The meeting of the Self-Formed Council of Scientists had just ended.
Two of the youngest members, Abi and Steffi, were leaving the meeting location together.
On their way out, they heard a man behind them say, "Hi there."
They looked behind. It was Professor Kastner, a member of the communication team. His daughter, Monica, who was walking beside him.
"It must have been hard for you, wasn't it?" Professor Kastner said to Steffi.
"What was?" Steffi asked.
"The punishment. I mean, you worked on it, didn't you?" Professor Kastner replied.
"I didn't, but I think that was more than fair, considering what they did," Steffi said.
"What a strong mind you've got there. And I'm glad you two are still friends," Professor Kastner said to Steffi.
"I don't mind it." Abi said. "What happened was simply wrong, and it won't happen again, sir."
"I wish my daughter was as reasonable as you two." Professor Kastner said, pointing at her. "She only made one friend in half a year,"
"Why would you say that?" Monica asked him, annoyed obviously.
"That's not unreasonable." Abi said. "In my opinion. It takes time to adjust to severe life changes,"
"Yeah, but she doesn't know any boys. At least That's what she tells me. It's quite unusual for her age," Kastner said.
Feeling awkward by her father's words, Monica quickly headed for the door. "Bye, Dad,"
"I guess that means I am leaving, too," Kastner said, before following her out.
Abi and Steffi left as well heading for the diner.
