Chapter 7 - Giants (7)

"Gegyagyagyagya!"

Kairo's brow furrowed. Huh?

He was in the middle of working out when he heard that sound — the sound of weird laughing.

Then, the world shook, over and over again.

Kairo felt something was off. The earth wasn't supposed to shake like this.

"Gababababababa!"

The fuck was that sound? It sounded like clashing.

Deciding to spread his wings, he would flap them a bit, trying to go where he heard the sound.

Only to fall immediately back to the floor.

"Oh yeah... I haven't learned flight yet," he would say groggily. He had the wings, he just couldn't fly yet. He tried, oh god he tried.

But he kept failing, so unless some plot-induced nonsense happened or HIS LIFE WAS ON THE LINE, flight wasn't something he would get anytime soon.

Oh well, time to do it the good old way.

He would begin dashing toward their direction, using Body Flicker, which was basically Soru — moving at superhuman speed, his flame off and all.

Arriving at a cliff edge, he would see it.

Two giant creatures faced off against each other.

The first was a well-built giant with a long beard. His attire resembled that of a Viking, complete with a helmet that obscured his eyes.

He was so large that Kairo could fit in the palm of his hand. This formidable figure wielded an enormous sword — a truly impressive weapon.

The opponent he fought against was also a giant, dressed in distinctive Viking attire. He wore a red overall with golden button straps, fur linings, and a leather strap crossing over his right shoulder.

Around his waist was another leather belt, and he sported yellow pants with black stripes and fur linings at the bottom, along with yellow shoes. His red helmet featured two prominent horns. This giant had a blond beard shaped like an axe blade, beady eyes, a wide grin, and a pig-like nose.

This said man was wielding a sword... a big-ass sword.

They would clash, over and over again.

The power behind each strike amazed him. The blows felt more powerful as he looked at the scene. From the corner of his eyes, he could see...

He could feel it — his senses could pick up on something he couldn't see.

Coating their weapon, there were two sorts of energy. As they clashed, he could tell they were doing a lot of damage to each other.

Inside of him, he knew that this was the power of Haki. His eyes glistened as he watched the two giants fight. For six consecutive hours, non-stop, they clashed. They had stamina to go for days, and even if he was like 9 feet tall, compared to them, they were still giants.

The guy he was fighting meanwhile was a giant who dressed in Viking attire — red overall with golden button straps, fur linings, a leather strap around his right shoulder and another as a belt, yellow pants with black stripes and fur linings at the bottom, yellow shoes, and a red helmet with two horns. Brogy had a blond beard shaped like an axe blade, beady eyes, a wide grin, and a pig-like nose.

"Gababababababa!"

"60 thousand duels," one of them would say.

"60 thousand draws," the other would reply. Their bodies would fall on the ground, clearly exhausted, yet they would smile.

They even began to laugh.

"Gababababababa!" ×6

"Gegyagyagyagya!" ×6

They seemed to be having the time of their lives.

Kairo was curious. They were giants — one of the only other races with maxed-out Haki potential — so he decided to walk toward them.

Using his speed, he managed to appear in front of them.

"Hello," he said, waving his hand. You know, he wanted to have a good first impression. His wings were still behind him, tucked in such a way that if you didn't pay attention, you wouldn't see them.

His wings twitched as if the thought of being hidden from the world did not please them.{chapter 90]

And currently, his flames were off for obvious reasons.

One of them would look at him, the one with the big nose.

"Oh, we have a visitor. It's been a while."

Brogy meanwhile still lay on the floor.

"If I may ask, how long have you two been fighting?" That was a genuine question of his, as from the look of their weapons, this wasn't the first time.

"96 years."

His brow would furrow.

"Huh?! Why, are you guys like mortal enemies or something?" To that, they simply laughed as if this was a joke.

"You hear this, Brogy? The human thinks we hate each other."

They laughed.

"Hey, did I tell a joke or something?" He did not correct their assumption that he was human — this just meant his skills at hiding his identity were better now.

As for how the fuck he was hiding his big-ass wings — don't question it.

Said Wings currently were trying to reveal themself.

"We are warriors of Elbaf. We cannot return to our island before finishing this duel of ours. We will shame our heritage if we do so."

"So... y'all fought for 96 years? Ain't this a long time to fight?"

"Gegyagyagyagya!" This time it was Brogy laughing.

"We giants live about three times as long as you humans. We're still in our prime."

"I am not human," he would reply, feeling a bit annoyed. Sure, he was hiding the fact that he was a Lunarian, but from his vague memory of them, they were good people, and he wanted to learn from them — so better to start it off with a good impression.

Plus...a part of him, didnt want to hide his wings.

He would allow his wings to come out, and his fire to return.

A/N Ps the bold letter are there if my future self decide to do something like this, its not guarante so i put it in there just in case a safety net one might say.
