Chapter 20 - Spending time with the boyfriend

Cassy sat on the edge of Harris's, her legs crossed as she laughed at something he said. Harris chuckled, his eyes crkling at the corners as he poured her a glass of wine.

"I told you, Cassy, it was a disaster," he said, handing her the glass.

Cassy took a sip, her eyes sparkling with mirth. "Oh, Harris, you're such a mess."

Harris grinned, sitting down beside her. "Hey, I'm a charming mess."

Their eyes met, and the air in the room shifted. Cassy's breath caught as Harris's gaze lingered on hers, his voice dropping to a low, husky tone. "I've missed you."

Cassy's heart skipped a beat. "I've missed you too," she whispered back even though they had met the previous day.

Harris's fingers brushed against hers, sending shivers down her spine. "I'm glad you came," he said, his voice sending a thrill through her.

Cassy's lips parted as Harris's face moved closer, his breath whispering against her skin. "Me too," she whispered back.

The room fell silent, the tension between them palpable. Harris's eyes locked onto hers, his gaze burning with desire. "Cassy," he whispered, his voice sending a shiver down her spine.

Cassy's heart was racing as Harris's lips brushed against hers, the kiss gentle at first, then growing more urgent. Cassy's arms wrapped around his neck, pulling him closer.

As they broke apart, gasping for air, Harris's eyes locked onto hers. "I've wanted to do that since I saw you in that hot dress yesterday" he whispered, remembering when he visited her yesterday at the Wilson's estate.

Cassy smiled, her heart still racing. "I've wanted you to," she whispered back.

Harris's grin was wicked. "Good things come to those who wait," he said, pulling her into another kiss.

The duo tangled up on the bed, giving and taking, expressing what they believed was love.

Cassy and Harris strolled into the upscale Broadstone Mall in Newark, hand in hand, effortlessly blending in with the chic crowd . The scent of freshly brewed coffee wafted from the café, mingling with the soft hum of designer labels and luxury goods.

Harris, exuding a laid-back confidence, glanced at Cassy with a hint of a smile. "You know I'm splurging today," he said, his voice low and smooth.

Cassy laughed, a warm, throaty sound, and squeezed his hand. "I got the list. Clothes, shoes, accessories, bags. You better be ready to break the bank," she teased, her eyes sparkling with amusement.

They navigated the gleaming corridors, pausing at window displays that showcased the latest fashion trends. Harris pointed out a sleek leather jacket, and Cassy's eyes widened in approval. "That one's a must," she declared, tugging him towards the boutique.

Inside, Cassy tried on outfits, and Harris offered his critiques with a discerning eye. "That one's fire ," he said, as she modeled a fitted dress. "But the red one was better."

Cassy laughed, playfully rolling her eyes. "You're a tough critic, Harris."

They shopped on, Cassy picking out clothes, shoes, and bags. Harris insisted on getting her the designer boots she'd eyed. "They match the leather jacket," he said, settling the bill.

Shopping done, Harris led her to the parking lot. "Want me to drop you home?" he asked, opening the car door.

Cassy smiled, sliding in. "Thanks, Harris

Harris drove through the streets quietly except for the soft music playing.

He pulled up to the gates of the Wilson's estate, the security guards nodding as they drove through. He continued up the winding driveway, trees lining the path.

As they approached the mansion, Harris asked, "Need help carrying stuff in?"

Cassy, expecting it to be a given, smiled lazily. "Yeah, would you?"

Harris nodded, getting out to grab some bags. Cassy led him into the grand foyer, where a maid greeted them.

"Put them in my room, please," Cassy said to the maid, handing over some bags. To Harris, "Thanks for today."

Harry handed over the rest of the bags. "Anytime." He pulled her in for a deep kiss, he pulled away when he was satisfied.

Harris smiled at her. "Catch you later."

Cassy nodded, heading upstairs. "Later."

She was all smiles as she went in, she couldn't wait to show her mother and her friends the things that he bought for her.
