Chapter 17 – Punishment of the System
Our story begins from where it ended last time.
Inside the gate –
Navi says to the hunter,
"Leave all the magic crystals here."
The hunter does as he is told.
Navi looks at him and says,
"Am I really that scary that you're so afraid of me?"
One hunter gathers courage and asks,
"Who are you… and which guild are you from?"
Navi stares at him angrily and replies,
"No guild has the right to keep me."
A message appears on Navi's system window:
"You used your power in front of humans against the system's rules.
Therefore, you are being punished.
Your entire power will be sealed for one month.
From now on, you are a normal human.
You must survive for one month to regain your power."
Navi (in his mind):
"What nonsense is this?"
"What if I refuse to accept this?"
System Window:
"You cannot refuse.
I am not asking you, I am informing you."
The system writes again:
"If you do not accept this, kill all the humans present here.
Everything will return to how it was before.
It is your choice whether to do it or not.
If you accept the punishment, you may leave them alive."
Navi:
"System, has your mind gone crazy?"
Navi thinks,
"I have no other option."
Navi asks,
"How long before my power disappears?"
System Window:
"Five minutes."
Navi puts his belongings into his space ring and says to the hunter,
"I will meet you at the gate.
And don't tell anyone about me."
The gate is about to open.
The boss monster has already been killed.
After saying this, Navi leaves the place.
Navi reaches the goblin monster.
The goblin asks,
"What happened to my lord?
I can't feel his energy anymore."
Navi replies,
"He is dead.
Now it is your turn to die."
The monster trembles in fear,
"Master, please don't kill me.
I will be useful to you."
Navi:
"Alright, make a contract with me."
Monster:
"Okay."
Navi:
"First, make all these humans unconscious.
They must not remember anything."
The monster does so.
"Any other orders, my lord?"
Navi:
"I don't have time.
Quickly enter my ring."
Navi stores the monster inside his space ring.
Outside the gate –
The guild leaders see the gate's color changing from yellow to blue.
The Tiger Guild leader says,
"Why is it turning blue?
Has the boss monster been killed?"
The Sky Guild leader replies,
"Let's go inside and check."
They enter the gate along with their hunters.
Soon, news spreads everywhere:
"The yellow gate has been cleared."
The people of the city are very happy.
There is no danger anymore.
Inside the gate –
Navi is shown speaking in his mind with the Black Shadow.
Navi:
"Go now.
I don't need you at the moment.
Let me handle this."
Black Shadow:
"Alright, little brother.
Take care of yourself.
For now, I'm leaving.
When I return, it will be explosive.
Next time I will enter your body without asking."
Navi:
"Since when did you become my big brother?"
Black Shadow:
"Didn't you like me calling you brother?"
Navi:
"It's not that.
I've been alone for a long time
in that monster world,
with only the system window."
Black Shadow:
"Now you have me.
You don't need anyone else.
Whenever you need me, call me."
Navi:
"Okay.
Now go."
Navi walks toward the humans
and pretends to be unconscious.
**Scene shift –
Inside Navi's ring:**
The goblin stands there, confused.
"Where has my lord sent me?"
He is shocked.
In front of him are six statues,
each representing a different color.
The goblin says,
"I can feel an extremely powerful aura here."
As he turns around,
two red eyes glow in the darkness.
Someone walks out of the shadows.
The goblin trembles and says,
"You… you are that one…"
And our chapter ends here.
