Chapter 23 – The System's Heart
Our story begins from where it previously ended.
Navi –
I will not believe you. You kept calling me "system, system"… and while crying, you turned out to be a liar.
Unknown Voice –
Check your hand. When the system window accepted you as its master, a flower tattoo appeared on your hand. Is it still there?
Navi –
He checks his hand and becomes shocked. He falls backward.
This… this can't be possible…
He speaks to the system window,
"This is your master's order. Come to me right now."
But the system does not appear.
"Please come…
You said you would stay with me… with me…"
He speaks while crying.
Navi –
He shouts at the system window,
"Traitor! Come back! You said you would never leave me!"
Unknown Voice –
Why are you showing so much emotion for a system window? You are a complete fool.
Navi –
You will never understand the relationship between me and her.
Unknown Voice –
My master has sent you another gift. You will like it.
Navi is shown a video on a window.
It shows the system and Kartik fighting.
The system is being brutally beaten without mercy.
In the video, the system is calling Navi.
Seeing how it disappears, Navi becomes shocked.
Navi –
"You bastards! Leave her alone!
Why are you killing her?
What have we done to you?"
Navi –
He shouts angrily,
"You will regret this!
No matter where you hide in this world, I will give you a death more painful than this!"
A black aura begins to leak from Navi's body.
Unknown Voice –
What a joke.
Someone with no power thinks he can kill my master?
You have no right to live.
You should not exist in this place.
After saying this, the voice disappears, adding before leaving:
"You don't have much time left."
Navi –
He just stands there, frozen.
Navi stares at the core.
Suddenly, the core transforms into a bracelet.
On it is the system's core—
what could be called the heart of the system.
At that moment, Navi opens his eyes.
Navi –
"Where am I?"
He looks around and is shocked to find himself in a hospital.
"Why am I in a hospital?"
Just then, a nurse enters the room.
Nurse –
"You're awake."
Navi –
"How long have I been here? How many days?"
Nurse –
"You were unconscious for the last two days."
Navi –
He asks in shock,
"Was I really unconscious for that long?"
Nurse –
"Don't worry. I'll call the doctor right away."
Navi –
He tries to stand up, but his body fails him.
He thinks,
"Why does my body hurt so much?
I can't feel any power inside me at all."
Doctor –
"Don't try to move too much. Your body is very weak. You need rest."
Navi –
"Who brought me here?"
Doctor –
"This hospital belongs to the Tiger Guild.
Their members brought you here."
The doctor hands him medicine.
Doctor –
"Take this medicine and rest."
Navi –
"Okay. Everyone, please leave."
The doctor steps outside and makes a phone call.
Doctor –
"Sir, he has regained consciousness. He has been moved to a VIP room."
Voice from the other side –
"Good. Keep an eye on him. I'm coming to meet him."
On the other end of the call is none other than Billy, the son of the Tiger Guild leader.
Billy –
He tells his driver,
"Hurry to the hospital. I need to meet Navi."
Driver –
"Yes, sir."
They leave immediately.
From the upper building, the Tiger Guild leader watches everything.
His personal secretary approaches him.
Secretary –
"The young master has gone to the hospital to meet Navi."
Steve –
"Keep an eye on him.
Since he left the gate, he has changed a lot."
Secretary –
"Yes, Master. Do you have any other orders?"
Steve –
"No. You may go."
And with that, the chapter ends.
