used to change my name to Kenny"
I laughed and replied, " You are really pretty Kenny" I said looking at the picture
K: " Jay please give it back, it honestly embarrassing"
Before I could reply a sound came from my stomach indicating my hunger
K: " Jay are you hungry?"
I just nodded at him, he smiled and said " Come let's go downstairs and get something"
We both went downstairs quietly, he went inside the pantry came back with 2 cup noodles and 2 chocolate bars and face grew into a smile seeing them
K: " Come let's go upstairs and have them"
J: " Why, we can just have it here"
K: " If my parents woke in middle and see us having midnight snack it would turn into a full on lecture or a full blown party, We cannot take the chances, let's go to my room there is kettle in my room and we can watch a movie in my laptop"
J: " Okay, Done"
And we moved to upstairs and went to his room.
