Chapter 33 - A Nice Day

We took some selfies and pictures.

"Shivangi give your phone it has better camera."

"Here."

"Hey, Kaveri don't go uploading it on insta with caption like girly pops."

"Guys I have deleted my account like two months ago. And I never uploaded anything."

"Students form a line over here."

As I was standing in the line. I saw Manan, Kartik and Rudraksh teasing Siddhanth probably about Samriddhi. All of them completely enjoying the whole thing.

Later we boarded our buses and started playing UNO. Somehow we have played so many matches of this game and yet we have not been bored with it. Amazing right!

Surprising to see it's evening already. Time really pases by when you have a good time but seems to stop when you are in your lowest. Somehow fate, time, life, society, health all seems to get worse when you are facing the toughest things you have ever seen. It almost feels like they are mocking us, enjoying making us suffer. In that period of time everything seems so pointless. As pointless as ones presence. Or maybe there is nothing pointless, it is us whom things seem pointless. Why am I thinking this right now.

"Hey Chandni it's you turn."

"Oh, sorry."

"Where are you lost all the time."

"Wow, you sound like Arjun sir."

"Respect your elders. They are here to guide you."

"He says he doesn't like scolding us and then goes on scolding the whole class for no reason."

"Seriously."

"Look we are here."

We collected our cards and got off the bus. I don't need to tell you that we stood in a queue for a long time, waiting for everybody to get out of the bus. Then the teachers had to do the head count, give us instructions no one cares to follow.

"Once everybody has had dinner you are not allowed to go out. Be here at eight p.m. sharp for your dinner. You are to be in bed by ten p.m. , when I say ten p.m. I mean it. Also you are to be in your own rooms after dinner. No one will go to meet their friends or something of the sort. Got it."

"Yes sir!"

"Good. You will not be allowed to go for any other trip or competition if you are to disobey the instructions. Got it."

"Yes sir!"

"Okay go to your rooms."

I am pretty sure that the louder someone said yes sir the more bound they are to break the rules. Seriously, why do they even bother. Well you have to fullfil the formalities, right.

We sat down all pretty tired. It was fun but a little tiring. Majority for the others. You know I have been used to a crazy amount of traveling and climbing and physical activities. Was part of my job.

Before we had known it, it was time for dinner. The food was really good with a lot of variety. There was Indian, chinese, and italian. All over the dinner was really nice and tasted even better because all of us were hungry.

We were in our rooms. And by the looks of excitement on everybody's face I personally don't think we were gonna be in bed be ten. Poor teachers, barking instructions at all of us rebellious teenagers. They probably weren't expecting anybody to follow them. At least I hope not.

We started talking.

"Hey Chandni don't you get tired of sitting with Aarush all the time."

"That was pretty random."

"I know. I just don't like the guy. I mean he is nice and all. He is talented, good looking, hardworking, popular, athletic and humble. But he kinda seems fake."

"I know. Fake that is the beast way to describe it. It seems as if he is pretending to be humble and all while judging everyone silently."

"He is a big attention seeker too. Like bro you are not the centre of the earth."

"I dunno I just have this bad feeling about him. Really bad feeling."

"Like what kind of bad?"

"I dunno as if something is wrong like really wrong with him."

"Guys I think you are just overthinking or something. Not every nice guy has to be secretly evil or something. You know what I mean."

"Yeah maybe you are right."

"Did you guys have a fight or something before."

"We did fight in the class remember."

"Yeah I do but like something before that."

"Uhmm no."

"I feel like he is nice to all the others except you. Like he doesn't mind when anybody says that he can't sit with them."

"Well maybe he just doesn't like the quiet people you know."

"Yeah probably one of the rich people things."

"Hey Chandni aren't you like rich too."

"I mean you can say that."

"Maybe he wants to be the only rich kid in class."

"Come on leave the guy alone already."

"Why are you defending him?"

"Because you have been making fun of him for a lot of time."

"Okay I am so sorry mummy Janhavi."

"You!"

"Hahaha is mummy mad now?"

"Kaveri don't disrespect the mother of our class."

"Right. I am so sorry."

"Chandni you are on my side. I am not at all motherly."

"I want to say yes but mummy we shouldn't lie."

"Ahh come on you too "

"Hehe you are all alone on this one."

"Whatever."

What a nice group to be with. What a nice life to live. What a nice day it is. At times it feels too good. Too good to be given to me. I know I don't deserve being here. Smiling, laughing, living a normal teen life. I pretend to be normal meanwhile knowing you would never be. Somehow pretending makes me feel better. Makes me feel like I really belong. This world and the world I was first born in are million light years away. The life I spent, the people I once lived with are a million light years away too. And all I carry of that life are scars. Sometimes I just wanna disappear. Disappear into thin air. Disappear so no one could find me. Erased from everyone's memories. No matter where I am, how I am, what I am, there is this one constant unwavering feeling 'Sometimes I just want to disappear.'
