Chapter 9 - Part8:The Battle of Inazuma Landing

Conitnued from the previous chapter. Lü Bu's army had seized strategic positions in Liyue and formed an alliance with Snezhnaya. He then recruited soldiers far and wide, built up a powerful army, and joined forces with Snezhnaya, Yuan Shao, and Yuan Shu to launch an attack on Inazuma, which lay across from Liyue. Although they encountered Beidou's fleet along the way, it did not hinder the allied forces from advancing toward Inazuma.

His advisor Chen Gong devised a plan for Lü Bu: place dummy soldiers on empty ships to shield the main force, use rocket ships built by Snezhnaya to push forward and secure a landing, send Zhang Liao with assassins to kill Zhuge Liang. After landing in Inazuma, order Yuan Shao to attack Kannazuka and Yuan Shu to strike Tsurumi Island. They would surround the allied forces of the Inazuma Shogunate and take the Raiden Shogun's head.

When the east wind blows, Inazuma shall fall.

In the ever‑changing world of Teyvat, Lü Bu, the unparalleled warrior under heaven, led a massive fleet toward the mysterious land of Inazuma. The battle flags on the ships fluttered fiercely, revealing Lü Bu's towering ambition.

Chen Gong, a brilliant strategist, stayed by Lü Bu's side to assist him. Standing at the bow, he stared at the rough, stormy seas, his brow slightly furrowed as he quietly contemplated the coming battle.

On Inazuma's side, Zhuge Liang and Pang Tong, two masterminds, were busy plotting to repel Lü Bu's invasion. Zhuge Liang observed the stars at night, made his calculations, and foresaw a strong east wind would soon blow. A plan formed in his mind: to use the east wind to set fire to Lü Bu's fleet. Pang Tong proposed the Iron Chain Strategy, chaining Inazuma's warships together to make them more stable in battle and better suited for a fire attack.

Everything was ready. The Inazuma army stood in full battle array, waiting only for the east wind to strike a fatal blow against Lü Bu's forces.

But Chen Gong remained vigilant. He sharply noticed the unusual movements of the Inazuma army and paced back and forth among the fleet all day, searching for a way to break the enemy's trap.

Then, on an ordinary‑looking night, Chen Gong watched the faint currents in the sky and the flight of seabirds over the waves. A sudden realization struck him — this was the sign that Zhuge Liang was going to summon the east wind. At the same time, he spotted the fatal flaw in the chained Inazuma warships.

Chen Gong rushed to Lü Bu at once and laid out his discovery.

"My lord, Zhuge Liang plans to use the east wind to burn our fleet. Pang Tong has chained their ships together. It seems clever, but it is full of weaknesses. We can do this…"

When Lü Bu heard the plan, he slammed the table in admiration, respecting Chen Gong's wisdom even more.

When the east wind finally blew, the Inazuma army believed their moment had come. They set their warships ablaze and charged toward Lü Bu's fleet.

But Lü Bu's army was already prepared. Following Chen Gong's strategy, they scattered quickly and dodged the fire ships. Meanwhile, Lü Bu personally led an elite unit in light, agile boats, striking straight at the weak points of the Inazuma formation.

The Inazuma soldiers realized the danger and tried to regroup, only to find their warships trapped by iron chains, barely able to move. Lü Bu's forces seized the chance to attack fiercely. Shouts of battle shook the heavens, and flames dyed the sea red.

In the fierce fighting, Lü Bu wielded his Sky Piercer halberd and charged at the forefront. Everywhere he went, enemies fell in droves. His bravery terrified the Inazuma army, and their morale plummeted instantly.

Zhuge Liang and Pang Tong were utterly helpless amid the sudden turn of events. They never imagined their carefully laid trap would be seen through by Chen Gong in an instant.

As Zhuge Liang was overwhelmed with mixed feelings, Zhang Liao's hidden arrow struck him in the back. Gravely wounded, Zhuge Liang fell. The Inazuma army lost heart and quickly retreated into the city to fortify their defenses.

In the end, the Inazuma army was utterly defeated. Lü Bu's forces successfully landed in Inazuma.

Standing on Inazuma's soil, Lü Bu looked upon this strange yet promising land, his heart filled with overwhelming pride. He knew this was only the first step in his conquest of the world. Many more challenges awaited him in the days ahead.

And Chen Gong, the wise strategist, would continue to stand by his side, offering counsel and assisting him in achieving a great hegemony.
