As for the powerfull churches or sects there's the seven gods church ,the three dwarves churche,the eleven elves church, twin gods orcs and their equivalent dark or evil ones and as many as you can count of minor deity faiths.
As for where he is in the book they call the the South continent and they haven't travelled it all they are many area an explored yet but he wouldn't be surprised if he fin out later that it's just som big island.
As for him his Barrony belongs to a loose empire called the holly empire consisting of few kingdoms who take turns the role of emperor,a bunch of princes who can vote who become emperor a dozen of duchy's and a large number of marquis,earldom, county's and even more viscounty and barronys.
And his stand at frontier of the empire far from the centre his role to defended against other factions aggression and further expand his territory that's why his Barrony is bigger than the others.
As for the grand-duchy of the Pendragon it's part of a more centralised empire called the Teton empire.
They are other empires but for him he will probably not intercat with in the near futur.
And finally he found that they are some wizard who specialise in blood called blood wizard he should try to contact them and those of the necromancy school to try get som spells and books to help him study his affinity further in order to have more control and better use them.
So he called for Crowley right after the door opened the always ready butler came in and said:'did you call young master?'.
Damien answered him:' yes Crowley I have few things to take of them personally '.
Crowley:' I will be happy young lord just ask'.
Then Damien started talking:' I would like to look for some some books about magic and spell books for dark,shadow and earth elements second a would like to look for some ruffians or outcast who are at level 1 but at the end of their ropes specifically warriors ones and some candidate to become stewards with good loyalty and capabilities '.

Hearing this the acosta envoy said:'i will surely do'.

Like expecting this Jack said:' my lord would like to have friendly relation with lord Damien and also to make a trade deal in order to purchase in excess of grain,iron ore, weapons and other products as of you now we are at war with those boorish brights'.
