Elena discussed happily with master Li for a while before deciding to head back home. He waved her good bye after telling her to visit more often, he was livelier whenever she was around.
Elena promised to do as he said whenever she had the chance.
However, on her way back Elena changed her mind, She drove back to the company instead for preferred to spend the night there all alone instead of going back home to a bunch of narrow minded people.
When she arrived, she found that everyone had retired home for the night except the night guards.
They greeted her respectfully as she walked pass them to the elevator.
She went straight to the top floor.
The place had only three different offices, the one at the middle which obviously was the largest belonged to her, the smallest one at the side was for her secretary and PA, the last one opposite hers was the board room where she normally held meetings with the board of directors and shareholders.
Though the building was well guarded, she took extra precaution to install a finger print or password lock on the door, no master card or any key could open the door. It was her own way of ensuring her own safety and that of her properties.
For the past four years since she had been running the company, no one had ever managed to temper with her confidential files, no one had gone inside when she was not around except her PA, and that too was only due to pressing matters which couldn't wait till her arrival.
Once, a competing company had sent someone to steal from her, that person had failed at the first attempt when he punched in the wrong set of numbers.
Unfortunately for him, Elena was just a stone throw away from the company, as she had just left the building to go back home,so she went to.
She use to flower vase to hit the man on his head rendering unconscious, when the man woke up, he was tied down on the floor.
He screamed till his throat was too dry and his voice became hoarse.
After some minutes of watching him, Elena lost her patient with him.
She roughly kicked the man on his knees.
He yelped loudly in pains.
After some minutes of rough handling the man spat everything he knew, he informed her that it was the Helberg's cooperation that paid him to sneak in and steal a document for the project they were both fighting for.
The company had managed to get a glimpse of how the document looked like, all he had to do was look for the document which marched the description.
Elena smiled in mockery, she sat quietly in deep thoughts for some minutes before her eyes lit up mischievously.
She stood up, staring dangerously at the man on the floor.
"I could sue you that company, you know, you'll spend the rest of your life rotting in jail, i am very sure the Helbergs would be able to save themselves after paying a series of compensations, but what about you, a poor man who would he considered incompetent after his failure on a simple task such as breaking into the office of a weak woman to steal a document? No one would ever care for you, afterall, you are of no use to them." The man shivered in shock as he understood what she said.
"I'll do anything.... anything.. please... don't send me to jail..... please..." The man pleaded shakily.
Elena smirked. "I'll hold you by your words, afterall, i understand you're nothing but a pawn in their games, so,I'm going to let you go, but first, you would have to do something for me."
She walked to her desk, inserted her fingerprint on the drawer, it automatically opened with a tiny squeak , she then brought out a green document, she took out the first page, place it on another irrelevant document, stapled it together before handing it to him.
"Since the project's meeting is in two days time, you will have to go into hidding for a day, Hand it to Hilary the day after tomorrow, let's see how he corrects his mistake after making a fool of himself."
Elena sent her PA to the meeting two days later, because she couldn't be seen by others as the CEO, no one knew who the real CEO was, so they all assumed the boss was Adam.
Elena sat in her office and watched everything that happened there that day in the meeting room, and just as had projected, Hilary had not deem it fit to go through the second page of the document, she wondered if he had that much trust in her company.
She got the contract because her PA had stepped in with a better proposal after a failed one from the Helberg's cooperation.
But she heard a week later that the man's body was found in a park, cold and lifeless.
She guessed they were more vicious than she had thought, she should have guessed that they would do something to him, then again, she minded her business, it wasn't her fault but theirs and that of the dead man.

No one had ever tried to sneak peek on her ever again, she felt the man must have told the Helbergs what had happened that day when he tried to sneak in, before they killed him.
The security was just too tight.

Elena walked straight to the door which everyone assumed led to the bathroom, but when she pushed open the door, a suite appeared before her. She locked the door from the inside before walking to the bathroom to freshen up.
After she had freshened up, she came out of the bathroom wearing a white bathrobe, she fell on the bed as she got to it.
As soon as her head touched the bed, she fell into a deep slumber.
