"I'm glad to hear you've understood everything. I have one last thing to do before we go."
Il Ji turned around and went to the back room. Using the MK-9, he sucked all of the ant tubes into the alternate dimension inside the gun before returning to join them. "Shall we go to the mansion?"
He then walked up to his little sister. "Ready to have some fun, Laila?"
"Yes!" She shouted enthusiastically.
"Then, let's." The driver grabbed their suitcases before the two had even made it close. He had already placed them gently inside the trunk by the time they stepped outside.
Il Ji tossed Pneuma the key to the door and asked her to lock it. Placing both suitcases in the back, he turned around and saw the driver having already opened the door for Laila, who was clambering inside.
Pneuma sat in the front passenger's seat, while he joined Laila in the back. The driver shut the trunk via a button, and they were on their way.
Il Ji held a conversation with Laila in the back; the front was silent.
Once they reached the mansion, Il Ji's eyes moved to watch his sister. Both her eyes and mouth were wide open. Chuckling to himself, he let her immerse herself in the 'bigness' of the villa.
In short order, they arrived at their destination. The driver came around and opened the door for Il Ji. Laila soon followed him out.
"Master Il Ji, I welcome your return."
"Thanks, Barry. This is my little sister, Laila. I believe Sebastian is waiting for us?"
"Yes, that he is. This way, sir."
Il Ji watched several people in black and white uniforms shuffle off their suitcases.
In short order, he had found his friend.
"Sebastian!"
"Il Ji! And Laila! How good to see you two. This is my little sister, Maya. Maya, why don't you show Laila where we keep the snacks? We'll join you two in a minute."
"So, Il Ji. I've prepared rooms for the two of you in the guest house closest to the mansion. I've told Alfredo to give them access to the pool, and I have several spare swimsuits that Maya has yet to find if Laila needs one."
"Additionally, I can set them up in our theater for movies or games for however long you'd like." Sebastian paused, waiting for a response.
"She completed her homework; find with her being in the theater until 8PM. If they want to have a pillow party, pool time, or whatever else after that sounds fine to me as long as she gets to bed before 10:30."
"Good! I'll relay it to Alfredo. How's the project coming along? Need anything?"
"If I could go throughout the night, I'd finish a lot faster. As it is, the math in hours is ((140+X)*1.5). Do you have a beast that would let me work overnight?"
Sebastian shook his head. "While I don't have a beast that can do that, I can easily get you one. As it is, I have an acquaintance that deals in [Sleeper Sloths]. The catch is that you'd have to use up one of your soul slots. Do you have anything else that could help you speed up?"
"I do have something I plan to try, but it's a bit of a gamble. Speaking of which, I'd like to add another beast to the tab."
"Alright. Done. Which one?"
"Bronze Monkey. Preferably one with the only skill being [Bronze Skin]."
"Alright. Would you like me to send you some stamina-type healing beasts?"
"Yes. Yes please. Yes in the entirety of the word."
Sebastian laughed and clapped him on the back. "Alright, alright. Bro- I got you."
Sebastian froze for a moment, then asked a question. "Il Ji, surely you have a larger task than just what's in the other room, yes?"
"Indeed I do. The majority of beasts I obtained separately. I truly do need to hurry at this stage. Talk to you later?"
"By all means. See you when you finish."
Il Ji found his way through the mansion home on his own. Now that he had perfect recall…
He found Barry waiting outside the room. "Barry, I do not require your assistance yet, but I may later tonight."
"Whatever you need."
Il Ji smiled. Stepping into the training room, he made his way over to the training dummy. It was here that he summoned Duvwun.
Theoretically, if he accidentally mimicked her [Primordial] skill, he would immediately die in the pain of a thousand fiery suns.
However, it would take much longer to get a [Primordial] skill than it would to gain the [Copper] skill he needed, [Copper Body]. He could only assume that having both [Copper Body] and [Iron Body] would shorten his copy time even further.
If he had [Copper Body], [Iron Body], and [Bronze Body]…
Since his 'sleep method' truly randomized the results, though, he only had two chances. That, and since both Duvwun and Duvtu had a litany of 15 skills each, he needed Duvwun to 'use' the skill while he copied it.
This would, of course, still give him the chance to receive [Iron Body] and [Copper Body] both- but, since he already had [Iron Body], he was bound to get the skill he needed.
