Dr. Vogt continued, "And now we move to the main part of this meeting, which most of you probably skipped to. The first attendee to speak is Anneli Dieter. She is here to tell us about the current state of our supply situation. Here you go, Anny."
Anneli(No. 6) said, "Well, there isn't much to say about that. The situation is not far off from what we predicted. Supplies are running a little lower than expected, but not to a degree that raises concern."
Dr. Vogt interjected, "You tell us not to worry, but why did the Baumanns and clines get worried? I mean, they moved their share of supplies inside their section. If that isn't cause for worry, I don't know what is."
Anneli replied, "I know what those kids did was wrong, and The two families have every right to act as they did. However, the situation is manageable, and we have devised a solution to stretch the remaining supplies to last the intended period and ensure such incidents do not Occur again."
Dr. Vogt asked, "Can you share with our listeners what that solution is?"
Anneli said, "I would like to pass this to my colleague here, Laurenz Wagner."
Dr. Vogt turned to Wagner, "Of course. Mr. Wagner, what's the solution?"
Wagner(No. 7) said, "Firstly, I need to explain to our young listeners what we mean when we call this incident, 'a problem'. We're not telling you not to have fun. On the contrary, we encourage you, young men and women, to have all the fun you can. What we're saying is that your actions, however little they may seem to you, can have significant and long-lasting consequences..."
"Little?" Dr. Vogt interrupted angrily, "Those kids blew up two weeks' worth of supplies while 'having fun'. Someone could have died in that incident."
Wagner responded, "Exactly. And those consequences don't just affect you;(meaning the kids) they affect the people around you and the community you live in. I'm not saying don't have fun. I'm saying if you do, be careful, because your actions can harm others. The problem has already occurred, and instead of pointing fingers, we need to focus on fixing it."
Dr. Vogt Interrupted again, "Yeah, you still haven't given us a solution."
Wagner replied, "Why don't I leave this to my young associate here, Steffi."
Dr. Vogt turned to Steffi strobel, saying, "You have to tell us this time. There's no one left On Your team."
Steffi(No. 8) continued, "The solution that we've agreed to move forward with and have already obtained Council approval on is already in progress. It consists of two parts: first, solving the immediate problem, and second, minimizing the chance of similar future occurrences. For the first part, we've devised a program to ration 30% of our usual consumption for the next four weeks starting tomorrow, with exceptions for those with medical conditions. This measure aims to bring us back on track and hopefully rebuild trust with the closed section."
Dr. Vogt interjected, "And how exactly do you plan to prevent this from happening again, especially with those kids still partying?"
Steffi replied, "As for the second part of the solution, the individuals responsible for this incident will face penalties, more strict. They will be restricted to only 60% of their current rations for 10 weeks. We've confirmed that none of them have any medical conditions that would relieve them from this punishment."
Dr. Vogt said, "So, less food, more time. That sounds fair to me, but it's not up to me, is it? It's up to the people listening.
And while we're on the matter, Dr. Lothar Eckstein, A medical one, could you update us on last week's casualties?"
Dr. Eckstein(No. 9) said, "the only thing those kids need is therapy. they blew up our food but missed themselves. the hospital is empty again and i have nothing to do."
dr. vogt replied, "maybe, you could say that in a more professional way?"
Dr. Eckstein stated, "The casualties from the incident are minimal, and require no additional treatment beyond what has already been provided."
Dr. Vogt responded, "Very good."
Dr. Vogt said, "Dr. Erdmann, you're here to inform our interested listeners about the state of the soldiers who survived that incident, the attack of Day Zero."
Erdmann(No. 3) replied, "Yes, indeed. Though I believe you overestimate what the listeners want, I'll provide the information Anyway. I'm pleased to Say that my treatment program has shown remarkable results. Four of the soldiers are progressing well and should be completing the program very soon. Another member has recently completed the initial cognitive treatment. Congratulations to her. I'll be continuing her sessions, and based on her current progress, she should be out of treatment in no time."
Dr. Vogt asked, "If you don't mind me asking, how is your research progressing?"
Dr. Erdmann said, "Well, as disappointing as it is, our research hasn't progressed much in the past month. The data from the survivor group we recently contacted outside, and even the footage from the functioning cameras, haven't provided enough conclusive information. The details shared by the external survivors mostly align with what we already know from our own twelve survivors. Despite the limited evidence, we believe we're nearing a stage where survival outside may become possible."
Dr. Vogt continued, "We actually have a question from one of our viewers."
"What viewers?" Erdmann interrupted, "Do you really think anyone still listens to you?"
"Yes, over 120." Dr. Vogt responded.
"I still find that hard to believe. What's the question?" Dr. Erdmann said.
Dr. Vogt said, "Dave asks 'how are there still people living outside?'"
Dr. Erdmann said, "Why are you asking me? Ask someone else."
Dr. Vogt nodded, "You're right. Let's ask someone from the communication team, Professor Kastner. How are people surviving outside?"
