Kiefer's POV :
I finally sat down in the dining table and we started eating and chatting and that is when Jay asked, "Aunty is there any photo album of Kenny?"
K: " Jay, No"
Kiefer' Mom: "Indeed there is but how did you know about Kiefer the Kenny?" She asked her
J: " I saw the picture of him in his room"
M: "Well then finish your breakfast soon, I have many albums of embarrassing pictures of Kief to show you"
J: " Ohhh I am done"
K: " this is not fair you guys are ganging upon me"
Kiefer's Dad: " everything is fair in love and war kid and this the love we have for Kenny"
K: " My own family is Plotting against me"
And everyone settled down in the living room and started going through my embarrassing album and having fun meanwhile I am sitting there feeling embarrassed in front of my girl.
J: "Aunty is this Maybay day care ?"
M: "Yes dear we used to live there before we moved here."
J: " This is me in this picture, sitting next to Kief"
I sprinted from place and quickly took a look at the photo, It was me as baby and I was looking at the baby girl beside and smiling while holding her and it turns out to be My baby girl ✨
M: "Wow, you both are truly destined to meet I guess"
When my mom said Jay and I exchanged looks and smiled at each other
Jay smiled and said, " Maybe" and it meant something more than that
I thought " Yes, Mom she was truly destined to be mine, what a beautiful invisible string that has been connecting us, huh I just wished we did not move from that place, then maybe Jay would have been mine sooner"
After that we started playing Board games which I was pretty sure that my dad cheated and after that we planned to have Lunch and watch some movie.
Author's PoV
The movie started and within a few minutes Kiefer and his dad dozed off and it was Jay and his mom.
M: " If you want go upstairs and take rest dear."
J: " No, aunty it is fine, What are you going to do?"
M: " I am going to bake something for you guys"
J: " Can I help ?"
M: " Ofcourse"
J: " But I should warn you I know nothing about baking"
M: " It's fine dear I will teach you"
We both went into the kitchen, Kiefer mother made all the necessary things and asked me to whip the batter, I thought it was easy job when I started doing it I realised it was hard and hands started paining but I did anyway and after that I gave them to she asked me set it aside and wait for few minutes
M: "Jay, did you tell your parents that you are staying here"
Jay hesitated a little bit and started, "Actually they don't really take interest in what I do"
M: " What are you saying dear?"
J: "they always felt like I am some kind of burden that they needed to be taken care"
M: " Jay, I am sure that's not true"
J: " They haven't once checked on me since I joined the college"and just like that tears started falling
M: "oh dear come here" Kiefer's Mom came and hugged tightly and patted my back and wiped my tears
M: "Jay, I have known you only for few hours but still within that time I can say that you are special and I really mean it, I mean by the way you panicked something happened to Kiefer and came all the way here just to check on him, says that you care about the people you love and it is your parents fault that they are not able to see that"
Jay smiled at her words
M: "You know what I am going to call you here after and ask you updates, Now you are stuck with us"
Jay laughed along with Kiefer's Mom and hugged her
J: " I don't usually share about this to anyone but with you and Kiefer, I don't know what happens I automatically start saying everything in mind"
M: "Jay we will always be there for you and that's a promise, now you are part of the family now"
M: " Now come on let's pour this batter in the cupcake mould and set them in the oven"
J: " Okay"
They set everything and keep it in the oven and Jay starts starring at his mom like wanting to ask something
M: " Jay do you want to ask something?"
Jay looks at her ask, "How do you and uncle make relationship look easy"
Kiefer's Mom laugh and says, "It looks easy because we love each other and even if it becomes difficult all you have to do is just hold onto each other"
Jay nods and Kiefer's mom add, " Maybe you will find Love like this soon" Just as she finished that sentence Kiefer showed up as if it was a sign
K: " What smells so good?"
