After leaving our home I began the journey around the cliff side and half an hour later we came upon the valley where we had found Tinkatink.
"Tink! Tink!" She waved her rattle while pointing at the ore nodes nearby, but I patted her head.
"Not now, we need to find us a fire pokemon friend and then we can make metal ore that would be easier for making your hammer." I tell her to which after thinking about she nodded and we continued on our way.
Though I didn't know if it was because of the system or what, but pokemon wouldn't go out of their way to attack me which with this being a Primal world, or I assume it is one, I should constantly be in danger but so long as I didn't go out of my way to annoy or antagonize any pokemon they wouldn't suddenly try and attack me.
Take the Tyrantrum incident when I arrived in this world, I should be dead no question about it, but it saw me and left me alone, so if I do have a protection provided by the system I need stronger pokemon to keep me safe less my protection disappears one day.
But it was unknown if that was true or not, however I will use this time to capture and take more pokemon, maybe find that Machamp family I met a few weeks back and tame them to help build a safer home in the cliff side and later build a much larger home on the plains, but for now I'm in search of a fire type pokemon.
"Now what fire type pokemon would be good for melting ore?" I asked but basically any fire type would be in a forge but I'm thinking of one who would just make its home in the forge and mostly want to stick there.
It's unfortunate I haven't found any water types nearby our home, though I knew there's a marshland if you follow the river south so maybe I could find some water pokemon down there later.
But first things first, help find a fire pokemon to forge metal for both Tinkatink and myself so I will have weapons to defend myself on the off chance I need it.
So we began to scale the mountain areas where we saw some geodudes either floating or rolling themselves into each other with a fewer gravlers and golems here and there who were either milling about or fighting each other for dominance.
Some were genuinely fighting to the death either because they didn't like each other or because of a mate I wasn't certain, but I left them alone.
As it was still roughly mid-spring in this world it was around the time animals and pokemon went into heat and fought each other for mates, this would go on until the early parts of summer though the younger pokemon wouldn't feel this way as they weren't old enough or just didn't desire it at the time.
So avoiding the many death matches I saw we both went higher up which instead of getting cooler the top of the mountain we were climbing was noticeably bare, "A volcano? I guess it won't be hard to find a fire pokemon then." I said as we kept moving on.
"Ma! Ma!"
"Car-go!"
"Ves-ta!"
As we cleared a ridge what I saw surprised me, a small group of three with two Slugma and one Magcargo were arguing(?) with a Larvesta.
There was a small pool of Lava nearby that the Slugma and Magcargo were guarding while Larvesta was stomping its small feet on the ground.
"Vest! Vesta!"
"Car-go!"
While I couldn't understand what Pokemon were saying it wasn't hard to tell the Larvesta wanted some of the Small Lava pool for itself but the Magcargo and the Slugma were having none of it.
They looked ready to fight but Magcargo acted first before a purple glow surrounded its body and many rocks floated up into the air around it.
"Wait, that's ancient power!" I couldn't help but exclaim at the sight of the Pokemon Move Ancient Power, which slightly boosts the Pokémon's stats but also, based on the Pokemon, launches a barrage of stones, like Magcargo here, or uses I white sphere to attack for other Pokemon.
But having no time to react Ancient Power was launched straight at Larvesta while I grabbed Tinkatink and held her tight after ducking back behind the rocks we just went around.
*Bang! Bang! Bang!*
*Woosh!*
I could feel the rocks smashing into the ground before I saw the small Larvesta tumble past us before weakly collapsing to the ground with no energy to get back up.
"Rock type moves are extremely effective son Larvesta…." Though seeing this as an opportunity I decided to pull out a pokeball and walking over to the out cold Larvesta.
"Sorry about this Larvesta, though you might thank me for healing you later." I said before pressing the pokeball against its unconscious form and letting it fall onto the ground as the pokeball sucked the Larvesta inside.
*Shake! Shake!*
*Shake!*
*Pop!*
"Nice, I caught a Larvesta." Though what I did would be considered a dirty tactic in the modern world I didn't much care as survival was all that mattered to me so I'll do whatever I have to in this world.
Luckily Magcargo and the Slugma didn't come over to see if they finished the Larvesta off and went back to their lava pool.
And while a Magcargo would be the best for helping with making metal, there were other Pokemon that would do better but on their own wouldn't work so great until now.
"Let's head back down to the base of the mountain Tinkatink." I said to which she cheered while shaking her rattl hammer.
With that we took the trip down the mountain and too the area once again where the metal ore were, but this time I turned my attention to the other pokemon found in this ore node as there was another cave nearby but one I didn't go into because pokemon resided in it.
"There it is." I say as I see the pokemon I'm looking for munching on some nearby grass it got stuck in its one wheel like leg.
A Rolycoly a small coal like pokemon that is great for starting fires and especially for running forges with its coal body.
"Roly?" It saw us approaching and seemed confused as I knelt down and handed an two Oran berrys over to Tinkatink.
"See if you can convince Rolycoly over there if they will join us? Because they will be a major help in making your hammer." I said to her as she held the large Oran berries in her hand.
"Tink!" She raised her rattle hammer like scepter as she understood what to do and went over to Rolycoly with an Oran Berry.
So she went on over to talk to the Rolycoly, "Tink! Tink!" She said while handing Roly a Oran Berry.
"Roly?"
"Tink!"
"Roly!"
They began to talk with each other while the Roly began to eat the Oran berry all while Tinkatink excitedly talked about her hammer and she needing Rolycoly's help in making it.
"Roly? Roly." (You want me to help make your Hammer? But I have all the food I need around the cave I live in.)
"Tink! Tink!" (Yes! As for food master is really nice and we never have to go hungry! Not only that but we have a Pupitar who is expanding our cave all the way to this side of the cliff so we wouldn't be far from your cave in the future so you could easily come back here!)
"Roly?" (Really?)
"Tink!" (Of course!)
"Roly, Roly!" (Well if what your saying is true, then sure I will come along with you guys!)
"Tink!" She started to jump up and down excitedly before she and Rolycoly came back over to me.
"Tink! Tink!"
"Roly!"
I patted Tinkatink's head, "Goodjob, and thank you Rolycoly for coming with us." I say before pulling out a pokeball and explaining what it does to them.
"Roly!" Hearing this it seemed interested and tapped its body against the pokeball before it was sucked on inside.
*Shake!*
*Pop!*
"Nice, alright Tinkatink, let's head back home and introduce our new friends to their new home." I said hoisting Tinkatink back onto my shoulders as she excitedly swung her rattle hammer.
Finally it was soon going to evolve is all it could think and was deeply grateful for having such a great master.
