I'm just going to make it so caught and tamed pokemon will be able to instantly understand the MC as the system classifies them as his Pokemon.
Also the MC doesn't have a name so you can call him whatever you want though he does have an official look that will be shown when he gets better clothes later.

The roars I heard in the distance, but as this wasn't my problem I just kept fishing alongside Venipede.
I rubbed Venipedes head, "Don't worry Venipede, it seems to be way off in the distance from us so we should be fine." I said reassuring it.
"Veni…." It murmured while it enjoyed having her head rubbed by me while I kept on fishing.
Meanwhile Misdreavus, Buneary and many other wild pokemon heard that massive roar which caused many to scatter in fear.
"Dr-Drevus…."
"Bun-bun…."
Both seemed rather scared hearing that roar as well, but the soon realized it was closer to where master was at than it was to them.
They were worried but they were given a mission so they went to complete it, besides they weren't too far so if they heard me shout they would know to come back and so they kept on foraging which was easier since the rest of the pokemon had fled.
Meanwhile I kept fishing, actually getting fish to bite before reeling them in and putting them in the new makeshift basket after I smacked them with my club to kill them.
This kept going for awhile, put on some berry bait, cast the line, get a catch and bring it back, rinse and repeat.
Surprisingly it was really easy to catch fish this way, unlike in the modern era where fishing would take time just to even catch a single fish, I was catching one every few minutes.
*ROOOOOAR!!!*
Though the rawring still could be heard in the distance, "Are they fighting? And if so what's fighting each other for what?" I couldn't help but ask.
Wild pokemon both in modern times and here in this primal era would fight over food, territory and finding a mate, however in this Primal Era the Law of the Jungle reigned supreme, both in the original sense of the definition, where you take care of your pack and the pack takes care of you in return along with not over hunting any specific pokemon or food, but the more common version where your survival matters most of all for those pokemon that have no pack to call their own.
But I kept fishing and not long later Misdreavus and Buneary came back with a basket filled with various berries while I filled up my basket full of fish for the day.
"Alright, I think it's best we head back, I don't know what's going on out there but I don't want to have to deal with it." I said which they all nodded in agreement, luckily it seems after they officially became my pokemon they could fully understand me with no issues.
Though as we were about to leave the bushes on the other side of the river before the bushes opened up to reveal a small pokemon who appeared hurt.
"Pu….. Pupi…." It muttered as it reached the water before falling down near the other side of the river from us.
"A Pupitar? What's it doing above ground and hurt?" I mutter seeing the out cold Pupitar.
"Bun-Bun!" Buneary bounced up and down before pointing at the down Pupitar.
"What? You saying we should help it?" I ask to which she nodded making me rub my head.
Well it's not very hard to take care of a Pupitar as in this form until it's final evolution of Tyranitar it mainly eats rocks and minerals for food.
Luckily the river wasn't wide and their was a path to go across nearby, so I got up and made my way across before reaching the downed Pupitar.
"Poor little guy, whatever happen really thrashed it badly." I muttered as I lifted up Pupitar and carried it back before Buneary and Misdreavus carried the baskets on our way back to our cave home.
Soon enough we made it back to the cave as we put Pupitar down on the ground, it was covered in wounds that scabbed over by now but was still hurt pretty bad.
Pupitar mainly ate rocks and minerals for food but it doesn't mean it can't eat normal foods like berries as well, so after using some sticks to cook the fish we caught, I helped pick up Pupitar as I placed a Oran Berry in its mouth.
"Pu….?" It slightly opened its eyes as it hazily looked up at me.
"Just eat and rest, your safe now." I said to it as it slowly lifted its arms to it mouth and slowly began to eat the Oran Berry as it slowly began to heal its wounds to the naked eye.
I placed it down on a leaf nest and went out to grab more leaves for Venipede as Pupitar was sleeping on its old bed.
'Man, I know the system can store pokemon, but I wanted to fight with pokemon like in the modern era with pokeballs, but I don't know how to make pokeballs.' I thought to myself only to suddenly hear a chime in my head.

Hearing that made me smile, so it wants me to make a team before making it possible for me to forge my own pokeballs.
And it said Hisuian Pokeballs in particular and those Pokeballs were from the game Pokemon Legends: Arceus and I played it back in my old life whenever I had time when the game was new so I remembered what was needed to make a basic pokeball.
I just need Apricorns, which were like giant sized Walnuts, and Tumble stones that could be gathered from certain rock outcroppings that could be found in the wild.
Seeing this I knew I needed to tame more pokemon and I just found myself my fourth pokemon, though I do hope it would join willingly as it would probably take all of my pokemon together to make it fall in a pokemon battle and I just don't want to get them hurt if I can help it.
But it all depends upon how Pupitar feels after it heals itself up.

I should note this isn't going to be an instant smut story like all my others as it's a slow build up kind of thing, they need to spend time with him for a time before they willingly see him as their mate/pack leader and master so you'll have to give it some time before the sex begins.
