More than fourteen hundred years ago, the land of Arabia was covered in darkness, not of night, but of ignorance. This period was known as Jahiliyyah, the Age of Ignorance. People worshipped idols made of stone and wood. Tribes fought endlessly over small matters. The strong oppressed the weak. Women had no rights, and many baby girls were buried alive out of shame. Wealth was worshipped, truth was ignored, and justice was rare.
Yet, in this land of moral decay, Allah had prepared the world for the greatest transformation in human history.
