Chapter 34 - Quality Gossip

It was past ten but none of us was interested in sleeping so ofcourse we ended up gossiping.

"She is such a moron. I don't get why is she always rude to everyone like I just asked her for an extra pen and she said that she doesn't talk to beggars. I mean who even does that!"

"So didn't you say anything back?"

"I did. I said funny some people are proud of being coddled their entire life. Stop using your daddy's credit card and try to earn once. Pretty sure no one will ever employ such a brat. Being middle class doesn't mean being poor and being poor is not even a bad thing."

"Wow, I never knew you were so savage."

"What did she say then?"

"Ma'am Janhvi is saying that I am coddled. Then I told ma'am that she was saying I was poor."

"She is such a jerk."

"Funny part she thinks she is cool."

"Well on Monday, Rudraksh was asking her if she knew where Arjun sir was, she said, no I am not a teacher's pet. And you know what he said pretty ironic as if someone says anything to you, you cry and complain about them just like a teacher's pet."

"And then her friend Radhika started arguing with him."

"And when he said can't she fight for herself or does she need an assistant like you she started crying."

"Can you believe it!"

"I don't remember this ever happening."

"Cause you were absent genius. You should have atleast told us that you were not coming."

"Sorry guys."

"You never tell us before taking a leave."

"I said sorry okay."

It was pretty late. About eleven I think. When we heard music absolutely blasting from the room beside ours. It wasn't normal music either, I am talking about full on swearing and comtaning age inappropriate content.

"Whose room is that again."

"Who could it be except Alice, Radhika and their group you know."

"That creature!" Said Shivangi rolling her eyes.

"Yay some drama is going down here. And the best part we will be the eye witness."

"Look Ms. Suhani is coming."

We all peeped through the window like detectives driven from teen curosity and drama. We saw Ms. Suhani banging on their door. Radhika opened it up. Fumbling around looking pretty high on drugs. OMG! This would be some thing to tell the group. I have some nice quality gossip ready for them.

Ms Suhani was calling someone. Most likely other teachers for backup.

"Should we go out?"

"I don't think we should."

"But she seems to be having a hard time with them."

Once again we glared out and could see our teacher trying to handle this group of wasted girls definately high on drugs.

"I suppose we should."

"What if we get in trouble."

"We shouldn't."

We got out. And peeped into the room beside ours. It looked like a diaster had hit it. Well, disaster is one way to describe it. Teen parties are diasters. The room reeked of weed and some other thing I couldn't exactly name. They were surely partying.

"Girls please go back in your room."

"Actually if you need our help-"

"Uhh.. no.. thanks." Then she sighed "Sorry to ask you for this but could you just, you know keep a watch and make sure that they don't do anything crazy or dangerous."

"Sure."

Not many female teachers had gone on this trip. And that was a poor descision surely. Ms. Suhani was calling other teachers. She had a very worried expression on her face. She was new at the job and quite inexperienced.

"I can't believe this! Nothing like that has happened before!"

About fifteen minutes later I saw other teachers hurrying down the hallway. Of course they made us leave and there was no reason for us to stay there any longer. But... there was a reason for us to eavesdrop. And that reason was none other than our curiosity. Because hey! You are stupid if you mind your buisness in that moment. So we got near the window and started peeping but we couldn't exactly see anything going in the room. We tried to hear things.

We could make out vague sentences like, call their parents, good atleast they seem to be coming back to their senses. And teachers just trying to keep everything under control.

About an hour later the matter was definitely resolved. We don't know much about the aftermath but the group didn't complete the whole trip and left early that morning. We were a little taken aback by the whole incident but it was kinda fun, I guess. Just a rather unique experience.

We visited the Jal Mahal and Hawa Mahal and it was a really decent experience. I liked the place and my group made it even more fun than I honestly thought it would be. I was really happy. The trip was ending soon. We had our DG night which was super fun. We danced like the world was going to end. Everybody started dancing despite them not knowing how to. I was one of them too. Dancing was just never my thing. I still feel it's for too energetic people and not for ones like me.

It was our final night and we were sitting in our room, talking like usual when we heard Shivangi's phone ring. She picked it up, it was unkown number.

"Hello."

"Uh..hello."

"Where are you I have been standing out of my house for so long."

"I think you dialed the wrong number."

That voice was quite familiar to me. So I told them I will handle it.

"Hello where are you with my pizza?"

"I am just in front of your house."

"Wait, but I have been standing out of my house for fifteen minutes."

"What's your house number?"

"One hundred thirteen."

"Oh, I think I am in the wrong lane."

"Hurry up!"

"Sorry sir, your pizza's coming right up."

"Yeah, yeah I see you."

Then both of us started laughing so hard. And so was the trio of girls beside me I could hear it from the other end.

"A cheese pizza for the pizza guy coming right up."

"Thank you Sandwich emperess for being the pizza delivery girl. Also the cheese pull is really nice."

It is really fun to be a normal teenager, huh. And for these two beautiful days I felt like one.
